So I’ve been here a few times, and this place can be summed up pretty quickly as another typical Sacramento bar/restaurant. What do I mean by that? First off, it’s bar centered(alcohol is expected to be purchased with your meal), it’s loud, and the food is decent-good though very over-priced. Can you get a burger for under $ 10? No. Can you get any entrée at all for any $ 10? No. So the real question then, is the food worth paying over $ 10 a plate for? Maybe. So here are the details on Broderick’s, a place that started in West Sac, and has now added to that location with another in Midtown. They have a nice ranging menu with variety. They have burgers, and lots of them, which earns them a spot on my «Best Burgers in Sac» List! I’ve tried a few of them now, and they are good, definitely, though if you’ve read any of my other reviews, I’m not a big fan of paying over $ 15 for a burger. But I’ll give it to them, they can make a good burger. The Johnny Cash Burger($ 15.50 with a fried-egg) and the El Charro Burger($ 15.50 with a fried-egg) topped my list, but they’re all worth trying. All the burgers a re very well made with quality ingredients and full of flavor. They also have a nice variety of fries made with different«toppings» such as the classic garlic fries($ 6.25), and chili-cheese fries($ 8). Then more extravagant options like their Banh Mi Fries($ 10) and Gorgonzola mushroom fries($ 9). My favorite ended up being their garlic fries, as the flavor was good and true to the name. Their Banh Mi fries didn’t quite work in my opinion, and as a very big Banh Mi fan, and I wouldn’t get them again. All in all, if I’m in the area and feeling the need for a burger, this is probably my midtown spot as of now. The price is steep, so I definitely wont be going out of my way to get here, but if I’m close, I’d eat here again.

We tried the Duck Burger as recommended by our waitress! It was delicious! We would definitely order that again! Service was very good, lots of wonderful menu choices. We were a party of 10 and everyone enjoyed their meal.

Since my first experience I have gone back and ordered the same salted caramel shake that the first go around was just inedible. This time it was fabulous. And so were the garlic fries that they were kind enough to add cheese to for me. My husband loved his burger so it’s likely we’ll go back again.

Had the Buffalo Jumbo Chicken Wings(½ order), Yummy & perfect amount so you didn’t feel stuffed after eating… enough room for a dessert if desired! Friends had the Gold Rush Burger, El Desperado & El Charro and my 4yr old had the Kids Chicken Tenders with Fries… no one went crazy on Fries… Regular & Garlic… super yummy overall though. **Next time I’m Having a Burger! Our server, Breanna was great & Very informative with suggestions for us new comers! Sunday at 330pm was a perfect time for a late lunch/Early dinner with Friends.

I really enjoy coming to Broderick, primarily the original in East Sac, but the Midtown location is cool too. I usually come for lunch since it’s blocks aways from the State buildings in Midtown. The vibe is different from the other location in that it’s more busy and feels more like an actual sit down bistro, rather than a cozy dive that is the East Sac location. It gets pretty busy here during weekday lunch and is filled with a good mix of business men/women working in the area and hipsters who traipse around Midtown during the week. When you get here YOUMUSTORDERTHEBAHNMIFRIES! The order is huge and totally hits the spot every time. It’s served with pulled pork atop a mound of french fries with a sweet daikon-carrot slaw on top. Seriously, ! I can pretty much order this as a meal in itself, but the fat girl in me always wants to order the chicken wings, which are equally as huge. As a recommendation, if you order the chicken wings, order the half order. Instead of serving the wings in two cut up pieces and counting it as two separate wings(like Wingstop or Hooters do), they serve you the entire wing and count it as one big wing. The first time it came out, I could literally only eat two wings because they were so big! All-in-all, this is a cool place to come to grab some quality food. The food is delicious and you will always leave full!

The first time I tried to go here was a Friday night and the line was out the door. I did not even attempt to navigate through the madness. Tried again on a Sunday evening and there was no wait. Not sure if they have a hostess or self-serve or what so more direction(or sign of instruction) would have been nice. First, love that they have outside seating. Second, they have a great beer selection both on tap and in bottle. Our waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable. He knew all the right questions to ask as well. I like that he gave his honest opinion in helping me navigate the menu. Ordered the Bonnie & Clyde cocktail and it is super refreshing! They have a wide array of burgers. My boyfriend got the Johnny Cash. He swears by it. I was in more of a fry mood. I tried the Banh Mi Fries and OMG! The most amazing fries to ever enter my mouth, and trust me, I have had all sorts of fries. I will definitely be back for the fries and to try a burger as well!

