Had a link or a hot dog and it was tasted like there was too much water in it. This told me that he was keeping it too long in the hot water. Trying to save on costs and overhead at the expense of your customers is not cool. I’d find another job or perhaps you’ve failed in other jobs so you had pick selling hot dogs that any one with a mind can do.

«WHEN A PLACEISGREAT, I HATEITWHENTHEY’RECLOSEDFOR ‘THESEASON’!»(WTF?!?) — BUTTHATDOESN’T DIMINISHTHEEXPERIENCE — ITJUSTINCREASESTHEANTICIPATIONFORNEXTTIME!“ THESIT-REP Yeah, I know it’s a HOTDOG stand, so don’t get all over me about THAT! But when you are on the go for LUNCH and are walking between buildings — between meetings in those buildings — dam cool that you can grab a Hot Dog to fill the hole in your stomach without so much as missing a «stride»(well, okay, maybe a few…) while picking up a quick bite to eat. I’ve had some great«dining-on-the-run» experiences with CHUNK’S these last couple of years, so I can hardly wait until the LINKS come out again! THEMENU CHUNK’S has got a great selection of hot dogs available, MOST for under $ 4. But I say that if you are going to stop for a hog dog, you dam well might as well go for one of Chunk’s HOTLINKS specialties! He’s got a hot link that is aptly named for our geography — «The Central Valley Dog» which includes Jalapenos and Grilled Onions along with the hot link. Not too shabby for $ 4.50. I absolutely LOVE ‘THECHUNKDOG”! At $ 6, this is an amazing combination of a: * CAJUNHOTLINK * PASTRAMI * GRILLEDONIONS * SAUERKRAUT * JALAPENOS and * PEPPERJACKCHEESE Yummy in my Tummy! But as you can imagine, this might not be the best combination if you are going to be stuck in a meeting from 1−4pm right AFTER you’ve eaten the LINK special! I am reviewing the LINK — I am NOT going to be held responsible for your bodily functions AFTERMATH! ;^D THELOWDOWN CHUNK’S is an AWESOMELINKEXPERIENCE for when you are ONTHERUN! [P.S. I love the sometimes INANE questions that Unilocal has you answer in reference to some vendors that have NOBEARING on that vendor! So when it asks me the question, «Wheelchair Accessible?» — It’s a sidewalk vendor for chrissakes! So I’m gonna say«NO» to dick with you. And when it asks me the question, «Takes Reservations?» I’m gonna say YES on the same principle of absurdity…

Temporarily closed for the season. I called the number and Ryan indicated that they will probably be opening back up next spring(2011). Only rating this so that I can post the info. Will re-rate once I get a chance to try their food.

This hot dog stand is by the far the best one I’ve been to in a long time. Before Chunks was around, I went to the lady down the street on 9th and Capitol and her stuff was pretty good. However, when I tried Chunks Hot Links, I was super impressed and loved the taste. It wasn’t long before the guy at Chunks was offering BBQ sauce with his Hot Links(Sweet Baby Rays no less) and I was sold. I’ve also tried a couple of his other specialties and let me tell you, this guy takes the cake when it comes to good food at a small cost to your pocket book. Times are hard and people don’t want to have to pay 10 — 15 bucks for their food now. Chunks offers you hot dogs, hot links, pastrami sandwiches, all with different combinations of additives along with chips and a soda for less then your normal restaurant bill will be. Don’t miss out on this guy cause not only does he serve great food, he has some of the best customer service I’ve seen in a long time. He is funny, recalls all of his regular customer’s orders, and even gives suggestions on what else at his cart would taste good if you like what you are eating. All in all, this one is not to be missed out on!
