One of my favourite places to eat. I always get the veggie burger with all the fixings and garlic curly fries! Their menu has a lot to offer. The most interesting item options are the vast selections of fries. Chilli fries, Nacho fries, etc. basically can create your own fixings for the fries!
Only issue that makes this a 4 star is how packed this place is. A table for 2 can take 30 – 40 minutes. Imagine how long a table of 2+ is. Waited almost 1.5 hours on my birthday night for a table of 6. Almost makes you want to leave! The place should have more seating, but it’s very very small so they’re limited! I’d suggest coming at lunch time or not coming at all. Pretty cool place and I love going, but I always skip out because the wait is just excruciating!

I went to that restaurant for the first time on the 19^th of Jan a place my brother picked to celebrate his birthday with few close friends.
The girl that took my order seemed almost rude and in a rush. I thought ok no problem they re kinda busy she is stressed i understand. Food arrived after a while but again no worries we had all evening we were there to celebrate. I got a turkey sandwich split with a friend and a beer. Food was ok nothing i havent tried before. Our total bill was about $ 80! Most of our party put cash but me and my sister in law only had our cards. I work at the restaurant business having to deal with card charges and cards all day. I told my sis in law to write what each of us paying for and the last numbers of our cards to help them out. The waiter at this point was a male who said they cant split out check based on the items we had! What? WHY NOT? Again we said ok… do $ 10 (thats was for my card) and i think my sis in law did $ 45-​$ 50 rest should cover the bill and
i notice on my bank account another charge after my $ 10 i authorized and sign. Why they double charge me? Its been almost 10 days idk if they would even be able to figure it out plus reading some tips on here about the rude management and customer service i wasnt sure calling them was a good idea. So i called bank of America and filled a clain for that $ 32.54 double charge amount. Hopefully my banks deparment will be able to figure out what happened.
Main conclution, poor service, long wait, food just ok, not splitting your check and the double charge deal very annoying. I dont recoment this restaurant based on my one and definitely last experience. Especially if you have a larger party take them somewhere else. If you do end up going i recomend you to keep a close eye on your bank statement… seriously!!!

My favorite burger place, up there with Gotts (Taylor’s refresher in St. Helena/​SF ferry building) in my opinion, since I’m a super taster and have a sensitive food palette.
The beef in these burgers is high quality, grass fed, all natural. I love their salad greens and house dressing. Can’t go wrong with any of their fries. I also enjoy their lamb burgers.

Came here for dinner on Thursday and luckily got a table right away. Keep in mind this place gets busy! The vibe of the place is a casual bar with a nice homey feel.
I opted for their Chorizo burger with fries and it was fantastic! The flavors were on point and the pattie was amazing. I definitely see why this place is a favorite and the best part is that it’s not over priced for their burgers!

Just because I don’t eat beef doesn’t mean I can’t give a great burger review!
I have enjoyed the Turkey, Garden, Portobello Mushroom and Smoked Tofu burgers. But I have to say though, my absolute favorite, after 5 years is still the Smoked Tofu burger. It’s so perfectly cooked and has so much good, smoky flavor and meaty texture. The wheat bun and toppings are all merged into the most satisfying tofu thing I think I’ve ever eaten. And thank God (or the chef) you can watch your figure a little and choose a salad in place of fries. FYI, though, those fries are fricken good!
I love coming here for late night food because they’re open until 3am. The daytime is nice too if the patio is open and when Sacto is not too cold or too hot. Parking can be decent depending if the neighbors, Ace of Spades, has a major event. Service and ambiance are great. I love the brick walls and tap handles trimmed along the walls. I don’t think they offer table service anymore. On my recent experience I ordered at the counter and was given a number to take back to my table. My server was really accommodating too.
Their beer selection looks like it has everything from local to Belgian. I don’t drink beer either, but I keep coming back for the great food.

My friend and our friends are road tripping up to Portland Oregon and stopped in Sacramento for the night and ended up at burgers and brew for dinner. Not only are they open late but their burgers are supreme! I consider myself to be a burger conisuer, having lived in California my whole life, a great many different varieties of burgers have been consumed on my behalf. Burgers and brew in Sacramento delivers hands down and two thumbs up!
We ordered the chorizo burger, jalapeño bacon cheese burger, the lamb burger, and the bacon cheese burger. All four where amazing. Not to neglect their fries. many different variations, including the Diablo fries which are coated in a spicy buffalo sauce with melted pepper Jack and topped with Jalapenos… Simply delicious! The lamb burger was the best I’ve ever tasted.
Beer menu is on point and competitive prices for portion sizes. Worth every penny. Thanks to the chef and line cooks who crafted these juicy savory delights.

