THERE ARE NO STARS TO THE NEGATIVEVTO RATE THIS HORRIBLE LICATION! DO NOT EAT HERE! I was already having issues with the Popeyes on Stockton Boulevard, Sacramento. But on Sunday 6÷12÷16, my husband and I decided to give them a shot. My husband found a LIVE, LIVING MOVING insect (bug) in his Red Beans and Rice!!! I almost died!
Then, to make matters worse they didn’t want to give us a refund AND told us to come back on Monday to be refunded. I still cannot believe there was a living moving insect in our food! Tell all your friends

Terrible service, waited 20 minutes for a meal, pieces of chicken were not nuggets or even strips but torn undercooked hardly edible pieces of chicken.

I’m giving it 3 stars because I usually have good service. But its may 13. 5:45pm and the girl at the drive thru is kinda rude.
2 stars for the owner for not participating in the national specials… So no bargains or deals here

Worst customer service ever. This African American man working at the drive thru gave attitude simply when I asked what was in the Tuesday Special. He not only said «Oh my god» under his breath as I asked him what was in the Tuesday Special, but also refused to give me a response as to what was in it. Therefore, I just left and didn’t get anything. I will not be coming here ever again and will also tell others about the bad customer service that was provided and also reported him to the Corporation.

I like Popeyes but the prices are higher here than the one near del paso Blvd. I’m talking almost nearly 1 – 2 dollars more for a meal. Stars are for the increased price only at this location.

The service is horrible, only chicken is good after I have to go back in and tell them I got TENDERS NOT CHICKEN BREAST. Happens every time.

I have been very disappointed in Popeyes. I have always ordered the chicken tenders meal. In the past I would get three nice sized tenders. The last two visits I received 3 small pieces of chicken. It was like they sliced a breast into very thin strips, and called them tenders. I think that may be false advertising. So sad, it use to be a great meal. Will not return.

The food is great but their lack of service is horrible!!! Countless times have they forgotten items from my order. Maybe it is my fault for not completely checking my order before driving off but that is so frustrating!!! I get that this is a drive-​thru and they are probably trying to be quick and efficient, but if you’re leaving out items from my order you’re defeating the purpose. And of course there’s no apology.

This is my fourth or fifth time coming to this location. I have always gotten my food super quick and it has always been hot and delicious. The chicken is super greasy but that is what I like. It has a nice crisp to it. The corn on the cob isn’t the greatest but pretty decent considering it is served at a fast food place. The biscuits are very moist and buttery and awesome. I actually enjoy the New Orleans Jazz playing while you eat. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Pretty dirty… they should clean with CLEAN TOWELS, not nasty filthy looking rags that are sitting in buckets with water. so gross. The rag was once white and was grey/​black full of dirt still using it… hello this is a food environment… not mechanic shop .why are the towels so gross? I did not eat here because I saw how dirty and unsanitary those rags were that the girl was cleaning with! gross…

I went to the Popeyes website. They have a coupon specific to this location. I showed it to the cashier on my phone, she said they don’t take it since it expired. I showed her the date, then she brings up another person. He then says they take it, BUT you have to have an actual print out! No where on the website does it state it needs to be printed out. I’m pretty upset at the false advertising here. Given technology now a days, I’m sure showing the coupon on a smart phone straight from the Popeyes website specific to this location should work.

I was satisfied with their service and the chicken, but then I found a long blond strand of hair in between my box :(

Popeye is one of my favorite chicken spot. We usually come here whenever we are over on this side of town. I’m a lil slow sometimes, just realized they have one much closer on Mack rd now. This one is cool, clean, but you have to watch out for the children over here. One day we were here a kid about 5 or 6 years old asked my husband for some money and then told him before he could go in his pocket that he didn’t want any chance. He wanted dollar bills.
We were weak and then looked up to seen another one of the kids asking a older white couple that was sitting and eating for money and he was younger and he too stated he didn’t want any chance.
The sad part about that is the older kids were outside and they were sending the younger children inside to ask people for money. I will say this, they have it bad over here with the panhandlers. They be at the gas station and outside Foodco as well. Outside of the madness the food is always on hit. Love Popeyes side dishes. Beans and rice, the dirty rice. The chicken is oh so so crunchy.
The staff is cool, professional and for sure I can say they are always busy, but no matter how busy they get you never wait long for your food. Even in the drive thru. The food is always meet my expectations and my personal opinion is that Popeyes chicken taste the same all the time to me. Just an excellent recipe! (My opinion)

Ordered an apple pie in the drive through and they told me and my friend o wait in the parking lot for 1min and they’ll have it ready. We waited at least 10mins for them and they had it just sitting there. They offered us a free drink but we already had drinks. Second time they forgot an order.

LOVE THAT CHICKEN AT POPEYES! FORREAL! I do not go anywhere else when I have a craving for some fried chicken, so definitely give this place a try if you’re craving some great ol’ comfort food.
The establishment isn’t the greatest in terms of looks and cleanliness. Tables are always sticky, floors look like they’re never mopped, and their condiment/​drink area is always flooded with spilled drinks/​ketchup. Servers are friendly, but really are just there to take your order.
Chicken is superb. You can choose between a spicy or non spicy cajun blend and all their sides are to die for. Best mac and cheese, and of course their mashed potatoes and gravy are heaven! I don’t know what is in their gravy, but it’s like crack. I always order extra gravy on the side because it’s that good! Their cajun fries are bomb, and you can always use a nice buttery corn on the cob. Biscuits are always soft and fluffy, on point, and absolutely delicious.

My kids love chicken and love Popeyes. The food is good, service is not great and the place is not kept up. Tables are dirty and cleaned with dirty rags, and it’s just not well kept. No music, no atmosphere. Too bad.

Came in with a friend on a Tuesday evening around 9pm. First at the cashier, but there were about 4 other people ahead of me in terms of order.
Food:
Like any other Popeye’s.
Service:
Cashier was friendly and had a good attitude. Person distributing the order was also friendly and had a good attitude.
Place:
The place itself was small. At most about 10 tables that can occupy at least 4 people per table. Looked clean and well kept overall. Cannot comment on the bathroom since I did not use it.
Would come back but wish there was a closer one. Live in one of the most souther parts of Elk Grove.

Ordered the 4 piece meal and a shrimp combo that they have going right now the 4 piece meal was a pretty good service size. and looked like it could actually satisfy someone that was looking to be satisfied for a few hours.
the shrimp combo was just saaaaaaaaad there was maybe 10 shrimp, IF THAT! and they just looked pathetic! tinniest things you’ve ever seen compared to what the picture showed (and yes, i know that’s how most places are, but SERIOUSLY at least try)
The only upside was the service, the people that where working where pretty pleasant, but that’s really the only saving grace of this place…

And THIS is why I haven’t been to Popeyes in 5 years. Seriously, it was one of the biggest jips ever. After shopping at FoodsCo, my boyfriend suddenly had an urge for some Louisiana styled chicken from seeing their newly promoted ghost pepper wings; talk about being a sucker for ads. So we ordered a popcorn shrimp meal and ghost pepper wings. Total was about $ 12… For the tiniest shrimps I’ve ever had in my life that contained so much batter you could’ve told me there’s actually no shrimp in there and I would believe it. The ghost pepper wings were almost equally as terrible. I guess what’s marginally cool about them is they look regular on the outside but are actually spicy (hence how the wings got its name). Two things: 1, never coming back again, and 2,
