A chinese buffet with lots of selection. Not the best, but not bad if your in the area and have a craving.

Ate dinner at this location two days ago with my family, waittress was respectful and nice. The buffet food was excellent, variety to choose from and ice cream for dessert topped it off nicely. One of the best won ton soups I’ve had in any buffet besides the hair I found in it, make sure to look close at your food! But overall a quiet and relaxing restaurant to enjoy dinner with anyone or yourself. Go check it out and enjoy!

Tried this place during the Christmas holiday. Wife and I got to enjoy this with her family and it was a bit of a surprise. The cost seemed a little high for dinner but kind of expected that with a buffet. The offerings at first seemed limited but the Baked Salmon, General Tso, Spicy Chicken with jalepenos, and coconut shrimp were my go to. Also their ice cream cones are better than Thunder Valley, though it may be cause TV serves sugar-free soft serve. Overall 4 stars for China Buffet.

I just came from this place an hour ago. It’s perfectly fine. I was here two weeks ago, and it’s why I came back again. It’s really close to where I live. The servers are extremely attentive and kind. If you want or ask for something, the female servers will give it to you. I had one female server today and a different female server two weeks ago. I gave them both a good tip. They definitely deserve it. Spread the love, I call it. Regarding the food. It’s fine. Your typical buffet, just like Golden Corral or Hometown. Nothing different other than that they serve mostly Chinese food and sea food. I really like the soup and sea food. That’s what I mainly go for. On both visits, I only lasted about 1 hour compared to the other people. Both times, it was about ¾ filled during the 5:00 — 6:00 ish-hour rush. This place has been opened for more than 15 years, at least of what I know. I have been going here off and on since I was about 20 years old, and now I’m 37 years old. The only way I would stop going to this place, or any buffet, is if the owner and workers don’t care about their job. This would show in producing reckless and outright nasty food with a bad attitude, which I have never seen before in all the years I’ve been here with friends and family. I certainly don’t expect a 5 star cooking at any buffet. However, I can’t say enough about the workers. They always talk to you and are so sincerely kind. That helps a lot, as it does with any place or business.

Open for dinner all day on Christmas Day. Wide variety including hibachi grill bar, king crab legs(best of the whole buffet), salad, fresh fruit, cream puffs, chocolate/vanilla/swirl soft serve, mussels, Chinese dim sum(I would skip this), pizza and garlic bread, chocolate and tapioca pudding, sushi — mostly variations using imitation crab, cookies, beef and broccoli, orange kitchen, a few types of soups(hot and sour, for example). Quality consisted mostly fried or salty, average grade food. Pretty much at expected for a Chinese buffet. Service was also expected for a Chinese buffet. We stopped by on the way home from Tahoe, and nothing else was open that suited our needs– but it definitely filled our stomachs at a cheap price($ 14 per person)!

The other time I’ve been here… Awesome! You’ve improved a lot! I’ve tried this other thing(I’m pretty sure it was new) it was a sushi roll with cucumber and cream cheese… Had the pizza again and it wasn’t zombie pizza!!! It was cheesy, and fresh from the oven:) The cucumber cream cheese sushi roll was so good I even snuck some home!!!

I’ve been to a lot of Chinese buffets in a lot of towns, and this one is pretty good. I’ve only been on a Saturday or Sunday afternoons. So there was a lot of options to choose from, and the food was piping hot. My only gripe is that they’re a buck or two overpriced. I’m not used to paying $ 15 on Sat. and Sun. for a Chinese buffet.

My mom and I would always come to this place. Easily 1 – 2 a week for years! Till one day we went and saw that there were two cockroaches on the bottom of the buffet bar. We told the waiter to call his manager over, we told him what we saw and showed him the picture we took. He didn’t care. He told us he would take half off our check! I refuse to pay but my mom didn’t want to argue so she paid the check. Never again will I go to this place! They’re a joke! I can’t believe they’re still in business!

