It’s an all-you-can-stuff meats of yumminess and sides central. They are extremely similar to their Elk Grove location. It’s a bit odd to get into their area driving wise, but it’s worth the trip to try it out. I had to be rolled out. We’ll be back after I do my required workout and my cholesterol returns back to normal. Gluttony lovers must try this place!!!

My friend and I came at 12:10 on a Tuesday, wasn’t extremely busy but wasn’t empty. We both ordered the lunch box because we figured it would be pretty quick. NOPE it took about 40 minutes for the food to come out. We literally asked for our bill and 2 to go container ls right when he set the food down. Everything on the plate were pre prepreped. The rice, noodle, salad… Come on! Only thing you had to cook was the meat! We were pretty upset.

I love this place. Currently salivating just at the reminiscent flavors of my experience. My visit started out at the bar since we had to wait about 10 mintues, for a table, this just means I get to drink more and drinking makes me happy. I ordered the sangria, and in a unique fashion my sangria was concocted out of cabernet, strawberry purée(the one in the big plastic bottles) and another type of juice. It was delicious! It reminded me of a hip midtown restaraunt sangria. Makes me want to go back and study how they made it so I can make it at home. Now onto the important part, the bbq! We ordered the chicked, beef bulgogi, short ribs and it was accompanied by the korean side dishes. I love that this place gives big soy like wrap noodles that you can put your meat in and make like a korean taco. All the meats were seasoned and delicious! It is all you can eat, so keep going until your belly is full! The only negative to this place is that you do get a to-go smell of korean bbq so when your hunger returns, it makes you crave oz’s again! Service was wonderful and attentive.

I honestly keep forgetting to check in here because I probs could be duchess at Oz LOL. Whenever I crave for KBBQ when I was in Davis, I always always always go to Oz. For $ 25AYCE, I make sure my stomach is ready. Don’t dress up too nice and wear something that you can easily wash or you don’t really care about because your clothes will have that meat smell! During lunch, there isn’t much of a rush but Thursday-Sunday for dinner, expect a wait for at least an hour. But hey, it makes you even hungrier for that AYCE. The service has always been top notch because they are so attentive! Jackson was quick on his feet and made sure that my table was satisfied. The side dishes are bomb. I love love love Kim chi and I always have to get it constantly refilled. Broccoli with the creamy sauce is also a constant refilled. Sometimes they have the boiled egg in soy sauce like thing. Top 3 side dishes I must have on my table. Remember to ask for the soy bean paste, and the sesame oil with salt to dip your meat in! That’s what finishes the game. This location includes rice which is nice but I came here to be a carnivore. Appetizers I usually order the wings and potstickers. Meat, you must order the galbi, rancho galbi, sesame beef, garlic pork belly and bulgogi. I love their galbi, they marinate it so well. Whenever I’m in the area, I’ll most definitely come back for you.

Fun place to go with a large group. Just make sure you make reservations. The place was so crowded. No place to sit and wait but I guess this means people love it here. I enjoyed the food. Waitress was very accommodating. Fun experience having to grill your own food.

I ate here once. The experience was okay. Customer service is excellent though. The food wasn’t bad at all, but also not the greatest to me. Give it a try maybe you will get a different experience than I had.

ALRIGHT, this review is happening! I have been here three times, and each time it has been consistently fabulous and fulfilling. I’ve also been to other AYCEKBBQ places, and this place is my favorite in NorCal! The menu selection can be overwhelming, but if you already know what you want, go for it! Usually my friends and I order the beef, cause you can get chicken like whenever and sometimes the pork is a little iffy if not cooked right. Each time that I have come here, the service has always been goooooood. The third time I came here was two Saturdays ago. What better way to start 2016 than consuming lots of protein! It was my friend’s first time, so that was pretty exciting. She ordered tea(which, btw, you get your own little cute tea kettle and unlimited refills! how rad is that), and we just got into it. We ordered the shrimp, the potstickers, the pork belly, the short ribs, the sesame beef, chili pork, basically all the red meat LOL! Oh, and a bowl of mushrooms. What was different this time than the other two times was that our server asked us if we wanted rice– they figured out that a lot of people don’t eat the rice. The secret to eating lots of meat is not to eat the rice. CARBS will get you so full so fast that you’ll leave after the first round. My friend and I ate four rounds of meat, two plates of pot stickers and some veggies. What was even MORE impressive is that my friend finished ALL of the side dishes. I know ya’ll are jealous that our stomachs are basically black-holes. We didn’t change grills– instead we cleaned it with the onion, which was pretty charred by the end of our eating experience. To top it off, our server Tiffany was just amazing! She always checked up on us and if we got our orders. Tiffany, if you’re reading this, thank you for making our first big meal of 2016 amazing! My friend enjoyed grilling our food. Some people don’t like it cause it’s «work» and it takes«effort,» but honestly it’s about the overall experience with your friends and family! It’s a social activity, and plus, you get to cook your meat how YOU like it. Don’t be complainin’ that it’s work to grill your own food– harvesting rice paddies is work. I’ve gotta say, that this place gets pretty crackin’ during lunch AND dinner. Luckily we went at noon– there was NO line at all, and we immediately went to a table. Around 5pm or 6pm(on any day), be prepared to wait for 45 mins+, even if it is just two people. I would heavily advise coming here for lunch and just take the whole afternoon to digest all the delicious(:

