This is the place to go for great unique and low calorie drinks. Eli the bar manager is the very best bartender I’ve ever encountered. He welcomes every person. I’m planning on going Tuesday for Taco Tuesday every week! They also have a late night happy hour 7 days a week!

My favorite happy hour place. Like the vibe and find it to be the perfect place to sit and talk while eating and enjoying a drink. The Café Bernardo menu is solid. Best value are the happy hour edibles. Love the nachos and butternut squash pizza. Excellent value.

This place is slowly becoming a regular place for me. It has areas of weakness but the vibe is just so awesome that I am determined to try items off of the menu until I find something that I love. The Basil Cooler is impeccable and as refreshing as you would imagine. The food can be delicious but is a little hit or miss. I only recently found out that you can order any of the food from the restaurant next door you don’t have to strictly order from the bar menu. I am anxious to try other items outside of the bar menu as half of the bar menu is delicious and the other half of what I tried was just OK. The service has been friendly, only once have I encountered a bartender that seemed annoyed with me. I asked what he would recommend and that seemed to be the first sign of annoyance. I like to ask wherever I go especially when they have unique house drinks because they know more about the menu than I do. I typically get an enthusiastic response so I was a little thrown off. BUT my other 2 visits since then have been with friendly bartenders and staff so maybe they were just having an off day.

Great hidden spot. There is outside seating, which is fabulous this time of year. They have great specialty cocktails to choose from. It is nice because you can order of the Café Bernardo menu too! The atmosphere is very nice for date night or cocktails with the girls.

First time coming here, on a recommendation from a friend. The parking lot was jam packed but its shares with some other high priced dinner spots, so be prepared for a short walk to the restaurant. Attached to Café Bernardo, they have a great selections of wine and food which were all well prepared. Since we had the dog, as usual, we sat on the patio and they were very happy to have the 3 of us. Theac and cheese was great and the burger very good. The ambiance is quiet and great for conversation, only complaint was the servers didn’t come by as often as we would have liked, and got a few of our requests wrong. Nothing too bad, definitely putting this one on the roster for a return trip!

This is Café Bernardo’s bar, for those of you driving around in circles because your GPS says you’re there and you don’t see a sign for Berkley Bar. Walk right through the restaurant and you’ll enter a spacious indoor and outdoor bar space always with plenty of seating available. The bartenders are all super friendly and know their drinks, often recommending different brands or combinations. The place is decorated upscale in line with their Pavilion’s shopping center home but dress code is casual, neighborhood bar attire. Well, Fair Oaks/Carmichael casual. All the CF fare is available at the bar as well so you can chow down on their famous grub too. It has a fun vibe at the bar because I’ve noticed the servers sorta of congregate there when they’re waiting for food or drinks to be up. They’re very friendly with the guests. I prefer this place over nearby Bandera or Ruth Chris because it just feels a little less corporate.

My Boss, a few coworkers and I drifted to Berkley Bar after trying(and failing) to get into Ruth Chris’ Happy Hour next door. It was still before 5:00pm, so we found seats on the patio and plenty of seats inside the bar. Service was prompt and we were able to order a few drinks and appetizers. Berkley Bar is connected to Café Bernardo so all the food comes from there. Drinks were good and well made, and they had a great menu of speciality cocktails for Happy Hour. Everyone loved the Pepperoni Pizza and I thought the Grilled Cheese with Jalapeños and Avocado was good as well with the unique flavors. Everyone thought the Sliders were tasty, and the Quesadilla got the same reviews. My favorite was the Macaroni and Cheese because it had a lot of cheese and great cheesy flavor. I also loved the Butterscotch Pot de Crème because it was nice and light, but had a good strong butterscotch flavor. Mmm… Overall I would come back when in the area again. It was a nice night so the patio filled up quickly, but there were plenty of seats in the bar. Food and drinks were reasonably priced and they have a good Happy Hour. Need I say more?

Came for a friend’s surprise party and they were more than accommodating. The food, however was ok but left a little to be desired. I got the Huevos rancheros. The black beans that they used were not suited to my palate. I simply have had better huevos rancheros at hole in the wall mexican joints. I shouldn’t be complaining too much because it beautiful day I spent sipping carafes after carafes of mimosas.

Awesome local bar. Great drinks, awesome for groups. Very much East Sac/Carmichael. Bartenders are great and food is delicious.