A friend from the Bay Area was visiting me in Sacramento, and wanted to get a good burger. I instantly thought of the Broderick’s in West Sac, but didn’t feel like driving all the way there. I remembered that they had a midtown location. Score! I loved the food at the West Sacramento location, so I was pretty confident that I would have a similar experience here. I had a burger with a side salad, the burger was so juicy and fresh and the salad was amazing(I raved about the bomb balsamic dressing in my last review) I liked the atmosphere, and we were seated immediately. Our server was also awesome, my boyfriend ordered a sandwich that came with a gorgonzola sauce. He doesn’t like gorgonzola so ordered it without the sauce, and the waiter said«trust me, you have to try it. I don’t even like gorgonzola and I love the stuff». So, he got it on the side and it was SOGOOD. I dipped a couple fries in it, and couldn’t stop eating it. This will probably be my go-to spot if I’m craving a delicious burger. Try it, you won’t be dissapointed.

The first time I ever came here was after a fabulous time on the Sac Brew Bike so I thought everything was amazing and gobbled it down like a hungry wolf. I was a little worried the second time that the food wouldn’t live up to my(somewhat fuzzy) memories of it but thankfully that was not the case! Things get pretty hectic during peak hours — hostesses at the front sometimes disappear, the service and kitchen get a little bogged down… but the food is good, the fries are loaded, and they have boozy milkshakes. What else could you really want in life? An outdoor patio to enjoy the warm weather, you say? Good thing they’ve got that too!

hi-ya! Ok so this is where we started our evening… the burgers are what everybody is raving about… great. Their big, not too oily and stay together as you eat it(as in the bread doesn’t disintegrate while you hold it). Our group ordered the lamb, el charro, gold rush and tue bleu! along with a full compliment of alcoholic beverages and later milk shakes. I’m simply going to add on to the many folks who agree that the food, drink and service are on point. It’s really loud, the wait is reasonable, but for a fun time with friends/buddies/etc…great place.

I went from not liking to this place at all to being a huge fan of their burgers! The flavor to the hamburger patties are extremely flavorful and the pepper’ee hint is a winner to me. During this visit I tried the el charro burger. The pickled jalapeños were good and the pickling of the jalapeño somewhat suppressed the spiciness of the numerous jalapeños contained in the burger. I also ventured out french fry wise and tried the buffalo bleu fries which were decent.

Great place, hip and cool. Food outstanding. Will come again. As a matter of fact, I went back 2 hours later to order another crab cake. Yummy.

Friday lunch, I was hoping to get brunch but realized people only did that on Saturday and Sunday’s. We were going to the porch again but nothing on the menu sounded good so we walked down a little further and there was Broderick. I’ve always wanted to try this place and thankfully my bf didn’t want anything from the porch. Nice little place. Most people were there for their bar area, it seems that they have a lot of beer on tap and in a bottle. We walked in and were seated right away. The menu we very simple. They offer sandwiches, burgers, fries, dessert and brunch(sat & sun). What we ordered: a burger for me and sandwich for the gentlemen. You’ll find the names on the picture I took. I upgraded for banh mi fries and he got garlic fries. The burger was great. It was cooked medium like I wanted. It wasn’t dry at all which made the burger taste really good. Better than burgers and brew for me. The banh mi fries were a little salty but the meat was very soft and the fries weren’t soggy. I really enjoyed it. I tried the garlic fries and thought it was ok. I’m more into dry garlic fries seasoning instead of it being wet. The sand which tasted like a Philly cheesesteak, like a really good one. I’m a fan. I’d be back. I’d like to try their milk shakes and brunch.

OMG the Desperado is the best thing I’ve ever tasted. Cheesesteaks are my favorite. We went in just to get drinks and I heard a lot about their Banh Mi fries and duck burger but the desperado caught my attention. So glad I ordered it. Steak was perfectly cooked and the egg ran into the cheese sauce it was a mouth explosion. I didn’t expect to try the food so soon but will definitely be back for more!