The food was good, we went for the lunch buffet $ 8.99 and our 2 yr old son was free. They had a huge variety of food everything that was out was fresh hot and crispy if it was fried. The most delicious thing I ate there was the mongolian bbq you make your own plate with all the veggies shrimp or meat u want then the guy grills it sizzling hot and adds the house sauce on it if u want that was so good. My husband loved the sushi rolls and honey chicken it was battered chicken in a honey glaze sauce it was hot and fresh! Over all we were happy with the service and food. We will be back but next time after we hit the gym

The food was pretty good not amazing but the variety makes it worth the trip. Overall I enjoyed my experience here and I will return if I’m in the area. Service was decent there really wasn’t anything to complain about.

Horrible food. Horrible service. Came in at 8:00. Buffet hours say close at 10:00. They stopped cooking new dishes before we even got in. I asked if they were going to make new dishes. They wanted me to tell them which one. I said all the empty dishes please. They thought I was joking I guess because they didn’t make any. I felt like I was there to eat leftovers only. Food was cold and nasty!

A pretty average Chinese buffet, they are located in midtown Sacramento at the edge of downtown separated by the Highway. You can park in the front or back(both are very small lots — approximately 10 cars each lot?) They are affordable and dinner costs about $ 14.00 per person. They usually are not busy and often will fill in half the seats or less unless they have a group that is celebrating someone’s birthday. They are generally clean: no clutter, no dishware lying around, no messy tables, clean floors, clean seats, but the men’s restroom can be dirty. The service is quick and fast. The greeter will immediately seat you and ask what you would like to drink and leave you alone. The waiters will grab your dirty plates within a minute of you being done and will ask you for refills as soon as they spot your half empty cups. Overall, the service is adequate enough for the setting and the price. More importantly, they do not demand tips, but I am sure tips are welcome especially if you enjoy superb service. Surprisingly, I know because another *ahem* buffet in town near Stockton Blvd. will force tips out of you. The food can be a hit or miss. Sometimes, you’ll walk into fresh while other times you may encounter the occasional food that may have been out there for too long. It can be inconsistent, but they generally refill the trays as soon as they are at about 25% level. It isn’t top quality, but nor is it grease. The food is somewhere in between and I consider that to be decent considering how much you pay anyway. I give it 3 stars for average. You want a dine in restaurant that will allow you to eat all you want without the hassle of waiting in line because it is not busy and pay an average price? This is it for you. Group, couple, or single, this restaurant fits all crowds.

Went here for the first time. The food was really good! Everything was hot and fresh. Pretty good for buffet food. They had so many seafood selections. Crab, shrimp, clams, muscles… EVERYTHING was super good. Can’t wait to go back.

I noticed the sushi chefs cutting open previously frozen fish packs and slicing them for the sushi… red flag

Making my way around Sac, checking how my go to places back in the day are doing, coming back to the china buffet on Broadway didnt left a mark on todays dinner, though since i couldnt afford PF changs it helped my economy for Chinese. Place looked a little bit trashed than 8 – 10 yrs ago, Still the best is the HUGE parking in the back missing some maintenance and TLC specially on the dinning area, you can find yourself sitting on a plunged boot with peeling off vinyl(so i recommend to sit where there is chairs). Service, mediocre. Greeted by non professional and careless young asian girl, that was having a meal, took us to our table and just said«drinks» got us a lil confused, but well its a dynamic they all ask what kind of drink we want, so it was just like: «waiter= drinks, us = coke no ice, sprite no ice«thats all! on top of that they still suggest the 20% tip. FAIL. Alright the make up, the variety of their buffet, although not the best for under 20dlls, you can eat anything from a slice of greasy pepperoni pizza to a vegan sushi roll, bbq, teriyaki, Mongolian and of course Chinese food. Honestly the food isnt great, but its like just above good, only thing is that there is too much grease in a lot of the dishes, but with great consistency, i technically felt like i was back in 2004. Give it a TRY, definitely a hit and miss but truly a possible come back. I Would definitely give them a 4 star(food category and money wise) but they really need to give some TLC to the place.