Best AYCEKBBQ you can get closest to Davis, therefore only place we hit up when my friends and I are craving for some delicious meat. I personally prefer the Elk Grove location, due to the set up there. There’s much more space, and it just looks more open and modern in comparison to this location. This location is pretty decent. There’s both indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor area is nice in that they’ve tented it off, so even if you’re out there on a cold night, it’s not FREEZING. If you happen to come during peak hours and there’s a wait, they have a small little bar area where you can sit down and order drinks while you wait. Meat choices are a few in comparison to Gen BBQ and a few other places in San Jose. But beggers can’t be choosers. Their meats are well marinated and absolutely delicious. My favorite meat dishes will have to be the galbi and bulgolgi! I rarely ever get chicken because it takes too long to cook! I love the fact that they have rice paper here, because that is what I survive on when I go to AYCEBBQ. Each meal comes with a couple of side dishes, that you can get more of, free of charge! There’s things like kimchi, broccoli, and japchae, amongst other side dishes. My absolute favorite is the broccoli. I have no idea what kind of sauce they put on it, but that stuff is like crack! I always get at least 5 or 6 refills on the broccoli… and that’s saying a lot considering the fact that I hate vegetables. Haha. They also have appetizers that you can choose from as a part of your AYCE meal such as: gyoza, chicken wings, and fries. I can’t recall if there’s anything else on that list. But the fries are decently good. They’re fried to a crisp, but not too crispy perfection. They also do fundraisers! So if you’re a school organization that’s trying to make some moolah, hit them up! It’s also a great place for big parties, so have no fear, you and your club of 50 people can roll deep and they’ll be able to seat you.

Had a bad experience to begin the night, but it turn out ok. 4 stars because I am a regular here and know this isn’t the norm. Best AYCE korean bbq in Sac. The food is excellent and I will continue coming here. The only thing I hate is the 4 portions per grill rule. Two people and 1 grill? Four portions. Twelve people and 2 grills? Eight portions. Doesn’t make sense from a customer standpoint, but I see why management would do this. Wish they had and option to increase the portions when they cram 5 people to one grill. Anyways I will never come here after 6PM again. Too busy. We were seated at 6:03 and didn’t get our water until 6:15. I don’t remember when the food came out, but by 6:50 everything was in our bellies except the vegetables. Our server had so many tables it feels like she forget it! We started grilling the vegetables on low so the grill wouldn’t burn! I think after our server sensed our displeasure she did a great job making it up to us despite it being super busy for a Monday. I think we’ve been there 30 – 40 times in the last 4 years and nights these don’t happen very often.

Food: very average. At other better kbbqs, I stuff my face until I am uncomfortably hurting but here, I didn’t want to eat past being satisfied. Service: our waitress was great, fast service and replaced our grill without us asking. Meat details: Rancho Galbi/Galbi: the best meat you can get here, but not as good as other places. It just wasn’t as tender and the marinade was good but not excellent. Sesame beef: thick cut of beef, too chewy for my taste Spicy pork: i don’t eat spicy pork but my bf said it was on par with other places. Bulgogi: average, maybe a little worse than other places side dishes: the bean sprouts are good and japchae were good. They were out of saeng Galbi when we went on a Thursday at noon. And the deep fryer wasn’t working so we couldn’t order any appetizers. That sucked. Took 4 items off the menu

I was here with a friend recently and we got the all you can eat option. I was not overly excited by the fact that I would have to cook my own meat and veggies(seems like work), but overall it was fine. Somehow it took forever for stuff to cook on the grill though. I wonder if ours was just not turned hot enough. All I know is food cooks a lot faster at my house on the stove or on my outdoor BBQ. Regardless, we had a good time and the food was decent. My favorite item here was the potstickers which are an appetizer option. Some of the other side dishes were also good and I liked the shrimp and mussels that I chose for cooking on the grill for myself. The entire dining experience took a long time in large part due to the cooking aspect. Also, my friend and I were not in a rush. However, it was a relaxing dining experience overall. I would consider coming back here.