What a cool spot… My favorite dish here is most definitely the banh mi fries. Its spicy, its sweet, its sour, Unilocal its everything and then some. Pulled pork, daikon, and sweet vietnamese citrus sauce on a bed of fries. Ohhh yes indeed and make sure you catch their fish tacos because they are off the hook! It’s a must if you’ve never had banh mi fries before. So grab a beer, grab a bite and BAM… you got the makings of a wondeful nite. Plus, theres TVs all around for your favorite sports games. You better believe… Banh mi all day baby. Throw down a moscow mule or two and you’ll be lovin life. Cheers. =)

Very impressive guys, very impressive. I came for dinner with another two sharing a dozen naked wings, bacon Mac n cheese on top of arugula and banh mi fries for $ 50. Dozen wings for $ 20. They are full wings, not cut in half. So if you really think about it… A dozen is really two dozen! We had the sauce on the side, honey molasses BBQ and the bomb sauce. Bomb sauce was a perfectly spicy salsa like dip and I don’t care for BBQ but the honey molasses in it made it delicious. Wings were perfectly fried and still juicy. Mac n cheese $ 8. At first I was scared because they have blue cheese in it, but I didn’t taste it! It was pretty good but I wouldn’t order it again because of the fried cheese on top. I just don’t like burnt cheese. It was also a very small portion for $ 8. Banh mi fries: so impressed, I usually don’t eat Asian fusion or any type of Asian food at an American restaurant. These were ordered because my friend wanted to try it. The fries were perfectly crunchy, sauce was just right, meat was perfectly tender, perfecto! Came back the next day for BRUNCH! Because we saw how yummy the brunch menu looked. crab cakes: ooooo boy! Crab cake was a very generous portion from what we expected. Eggs were cooked perfect to my liking asking for over easy. Bomb sauce with it was outrageously yummy to the tummy. Eggs bursted over the crab cake flowing like a volcanos lava. Potatoes were perfectly fried and seasoned as well. Chicken and waffle!!! Chicken Breast battered and season perfectly and fried to perfection because it was juuuuiiiiccccyyyy through every bite. Waffles were perfect because it was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Everything was PERFECt!!! Orgasmicly perfect. Service was on par from the bartender during brunch and the waiter during dinner. Always smiling and checking on us during the perfect time.

This place is great if you’ve got an appetite. The portion sizes are excellent and the food quality is great. I ordered the special of the day, which was basically a sandwich monstrosity overflowing with pastrami and French fries. My girlfriend ordered the breakfast plate, which I’m sure she enjoyed. What impressed me most was the service. I wish I could remember the server’s name because she was perfect in every way. She was friendly, prompt, and knowledgeable. I’m planning to go back sometime soon for Sunday brunch(the best time to go). Before you go, swing by Costco and pick up the gift cards. $ 79.99 for $ 100 worth of cards is totally worth it.

Came in on a Friday night and the place was quite full. We were immediately greeted and seated at a table. The noise level was on the higher side, but that was expected with the amount of people inside socializing. We ordered a half order of the wings for an appetizer and once they arrived I was reminded of my travels to the east coast. The wings were huge with a tasty buffalo sauce(East Coast style) the ranch that they make in house I believe went really well with the wings. A nice surprise was the bar had Cucumber soda, which many eateries do not carry. Our dinner was a burger split with the french fries upgraded to chili cheese. The portion was a good size so we decided to split the order. The server was nice enough to bring out the dinner split perfectly on separate plates, which made it extremely easy to share our meal. The burger was cooked properly, and the chili cheese fries had a good amount of meat to bean ratio. I will be revisiting this place for sure!

Yes. Everything about this place is just YES. I recommend the buffalo wings for an appetizer. Move over BWW and Wing Stop because the wings here are HUGE. They include the wing portion connected to the drummette so a half dozen easily fed 4 of us. The Bleu Cheese sauce dipping sauce was on point. So tasty. But the breadwinner of this establishment has to be the DUCKBURGER. The combination of fig jam, a delicious cheese skirt, and arugula with red wine vinaigrette was MONEY. The duck was perfectly cooked without being overly greasy. I passed on the banh mi fries to save my arteries but I will definitely be back to try them. The gorgonzola mushroom fries are also delicious. The gravy fries were surprisingly light and delicious. What I really like about this place is that everything we tried was delicious(and between 4 people we tried A LOT). There were so many options here and there are so many tasty options! I’m drooling about that duck burger now as I type. Cannot wait to return and try it again!

Went in on a Monday night with my sisters. If you are a meat hamburger lover than this is your place. They give large portions with good flavor. Great service by the servers, they checked in just enough times and kept our waters full. I also saw a few familes with kids. Capital Dime is my preference(across the street) and the Brodericks’ owners closed it and are changing it =-(. Sigh. I got the True Bleu burger, it has bacon, bleu cheese, and garlic aoli. My favorite part was the well-toasted bun. I upgraded to the gargonzola mushroom fries. They were heavy but very good! I ate them all. I would go again for the fries, but I’m not a big burger person.
