Honestly, I think this place is underrated. I was very impressed tonight! I’ve passed by this place many times while driving on Highway 50, and finally decided to check it out. I think I’ve been to a String’s once a long time ago, but I don’t think it was this location. The restaurant was clean and not crowded whatsoever, which was nice. We went tonight because we had a coupon for a BOGO lunch or dinner entrée. Conveniently happened to go on a Wednesday, which is when they do All You Can Eat Pasta for only $ 9. You pick the type of noodle and the sauce that you want, and you can add chicken, meatballs, etc. for an additional price. It also came with either soup or salad. Started off with garlic cheese bread as an appetizer, which was only $ 3. It wasn’t extravagant, but it was a nice addition to my pasta. Portion size was very generous — I ordered angel hair with creamy pesto and wasn’t able to finish it, so I didn’t even get to order a second bowl! Super happy I discovered this place. I’ll definitely be going back more often!

This place is disgusting Why?! FOODSUCKED! I ordered food to go and the pasta was all clumped together and hard. Chicken wasn’t cooked right. And in addition they didn’t even give me bread. They forgot to give me my utensils even when I mentioned it them. They even charge more?! Considering the fact that there’s another Italian strings 15 mins away which is way better! Don’t recommend this place, go to the one on Madison Avenue instead if you want to go to a Strings Italian Restaurant.

The staff is AMAZING! The food is really great, well prepared. The salad, with house dressing, is something I always look forward to. Also, the nights when a band is playing is really great — it’s kind of like an upscale«Cheers» for the Rosemont area.

Good luck on your family run restaurant. Hopefully, other customers will have a better experience.

My fiancé and I ate here not too long ago. Though we were seated promptly the food wasn’t that great. We both ended up getting sick after eating here, thought the choppino tasted off and even when I told the waiter that some of the clams were still closed he said just pry them open so that’s what I did and I so wish I hadn’t cause from my understanding they are bad if they don’t open when cooked ekk

Good local location for lunch or dinner. They offer a nice variety of pizza’s, pastas, beef, chicken, and seafood dishes. Their minestrone is nothing to get excited about — it is bland and mostly big chunks of veggies, no pasta or beans, so it isn’t really a minestrone soup in my opinion. The pizzas and calzones are good which is what I usually get. The staff and service is good and consistent.

Most of our food was cold, but still tasted fairly decent. My main reason for giving 3 stars is because of the service. Service was mediocre. There was an older lady, I believe she was the owner, who kept eyeing us making it feel uncomfortable for us. We didn’t feel welcomed at all.

I’ve been to this location a number of times now, they have a new menu, food was absolutely delicious, the pizza was super tasty, good selection of beers, great place to watch sporting events, super fast service, I think it’s under new ownership, because I’ve seen a huge improvement not only in the menu but it actually looks like a whole new restaurant !! Our servers name was I think Greg…:/ or maybe it was Eugene, he was super well informed on the menu and kept my beer glass cold /full. Would def come again, oh and they also have karaōke nites! 5 stars to this strings!

I like this place :). It’s family owned and the owner walks around and talks to his customers. The service is great! Not many places The first time I came here, I got the first one under the pasta group. I love that one! So many delicious ingredients made into an amazing meal. They also provide soup or salad with your pasta! Ask them what soup they have. They always have minestrone, but sometimes if not all have a second choice. The second time I came here(today) I got the second pasta dish under the pasta group. They have Italian sausage, shrimp, & sauce. While I did like it, I did not favor it as much as the first pasta dish listed. I feel like there was more flavor in the other dish I ordered. The portions are pretty generous as well. I wasn’t able to finish my plate.

I have never been more disappointed. The service was horrid and the food was disappointing. From the moment we walked in the door, our server, Katie, was rude. She immediately sat us next to the door, which we requested to move away from the door because it was so cold. She rolled her eyes and rudely told us to follow her. Never once was she polite until she handed us our credit card back, then she smiled. Our appetizer came out about 2 minutes before our dinners, and I saw the app sitting there for at least 5. Once the plates did come out, she basically dropped the plates on the table and walked away. We had to ask another passing waiter for our bread and refill on our drinks. Her rude attitude is going to make it hard for me to go back. I am extremely disappointed.

This is probably the worst food I’ve eaten in a while. I ordered the house salad and chicken Parmesan. The salad was wilted and tasted like it had been sitting in the house dressing for a good hour. The chicken Parmesan was decent but my chicken was slightly burnt and the noodles were gross. And don’t even think about eating the bread here. It’s all a joke. My stomach already hurts :(

I’ve been to Strings before and have been a fan but unfortunately this location lost me. I went with my mother and we order the stuffed mushrooms for the appetizer, I got the Portofino Cioppin which included a salad(good) and my mother got the shrimp scampi and a soup. She selected the seafood bisque but it came out with no seafood, just tomato sauce(per my mom). Needless to say she didn’t eat it and returned it back to the kitchen. The appetizer, stuffed mushrooms, was burnt at the bottom and also dry. For my entrée, the Portofino Cioppin indicated on the menu that it came with cod fillet, shrimp, mussels, and scallops, but I don’t remember tasting the fish and the other 3 items were sparse in between. The entrée also included garlic bread but I just received butter bread. My mother said her shrimp scampi was flavorless which is very surprising to me. Now I’m pretty sure you are wondering why we didn’t say anything or requested other items on the menu, well… I worry about my food if I have to return it and how the new dish will be delivered. I’m not saying this establishment would do such a thing but I would rather eat whatever is given then go send it back to a pissed off chef. I gave them two stars and not one due to the waitress. She was friendly and asked my mom if she wanted to change her soup for something else.

I seriously can’t wait to go back to sactown just for this place! Pasta is my #1 favorite food & wow, I have to say I think this might be the best pasta I’ve had to date. And that is saying a LOT. I ordered the pasta sienna & it was delicious. Tastes homemade & authentic. Not like any I’ve had before. There definitely had to be curry in that sauce. We ordered a pepperoni pizza for the niece & that was also delicious(I probably ate more of it than she did lol). My sis & I wanted some wine with our meal & the server recommended the house wine. It was perfect! I should’ve bought a bottle to go. Only one thing I would’ve done different was probably sit inside rather than out, there were these little beetle-like bugs around this area & one even crawled up my leg and bit me. But I’d get bit again for this meal any day haha

I have been going to strings since I was a kid. Their house salad and pasta sienna are comfort foods for me, so I always order the same thing, price wide they arent the cheapest, but their amazing service FAR surpasses that in value of what you get! I have never been in a restaurant with an entire staff of kind people, our server said thank you after we placed our orders, and I really liked hiw at the table next to us, he engaged with their kids, and was just sincere, real and nice! Besides being friendly, they were also exceptional with making sure our drinks were filled, and that we were content with anything we needed or wanted. Very very positive experience that will keep us coming back, and telling our friends to come here

Some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had. The owner is incredibly friendly and is very prompt with service. If you want to watch sports games this is one of the best places to go. Ask for the Margherita Pizza and Artichoke dip, some of the freshest and best you’ll ever have!

My family and I have come to Strings several times now and we love it! The staff is incredibly friendly and the food is great. We really enjoyed the thin crust pizza and the artichoke dip. The food was tastes, fresh and was served in a timely manner! Great place for lunch or dinner and also large parties. Would highly recommend!
