Combo #1 with Classic fusion sauce, mild is my No.1 choice, after I have tried Combo #1,2,and 3. It is enough for my husband, my daughter and me. We usually order a bowl of rice or noodle since we love the sauce. And I found out their tariyaki chicken or beef is good too. If you order this, you don’t need to order rice. My daughter loves their sausage, so I usually order 12 pieces($ 5.50) more adding to the combo. I saw many people order to go. I think that is a good choice, expecially when they offer $ 16 for $ 25 value in Groupon. You can get Combo #1 for less than $ 20. What a great deal!

Actually really like this place! We got the shrimp in flavor fusion. I’d rather go here then drive all the way to Boiling Crab just to wait 30min-1hr.

We came on a Sunday afternoon, not too crowded so that was nice. Place is clean and the staff very attentive. We ordered the crab rowdons and the garlic noodles due to previous reviews. Both very good. then the not so good. We each ordered something different, friend ordered Blue crab and shrimp, I ordered Dungess and mussels. As Dungess was listed as market price, ask, I did. Was told it was in season so not too bad. Should have pushed for more. At the end of the meal our bill for 2 was $ 83!!! Couldn’t even start the crab as I was full from all the other stuff so took it home to have that night. Put it right into the fridge yet when I pulled it out about 8 that night it tasted like it had gone bad and I couldn’t eat it. Not sure I’ll give it another try at this price. Maybe just for appetizers.

Very tasty. Be prepared to play with your food. Shrimp is unpeeled and whole, so be prepared to suck the head. Seafood is frozen but cooked very well and tastes good. I had shrimp with sausage and fusion sauce. Happy with my choice.

I really wanted to like this restaurant so I tried it a second and third time. Unfortunately, the flavor is not quite there. I ordered there king crab legs in the boiling seasoning, fried shrimp and fried oysters. The king crab legs were tasteless, the fried shrimp batter was too thick and the oysters were undercooked. However, there Cajun and garlic fries are very good and there customer service is professional. I will have to continue driving a distance to the boiling crab when I am looking for good Cajun seafood.

Had a Groupon to try them out. We didn’t know where to start so the staff made some recommendations. We tried the shrimp basket and upgraded to the Cajun garlic fries for $ 11.95. We added on a side of garlic noodles for $ 4.95 and had the house fried rice for $ 8.50. The food came out pretty fast and the server was attentive and noticed when we needed refills. The fried rice was a generous portion and all the mix of meats in it went well and were good size pieces. The fried shrimp were excellent and if your a spicy garlic person those fries are for you. We came out with our tummy’s full and all the food had good flavor. What’s even better is they have Groupon and service was great. We will be back!

Average tasting food, mediocre service. Bought a groupon that was $ 16 for $ 25 worth of food. Ordered one pound of shrimp with sausages and chose mild for the level of spice. the bf ordered one pound of shrimp as well and added corn and chose medium for the level spice. I have yet to find a place that surpasses boiling crab(BC) when it comes to the sauce. I tried the flavor fusion sauce which is the equivalent to BC’s whole shebang sauce. It was much sweeter compared to BC. I think BC uses more butter and way more garlic. I ordered the level of spice to be mild but didn’t taste even a hint of heat :( Shrimp was cooked well.(You know it’s been boiled for too long when the shell sticks to the skin). Not the case here, thankfully. Sausages were a six pieces cut into very generous-sized slices. Minus two stars for the service. The waiter who brought our food over didn’t repeat the order to us. Just came to our table, didn’t say a word, dropped off the food, and left. My boyfriend and I gave each other the«um, okay? l» look. So we had to open it and figure out who the food belonged to. Second offense. When I went to pay for the food, the person at the cashier spoke so quietly that I could barely hear him. He printed out my receipt and realized he didn’t take off the price that i paid for the groupon. Had to ask him about it and again, could not understand what he was saying.

Still amazing! I’ve been here tons of times, my friends love it here. It’s cheaper and much faster service than boiling crab

Came here on a Tuesday night around 7:30pm with my husband. This was our second time here. First time, we came with the kids for our monthly family dinner. We also had a groupon that I purchased, $ 16 for $ 25 worth of food. We got there and were seated immediately. Our waiter was very nice, quick and professional. My husband ordered 3lbs of mild garlic lemon crawfish for $ 9/lb. We added 5 corns for .75 cents each. Great price, flavorful and mild was perfect. I ordered the fried calamari basket with garlic fries. It wasn’t as good as the first time we’ve tried it but it wasn’t bad. I also ordered crab cheese wontons. Pretty good just like everywhere else. Their smoothies were ok. They didn’t have jackfruit that day so we ordered mixed berry. They need to blend it longer and better cause there were still chunks of ice. Food came out pretty quick. Everything was hot, crispy and fresh. The waiter was attentive and polite. I’d definitely go there again. Usually we’d go to firehouse but this place is closer to home since we live in the antelope area. The restaurant and bathrooms were clean. They have a few flat screen tvs with the game on, which is perfect for my husband. They have more food options than firehouse so that’s a plus. I’ll try it next time. Overall, I’m a fan and will be returning.