Oh burgers and brew… where do I begin?!
Pros: open late, wide variety of delicious burgers, sandwiches, and specialty fries to choose from, lots of beers and wines to choose from if you drink, close to some fun bars, and reliably delicious for the most part.
Cons: staff always seems disorganized and chaotic unless it’s a very slow time (which is rare); the register people suck at suggestions generally and with so many option, that is a frustrating issue; it’s often difficult to find a seat or move around the place during weekend lunch. For how much I am paying for a lunch, these things are actually kind of a big deal.
I’ve been here many times over the years, but mostly for lunch service. I prefer dinner service as it is a little more calm in comparison the times I’ve been. This last visit was the weekend after Christmas and I knew that it would be a long wait. To my surprise, we found a table. Great! Then we waited in the long line to order where I ask the register girl for a house chardonnay, to which she doesn’t explicitly state but begins to try and probe me about what kinds of chardonnay like and proceeds to charge me for an outrageously priced glass of chardonnay. Whatever, I try it. It’s good but not my favorite. I’m somewhat annoyed. It’s awkward going to the bar to pick up your drinks because you never know if someone will take yours or if you’re grabbing the right ones for sure. They offer lots of different fruit waters. Yay. So we go sit down and wait. And wait. And wait. And wait. 45 mins later, our food came out. Which we wouldn’t have minded if the line to order another drink wasn’t insanely long. The food was good, but they forgot one of our sides and brought it out promptly after. I ordered my burger medium and it was charred and completely cooked inside, so that was another mild irritant. Overall, I’ll be back on occasion but it’s definitely not a priority and I will definitely only go on weekdays.

I really really tried to like this place and even tried to avoid giving it a 2 star Unilocal review. sure this review I’m giving really doesn’t matter and is not going to hurt the business in any way.
This was the second time coming here and the first was as lackluster as this. The customer service at this place is bad i swear these employees always have sour looks on there faces which makes the experience worst.
The food here I give 3 stars not to bad but I would definitely pass on it if in the area. All in all 2 stars worthy need better ingredients for the food and a better staff.

This place definitely brings a crowd in. I’ve stopped in here a few times for lunch and the food and service is outstanding!
The bacon cheeseburgers are great and they have really good garlic fries and tons of beer to choose from. Great spot to grab lunch or a casual dinner.

Haha ;) I’ve tried half of the menu for fries and I’ll be coming back to try the rest of those flavor loaded gems. Their regular price is $ 6, then reduced to $ 4.50 for happy hour, then further down to $ 3.95 when added to a meal. I’ve tried a couple burgers before and wasn’t too impressed, but this time I ordered the portobello mushroom and it was pretty good! You can’t catch a game here, though… no TVs.

It sucks to write a negative review for this place cause it used to be one of my favorite burger spots in Sacramento until now. I’ve worked food service in the past & I understand how busy a place can get on the weekends, so I am pretty patient when it comes to slow service. However after the customer service I experienced here tonight I would feel wrong not to write this post.
My gf and I stopped by around 1130pm on a Saturday night for a couple burgers and orders of their specialty french fry plates. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and breakfast fries. I got my burger pretty fast in about 15 minutes. I figured the fries was taking longer because of how busy it was. 20 more minutes passed and the crowds were leaving so I knew it wasn’t as busy. I went up to the counter & asked about my order — they said it would be here momentarily. After 20 more minutes of waiting my gf finds a waitress and asks her — only to find out that they never even put the order in. At this point our burgers were completely cold and we’d been waiting for over half an hour. We got our plate of fries literally 40 minutes after our burgers arrived and were finally able to eat our dinner.
I’m not as upset about waiting an hour for some cheesy french fries as I am about the staff not knowing what was going on. I would’ve been okay with them being honest & telling me they forgot to put our orders in because mistakes happen I get it. But the cashier blatantly told me it’d be out shortly without even checking otherwise he would have noticed it wasn’t put in. Really puts the integrity of this establishment into question.
The food was good, but definitely not worth the wait. All our refills were self-​served & no one checked on us the entire hour and a half that we were there. If you’re looking for a local burger joint that offers some interesting side menu options then this place is pretty decent, but don’t count on these guys to take care of you on a busy day. Likely won’t be returning any time soon.

I ordered the spicy guacamole burger with garlic curly fries and it was absolutely delicious!
I also tried the lamb burger and didn’t like it. It tasted dry and not as awesome like everyone is praising it…

They have Pliny on tap. $ 35 for a pitcher or $ 8 for a glass.
The place looks like it should have some big screen TVs, but it doesn’t and that’s weird!