I’ve only been to a couple restaurants in sac so take my review with a grain of salt. We got there around 2 and still had to wait to get seated, that must be a good thing! But we were starving after skydiving and not eating all day. We got seated and could only order 4 things. I asked about the appetizers and the waiter was nice enough to put in all the appetizers in with our order without it being part of the 4! The appetizers were just okay though, a little under par for me. The french fries were not crispy or flavorful. The wings were a bit too sweet and not crispy, but that’s just preference. I felt like there wasn’t a specific kind of food I was really craving here, they were all mediocre. And there was no brisket!

Still awesome! Still consistently good Korean bbq! If you are able and have a DD, check out the soju! Yum!!! My only wish is for yogurt soju! Even yummier! The brand they carry and serve is so smooth and lacking the burn expected from something as strong as this is.(Soju Fresh) I stick to my usual whenever I come here; bulgogi, spicy pork, sweet pork, pot stickers, as well as the shrimp. The meat is fresh and tasty and in abundance. If your grill becomes burdened with charred meat or juice the servers have no problem changing it out, just ask! My kids love cooking on this grill top too! The family favorite of the banchan is the japchae! The rice paper is really good too, but they don’t always carry that one. You can always ask for more mini dishes of whichever banchan you fell in love with! The wait can go from not too terrible to terrible and then as long as a 2 hour wait depending on the day! There is a bar you can sit at, sip your awesome soju while watching the pretty Korean girls dance and sing on the TV. K-Pop girls for those who don’t know! Bring a charged up phone to play games on or check your email or FB! Maybe finish a Unilocal review or two! Your square buzzer goes off and then it’s off to a table you go! I get the all you can eat bbq, which is why most people come. I still have yet to check out the actual dishes. FYI, the potstickers are gyoza and not mandu. This place is awesome for Sac area. If you want something better, go to So Cal or Bay Area!

Frankly, I do not know how they got the name«Oz» and in fact I do think it’s an awesome name, but I will admit that I felt like being in there was similar to being a spectator on the set of Wizard of Oz. If it’s your first time eating Korean bbq– good luck. Check Unilocal first and gather an outline(yeah, an outline). My boo and I Unilocaled and roosted around the greater Sacramento area for the first half of thanksgiving day… Looking for the opposite of turkey– some burgers and brews, or even some Mexican greatness… Ironically enough, we ended up at Oz’s Korean bbq, after about 2 hours of cruising around and calling 20+ or so bars/pubs/restaurants. Nothing was open and we ended up here. This part was especially interesting during my visit today… I had to use the ladies room before we sat down and as I was placing the seat cover on the toilet seat in the far right stall– I noticed there were 3 holes drilled in the wall. 2 small ones and 1 larger one. Inside the holes was crumpled toilet paper. THEKICKER– take out the toilet paper stuffed inside the holes and you can see directly into the men’s restroom. I have nothing more to elaborate on that. Service: Overall– pretty stellar. Our servers were pretty attentive but lacked that overall personal touch. Have you ever ordered Korean bbq? Maybe you have? Maybe you haven’t… Well, it’s definitely different from your typical experience. The novice could use some direction and we were obviously newbies(at least I was). (I also will admit that it was for sure our bad for not doing our research beforehand). It seemed as though only tables over 6 persons were sat at a vented table. Which is understandable, but damn, we walked out smelling like beef for honestly probably the remainder of the day(I still smell as I’m writing this 6 hours later). Dark side of the Oz maybe? At least it smells bombie. We got charged an extra $ 7 bones for eating on a holiday, which we noticed upon receiving our check. It was failed to be noted anywhere on the menu and even from our server which was pretty weird. Unilocalers– am I oblivious or is that a normal deal? My boo and I might go back– out of pure curiosity and hope… Maybe just sit at the bar and just order Jamesons and Bipnbop. We want to love this place but we also want to hate it. Shine some Clarity on us Oz!

