Stu was very professional and thorough in moving our table. From protecting the floor in both the current and new location with moving blankets to vacuuming up after himself to polishing the entire wood portion of the table with furniture polish, Stu was a class act. He was meticulous in making sure the table was flat in every area. I’ve had the table moved before and the other companies don’t compare. His price was very fair as well.
Just a hint if you haven’t had your table moved before, make sure you ask if they are going to take it apart or not. Some companies tell you it’s OK to move it without taking it apart, but that doesn’t seem to be true. I’m no expert, but from everything I’ve read, and Stu confirmed, it’s just too heavy to move in one piece without the fittings being stressed and damaged. Stu took our table apart very carefully and put it all back together. By the time he brushed the felt and polished the wood, it looks and plays better than it did before.

Great guy who really knows his business. On time, got it done professionally and courteously. Very conscientious about getting it done right, including the leveling. Would highly recommend for your billiard moving needs.

I called around getting estimates to move a Pool Table from Lodi to Grass Valley and I needed it done the next day, which was going to be during a severe rain storm. Nobody else was able to accommodate my timeframe and Stu’s Pool Table Movers were also very reasonably priced, so I chose to go with them.
They arrived on time and had the Pool Table professionally disassembled AND securely loaded in 45 minutes. He laid blankets down and had the place clean throughout the process as well. I was concerned about the rain but Stu assured me that he had moved Tables in the rain before and that my table would not get wet at all.
We drove the 150 miles to my house and I watched Stu and his partner work their magic! He installed the legs and got the frame straight and level before putting the base and any slates on. Each slate was placed, cleaned, leveled and then sanded, cleaned and bonded. He then sanded and cleaned the slates again and fine tuned the leveling to ensure a smooth, perfectly leveled playing field. They were able to successfully use the existing felt and had it stretched, installed, cleaned and ready to play on in record time. They precisely installed the rails which line up length wise as well as height was. Then they wiped down all the wood on the table with some special oil that brought the wood back to life and made it shine.
This table looks way better now then it did when it was set up at the place I bought it from!
I learned a lot about Stu’s capabilities while I personally observed the whole process from beginning to end. He wasn’t satisfied unless I was totally happy with his work and for this I thank him greatly! I highly recommend them for all your Pool Table needs.

Mary and Stu are one of a kind. Having to coordinate with Multiple Home Owners, the buying and the selling party isn’t the easiest thing to do with schedules. Mary was always attentive with phone calls. Stu informed me that after picking up the pool table that the pool pockets were not in the greatest shape and he had some extra at the shop available. All around great service. Pool Tables are not easy to move or deal with. These folks now how to schedule it, manage it. Great Service.
The level of detail Stu puts in with moving your table is pretty amazing.
At first I thought it was just a heavy piece of furniture that just required muscle. ITS BRAINS.
The detail with every edge, slate piece, pocket, bumper and screw hole.
They even polished the table at the time of assembling it. They made it appear brand new.
Stu also made sure it was level in every angle possible.

Stu did our pool table set up for a great price! I got 3 quotes, he was the cheapest! He promised he would set it up in time for Thanksgiving, and he did! Even though he had to come late to do it! Our pool table looks great! He knows what he is doing! I am so happy I found him, we will be using him again to move our pool table!

Fast, Fast, Fast! Had Stu move a pool table I sold. They were quick and professional, no complaints.

One of the best things about this company is that they answer the phone. When I called someone answered the phone and was able to give me an estimate right away. I hate calling someone for information and having to leave a message and never getting a call back. I want answers to my quetions right away.
Prices were really resonable for the service. They had to take down the table completely and then reassemble the table once he got it back to my house. This process took hours so I can see where the priceing comes in. It was something that basically took up most of the day. These are not regular movers who are just moving furniture Stu was a professional pool table mover who knew what he was doing and how to take the table apart and reassemble.
Super professional and clean he was putting down carpets to protect my flooring during the process, took off his shoes etc. very considerate. He also polished the table upon completion and made sure it was balanced and placed correctly in the room for appropriate spacing.
Overall a great experience I will deff use again if I need to move the table.

Hired these guys earlier this month. I was hesitant to buy a used table because of the moving process. I was very impressed and would recommend them for your move. They were quick and did a great job. No complaints, very smooth process.

Just can’t stop smiling!!! He and his helper were really great guys, and Stu beat a quote we got from another place AND came out less than a week after requesting his moving and refelting services. The soonest anyone said they could do the job was 6 weeks and the family we bought the table from needed us to get it NOW, so Stu coming all the way from Sac to Cottonwood, to Anderson here. He had the table felted in no time and it’s gorgeous, he guarantees his work for 3 years as long as we don’t try moving it ourselves. No problem! We will be doing all our purchases for all of our billiard needs through him period. Gave care tips and both guys were very cool with our puppy!

Stu installed our used pool table, explaining every step of the way! He offered suggestions on how to care for it, and talked to us about replacing the pockets and felt. At no point did I feel pressured or hard sold to go with him on any updates we plan to do to the table, but boy would I! He is very knowledgeable and professional, and I was beyond pleased with the way the table looked once completed. He was well priced, and worth every penny!