I came in craving a great burger with onion rings. I ended up ordering a lamb burger with average onion rings.
Everything tasted okay. It just wasn’t as special as I was hoping for from a 4 star on Unilocal.My lamb burger was cooked right. It had feta cheese, onion, lettuce mix, and on the side a mint yougurt sauce that complemented it well. The onion rings were crisp but I prefer a tempura style batter.
I kind of like that you order and then wait for your food to be brought out to your table but goodluck finding a table. We had to do a few sweeps before landing a spot inside.

Ate here tonight for dinner & it was soooo damn good!!!
I had the lamb burger (which was suggested by our waitress) & a side salad. The burger was juicy & the feta cheese & mint yogurt sauce was perfect alongside of the burger. The side salad, which was a simple green salad & a light vinaigrette dressing was DELICIOUS! I finished the whole salad before I even touched my burger!
My hubby had the mushroom & onion burger (I had a few bites) & it was soooo yummy!!! The burger was perfectly cooked & had a great beefy taste to it (probably why I kept taking bite after bite of it). His fries were perfectly cooked (crispy & lightly salty on the outside & light & fluffy in the inside)!
Our waitress was very sweet & very attentive! All in all, we had a wonderful experience here & will definitely be returning to try the other burger selections!

The single best sweet potato fries I have ever had! Crispy and salty without being sweet like candy. I have the jalapeño burger and it was perfect, if not too much jalapeño. I’ve also had a standard cheeseburger and it is succulent. The meat is top notch.
Also, they have a bunch of fry selections you can choose from! Such as garlic, or buffalo blue cheese, or sweet potato. So good!!!
You need to get here early for lunch or late for dinner because it’s packed during the day, and rightfully so. Probably one of the best burgers you will stuff into your pie hole!
Oh, did I mention the beer selection is freakin AWESOME! Nothing makes me happier than an amazing burger with an excellent selection of beers.

FAT PATTIES AND GOOD BREWS!
I used to come here just about every day. The burgers were a perfect lunch meal and didn’t leave you feeling greasy and nasty even though they are large. I have stopped eating here as frequently for a few reasons, but it is still great. Let’s review!
QUALITY/​SELECTION: ⁴⁄₅
First let’s do beer. They have tons of rotating taps with some great brews. Last week they had Brother Thelonius, which is amazing when fresh. Huge selection of bottled beer as well. Great Niman Ranch patties! You cant go wrong with the burgers here. Lot’s of interesting sandwiches and fry meals as well. The quality of the food has seen a significant decrease in quality over the past few years. It is still the best burger in the area, but sometimes I will get a stale bun or mushy patty (I only get well done) which is disappointing.
AMBIENCE: ⁴⁄₅
Good outside seating right on R street. The inside is a little cramped, but can usually accommodate everyone. The bar is small and right next to the register line, which is not very relaxing. The décor is nice and the lighting isn’t too overbearing. I like that they have all of the taps on the walls. Most patrons are there to enjoy the good food with friends, but sometimes you get some hood figures being loud at late night, as Burgers is open after clubs close.
PRICE: ⁴⁄₅
The beers on top are cheaper than you would expect for good quality brews. The bottled beers can get pricey. Burgers and sandwiches are all below the $ 10 range. Nothing too out of the ordinary.
SERVICE: ³⁄₅
Service is a toss-​up depending on when you come. I have been here and had amazing service with cheerful waiters and quick seating. I have also been here where nobody greets you or looks you in the eye. At lunch you have to order at the register, and half of the time one of the girls is talking to her friends and acts like she is doing you a favor taking your money. But like I said before, many employees are amazing. The white greeter with short hair is great, and I really like the new Indian guy. He is awesome.
Overall, this is still the best burger in the area. I think that the sheer volume of patrons sometimes makes it hard for them to keep up the superior service and quality that I have come to expect. It is hard not to like it after you try it. I want another one right now!

Love this place. They have a great selection of burgers, sandwiches and even salads. My favorite dish is the turkey avocado melt.

The place tends to get busy during lunch hour so if you can make it in before 1130, that’s best. However even if you show up during the busy lunch hour, the food still does come out quickly.
Note: Self seating, order at the counter, you get your own water and need to go to the bar for refills.

Das Fleisch war richtig schön saftig und hat herzhaft gut geschmeckt. Auch die Sauce und das Brot waren lecker.
Sehr gut waren die Garlic-​Pommes, schön knusprig und mit frischem intensiven Knoblauch-​Geschmack!
