The food was great! We got tons of compliments and they offer yummy season veggie choices. I’m giving them a 4⁄5 because they weren’t the easiest to deal with on the day of. They set up our buffet with all the food (hors d’ouevres and main meal) and our guests were confused about what they were allowed to eat during cocktail hour. Instead of them just dealing with it I was bothered with questions during pictures after the ceremony. Honestly, it probably wouldn’t have been a big deal if I was at a regular venue, but since the wedding was at my house there were a lot of questions.

I have been using this caterer for years and they always go above and beyond my expectations in affordability and professionalism. I highly recommend them for any and every event no matter how big or small, and I mean anything from a little kids birthday party to a formal wedding. Jeff and Mark are always attentive and informative to everyones needs, and even do things I forgot to do or just didn’t even think about!!!

The day of my wedding, my fiancé’ went to pick up our food. When he arrived, with invoice in hand, the staff person had no record of our order! This was 2 hours before our wedding. Not only that, the staff stated she did not know how to make what we had ordered. The staff attempted to call the owner, Jeffrey but only got his voice mail. The staff told my fiancé’ that we were out of luck! Are you kidding me? I had an invoice and a confirmed email from Jeffrey stating everything was a go. I would NOT use this company. Although we had a small, intimate wedding, we were left to find food 2 hours before the event. Thanks Guys

Jeff and Mark are wonderful. They «worked it» at my good friend’s wedding. Great staff, service and the most accommodating caterers I’ve ever worked with.
The venue had a non-​working kitchen, no tables/​chairs, no catering-​wares, and two separate rooms to accommodate one big wedding party. Needless to say, it was a nightmare since every single little thing had to be brought in. BUT thanks to the Refer-​A-​Chef. They made everything beautiful and elegant.
A full self-​served happy hour with great variety of appetizers. Fully bartended by their staff. And an awesome dinner buffet. Meat, Salad, Seafood, Pastas, Bam Bam Bam…
The entire staff was most helpful above and beyond the call of duty. And an extra special thanks for keeping the bar stocked. There were many things that you didn’t have to. But you did. Thanks Refer-​A-​Chef.
Prices are most reasonable even if you hire them for a San Francisco event.
