This company sent me «FINAL NOTICE» for a bill for $ 35 with a threat to send me to collections if not paid in 20 days. This was for services for which my hospital group had billed me 2 days before, which was my first notification of any payment due. It was also the FIRST AND ONLY NOTICE that Outpatient Pathology Associates (OPA) had sent me. I realize that the blame lies somewhat with my hospital group (Sutter) and/​or insurance company (Aetna) for not paying this business for its services, but ultimately, OPA is threatening to ruin my outstanding credit through their mistakes in billing. THis is shameful, irresponsible, unprofessional and unacceptable.
