I would strongly recommend not hiring these guys for an appraisal. They do not know what they’re doing. They lack knowledge of real estate and the current market. I recently had them do an appraisal on one of my houses which is currently worth about 330 000 — 340 000 roughly. That’s based on the market around the house. A similar house sold for 300 000 back in February at $ 112 per square foot. In May a house close by less than a mile away sold for $ 116 a square foot and 2 months ago a house literally 2 blocks away sold at 122 dollars per square foot. The prices have gone up in the past two months by 3−5% on average in Sacramento area. This guy comes and appraisers my house at 112 dollars per square foot. My house is the newest House out of all four of these and it has the biggest lot along with all modern amenities. Please do not waste your time on these guys. They work for the lenders.