I found this company on Unilocal and decided to hire them based on Unilocal reviews. I first made the appt for Wednesday morning between 10−11am. I called at 10:30am on the morning of the appt to see when they’d be arriving, but as it turned out they were running late so we agreed to reschedule for 4−5pm on Friday. As it turns out, that was probably a good idea because moving a pool table is not a quick thing… not if you want to do it correctly, anyway.
Picture this… my idea is 4 beefy guys show up in a big truck and they manhandle this beast of a gorgeous Olhausen table out of my house and into the truck, etc… you get the picture, right?
No, that’s not the deal!!!
Friday afternoon came, so i called about 4:30pm to again inquire about their timing. I left a message and then the owner, Stu Swain, called right back and said they’d arrive by 5pm. Okay, cool… I’m thinking the above «beefy guys in a big truck» scenario… About 5pm this man and woman pull up in a questionable looking beater truck… and I’m completely FREAKED OUT!!! He asks how I’m doing and I tell him I was fine until I saw him pull up in his beater truck.

He proceeds to tell me that he’d been a recent accident and not to worry they’ve got it covered because they’re going to take the entire table apart!!! WHAT?! :(I’m thinking, «OMG, what have I done?!»
Sooooo, that’s exactly what he and Erica did. They stripped it down completely. I couldn’t watch because I was so worried that I hired «Sanford & Sons» to rip me off, so I went in the house and started packing boxes. Meanwhile, my patient boyfriend stayed and watched them, talked with them, etc. Found out there were some problems from the previous move, so Stu wanted to stop at Home Depot for a couple items so that he could make the necessary repairs when reassembling.
We chose to follow them to Home Depot, because of course I’m still thinking they’re scammers or something crazy like that. All went well there, then they followed us all the way from Fair Oaks to Rocklin. I relaxed alot once we got to our house in Rocklin.
Stu and Erica laid out blankets, put all their supplies (tons of stuff is involved BTW) on them, took off their shoes and walked around in their socks (yes, clean socks… lol!), we’re friendly with our dogs and cats who kept checking them out and they went to work on this table… and didn’t stop til it was IMMACULATE AND ABSOLUTELY PRECISION PERFECT!!!
Our whole experience, door to door, took 5 hours plus a couple repairs, but Stu stuck with his original quote of $ 300. So, NEVER JUDGE Unilocalers… take my word for it (and I’ve posted alot of reviews) this guy had the Nordstrom’s attitude of making sure the finished product is 100% PERFECTION!!! And all this while being courteous, friendly, quiet and a solid worker!!!
Yes, i would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND him and will absolutely use him again!!! Happy customer for life!

Contacted Stu”s for a pool table move to take place within 14 days and received an appointment two days after the desired date for an arrival at the initial location of 9:00. On the day of the appointment I received a telephone call at 9:45 to say that he was running late and wouldn’t arrive until 10:30. I then called him and he advised it would be 10:45 until he would arrive. After additional phone calls because he had not arrived he finally arrived at 11:30 when I was supposed to have been at another appointment by 11:00. He advised it would be approximately 30 minutes to break down and load the table and an additional two hour drive time to get to the receiving location. He and his female assistant proceeded to complete the job in the garage while I left for my appointment with them advising they would secure my front garage door upon their departure.
After approximately four hours with the pool table not arriving at the other location we began calling Stu to determine that he wasn’t lost and what the delay was. Stu never answered the telephone calls and didn’t return the calls from the messages left. After another hour and a half with no contact and no pool table delivered, I resigned myself to the fact that my pool table was most likely gone forever and my interior garage door was probably kicked in… thank God I had set my alarm! I was dreading making a police report to explain how I had left Stu inside my garage while I left my home for my other appointment. After another hour Stu finally showed up at the delivery location — alone with no one to help him carry the slates upstairs for installation and relying on the recipient to assist him in setting up the table.
Stu set the table up, but would not set the table in the location the resident requested and required. In addition when he stretched the felt back on the table he cut the excess off which will require the table to be totally refelted the next time it is moved. The drilling and set up of the table continued until 9:00 at night disturbing neighbors. To add salt to the wound Stu expected the full payment of $ 450 even though he was over two hours late for his appointment, didn’t arrive at the delivery location until four hours after the stated arrival time, and required the assistance of the new owner to set up the table. The following day the pool table had to be lifted and moved to the appropriate squared location in the room instead of the diamond angle Stu had left the table in.
I would not recommend nor ever use this Stu’s Pool Table & Movers again!

Stu showed up right on time with everything required to install my used 9′ Olhausen table. This table is most likely on its 3^rd or 4^th install/​owner, and had a few problems due to previous low budget Mickey Mouse installations. Stu rebuilt my used table to perfection with Simonis 860 cloth, AccuFast cushions, and new leather pockets. What was once a raggedy
Garage table is now a beautiful living room piece of furniture that looks/​plays like a professional pool table. I highly recommend Stu’s for pool table installations.

We hired Stu to move a table for us with about a weeks notice. He did great work, and left the table in better condition than it was before he disassembled it. I would definitely use him again.