Update: 11−15−15 The service is now flawless. Talk about immediately getting your order(meats/appetizers). The place was busy but Minh was all over us like we were the only important table. 5 star experience. This is the best Korean BBQ all you can eat in Sacramento, I will be back.

All you can eat Korean BBQ? Yes please. But you have to cook it yourself. Wait whuh? Came out here on a Friday night with my boss and coworkers(rollin 8 deep). The wait at the time was about 30 – 40 minutes which wasn’t bad. FYI they usually don’t accept reservations on Friday nights/weekends since its usually the busiest – so first come first serve! The place was packed, and usually when a place is crowded you know the food is on point! It wasn’t my first time here so I knew what was up(Last OZ turn up was about 4 yrs ago lol). Basically they take down drink orders, bring out the side dishes and you choose what meats you want and YOU… you grill it up. Das right you da chef. the cook… the griller and you have a 2 hour limit. We were seated at a table with one grill which kinda sucked(grill is the size of a laptop).but we made it work. Our game plan was to have 2 cooks(the ones seated in front of the grill obviously), have 2 tongs to grab the raw meat and another 2 to handle the cooked meat. Once one set was done we would put it on a clean plate and pass it around… then throw the next set of meat on the grill and repeat. Midway through, the grill will look black crusty and grimy so they’ll switch it out and drop in a new one. My faves from the bbq were rancho galbi, sesame beef and bulgogi. So taste, much flavor. *insert delicious hand gesture emoji here. Fave side dish and appetizers had to be the broccoli with ranch, pot stickers and the sweet chili wings. I could eat those all day! For dessert we ordered the ice pearl which was just enough for the 8 of us. Ice pearl is korean shaved ice aka bing soo, with fresh fruit, red bean, mochi and condensed milk. Perfect after eating a hefty meal lol. I wanted to slip into a food coma after I was done. It was all gouda. Overall, the service was topnotch. Our waiter was attentive and checked up on us often. Orders came out quickly and food was delishness. I suggest bringing febreeze or body mist to spray because you’ll be smelling like food when you leave. Definitely check this place out and get the most out of those 2 hours! .

yikes! had a reservations this past Friday which I had made earlier last week. It was for a friends bachelor dinner party of ten and unfortunately many of our people flaked at the last minute.(this was not Oz’s problem but mine rather). I attempted to negotiate with the hostess by informing her that ½ of my party wasn’t going to show and if we can just get half the table. She said it was not possible. That it wouldn’t be fair to other people who have been waiting for a table already. I replied by stating it makes sense to give me half the table and it would open up another table for people who did not have a reservation. She supposedly spoke to her manager and came back with the same rigidity. «It is not fair to other people.» A man of my intelligence could not make sense of their decision. We left the restaurant disappointed by their decision. I have been here a handful of times and have been pleased with the quality of food. unfortunately the service has never been a 5 star rating. This lack of consideration for the circumstance leads me to believe that a place like this believes their entitled to treat costumers this way because people will come here anyways. News flash, this is not the only Korean BBQ in a 20 mile radius. I am aware that my fellow Unilocalers are crazy about this place but it shouldn’t take a Unilocal review to get a restaurant to be flexible with its customers. What I would have done differently: 1) inform the customer at time of reservation of all contingencies to reservation such as; a) all of your party must be here at time of reservation or you will lose you reservation b) there is a 15 minutes grace period and c) there are no exceptions to the rules These details would have made my evening disappointing towards my party people and not the established business. and once again, unfortunately I was not informed of any of the three things I specified above. Peace out! Fig-natius

Crowd on a Monday Night and a 30−45min wait with football on the screens. Walked in and you approach a small area with a bar and waiting room/seating area with round tables and chairs. The dining room tables with grills ready to be fired up for some serious cooking. We went for the«All You Can Eat» deal and it was ok. Drinks then banchans(small sides), order potstickers and chili wings yummy. The best part was Rancho Galbi, bulgogi, chicken and prawns. Waitress kept on checking on us to refill our drinks and bring more orders. Round 5? Yep 4of us tackled it. Not too much of a rice eater so we ordered the lettuce to roll up our BBQ like lettuce wraps. I’ve dined in Korea at great BBQ restaurants and this was okay I would go back again.

1hr wait for table of 5! It was well worth it! Once we got seated food came out quick. Server was always refilling our meats and sides. I was so full, I can’t even move!