Should have gone to Taco Bell! And I don’t eat Taco Bell. yikes! The hot and sour soup taste like dish water. And I don’t drink dish water. The restaurant has 8 food stations. Most features hot items with 1 for dessert, 1 for sushi, 1 for soup, noodles plus rice and 1 for salad. Dinner selections feature very small crab legs, white fish, salmon and fried shrimp. The staff did a 7⁄10 job with keeping the food items fresh and filled. With the exception of the Salmon. It took me 2 attempts to convince 2 different staffers to bring out more salmon. From the time we arrived to 20 minutes later. That’s unacceptable! Here’s my summary — Ambiance /cleanliness — 3⁄10(very outdated) Friendliness/helpfulness — 2⁄10(had to ask a couple times for salmon) — see above Price/value — 1⁄10(went for dinner at $ 14.69 per person. Far too expensive based on food quality and taste. Note: kids charged based on age. ANDDRINKS not included ! Food quality/taste– 5⁄10(veggies are fresh, salmon was drenched in a salty, gravy like sauce, most other items were acceptable) Parking– 7⁄10(free parking but limited) if you park at the business next door you could be towed. Use street or their small parking in the front or rear

All you can eat lunch buffet for $ 8.99? Steal deal!(Drinks are for an additional charge!) For the price you’re paying, definitely do not expect the quality of food to be up to par. I came here for a luncheon with my co-workers one afternoon and arrived when their buffet was open for lunch at 11:00am. We realized a lot of the dishes were reheated from previous day, so not everything was freshly made. On the flip side, there was a variety of food to choose from. Although they are a Chinese buffet restaurant, they carried other cuisines such as American & Japanese. I’m not much of a fan for buffets, but this is definitely one of the better buffets I’ve been to.

This place looks really run down. $ 8.99/person for lunch. 10% off for seniors. From the looks, it looks like there are a lot of selections. However, when I went to fill my plate, there was almost nothing to choose from or to my liking. The soup looks super oily. Most of the food was dry and hard, especially the chicken. Taste was mediocre. Not a lot of nice things to say about this place other than it is affordable…

I moved to Sacramento a couple years ago from out of state. Back home we have four or five amazing Chinese buffets. The only good buffet I’ve found here is Fuji in Elk Grove, but the long drive and longer wait keep me looking for another one. Let me set the scene for you… Two starving kids, two over worked and exhausted parents getting off work late on a Friday night. Each of us trying to convince the others either into cooking or going to something specific. My wife finally agrees to go out to eat but only if we have Chinese. With a teenage boy the only way to eat Chinese without taking out a second mortgage is a buffet. No one wanted to wait over an hour at Fuji so we checked Unilocal for some suggestions. After reading a couple reviews we decided to give this place a try. I should have paid attention to the dates on the positive reviews, they are almost all four years ago or more. First, the outside of the building and the state of the carpets and bench seats was a little scary. So was the fact that at 730 on a Friday night it was almost empty. The hostess was prompt and polite but asked us what we wanted to drink before we even sat down and didn’t seem to understand what we were asking when we tried to determine what they had. Moving on to the food. Or maybe I would rather not. The hibachi food was epic, and is the only reason this place got two stars. It was fresh, well seasoned and they left the veggies crunchy. The egg rolls were mushy as if they overlooked the inside or used cold grease. The sushi had a bad smell so I didn’t even eat it. The chicken wings looked like they were cooked at least a week ago. The hot and sour soup was ok but the gross film from the top made it evident that it set awhile. Tons of fresh fruit! They stopped refreshing anything at 8. Even if it got empty. The waitresses were super polite and speedy. I left a good tip even though I won’t ever be coming back. By the way to the other reviewer who knowingly went out to eat without a tip, you’re a jerk. You don’t have money for a tip go to someplace that doesn’t have a waitress. End story, if you actually got this far, don’t eat here. Ever.