I decided to check out Asian n Cajun after getting a $ 9 Groupon for $ 25 toward food. I wasn’t expected much since a lot of places on Groupon aren’t all that great, but boy was I oh so wrong. When we walked in we were immediately greeted by a lovely young lady and was seated. We were asked if we been there before and and since we haven’t she gave use the run down of how the seafood selection and flavor were. I’m not a major shrimp eater so I went with Garlic noodles and a salad and Amy got the chicken strip basket and dessert we got the Deep fried bananas with ice cream. The garlic noodle are off the hook so bomb and you get a big portion for $ 4.50 and I would rate that dish 4.5 stars The salad with Asian dressing was tasty but that dressing is slap somebody good no lie! I wish I could order that to go. lol! I would rate that a 4.3 stars Now to the deep fried bananas with ice cream. The ice cream was average but the fried banana was so good I lost myself for a minute. The waitress laugh and all the sounds I was making as I ate every bite of the banana. I have to rate that a 10+ stars hands down the best I’ve had. Amy got the chicken strip basket and upgraded to Cajun garlic fries. They smelled so good but since her chicken was placed on the fries I couldn’t eat them as I’m allergic to potatoes. :( Everything was right under $ 25 and is well worth it even without a Groupon deal. I definitely plan on going back for more!

Tonight was the night! I was craving Asian food. What better place than Asian Cajun! Second time here and again, never seizes to amaze me with how fast their service is. Their food… Fresh, clean, and full of flavor. I ordered the Pork Chop over rice… Can not get over how it melted in my mouth. It absolutely fulfilled my Asian craving. For $ 8 and a full stomach… Who can complain! I will be a regular here! Thank you so much!

This little hide away spot is very tasty. The sauce was awesome. But the shrimp was a bit over cooked. If this place and boiling crab had a baby. It would be perfect. B.C.(shrimp) + this place’s sauce = perfect. I took my gf here to celebrate her getting an A in her classes and she spotted it and said we should try it. The décor is nice but small, borderline cozy. The server got to us right away. Their menu is similar to BC. We each ordered a pound of shrimp and Cajun fries. I had mine mild and hers was med. I added corn to mine and a bottle Saporro. The food came out really quickly and it was steaming hot. It took a bit for it to cool down before we could eat. After tasting the sauce, I knew I had to get a side of rice to go with the sauce. It is THAT good. Sadly their rice was $ 2/bowl. So we only got one. In the end the bill was $ 34.94. Not bad, about the same as it would be at BC. The only thing bad was they ran out of blue crab but it was still present on their chalk menu. At BC they cross things out as they run out. I had my hopes up for crab and shrimp but they were out. Other than that, it was a very pleasant meal. Also they don’t have other sports channels aside from ESPN and basic tv. Will definitely come back again, this time, we are gonna get the crab!

Wow. This place is actually just as good as Boiling Crab! Haven’t been to a Cajun place that tasted this good! This place is relatively big. Maybe 50 people capacity. When we walked through the door, the waiter got us seated right away. While he was walking us to our table, I saw a lady walk out of the kitchen with fried rice! I didn’t see that on the menu. Maybe I’m blind or it’s a special order. Looked good though. I took a look at the menu and the items are about the same as BC. Got my usual, pound of raging(not ragin’ haha) medium spice shrimp and Cajun fries. The orders came out pretty fast. Then again, it was kinda empty. The bags were STEAMING hot! Took a while to be cool enough to the touch. Until we got to our shrimp, we ate the fries. The fries were okay. It wasn’t as crispy as I usually take it, but the seasoning was pretty good. I guess that compensated for the crispness. It was Cajun with some green leaves. It was good. We dug into the shrimp once the they were cool enough to eat. When I first tasted the sauce, oh my goodness! It doesn’t taste like your typical BC sauce. I’m sorry, but I think this place has got BC beat on their sauce! It was Cajun but with a sweet Asian twist to it. I tasted a hint of sweetness, which I really liked! One down side to this place is the«pound» of shrimp didn’t seem like a pound you would get at BC. It was smaller. Let’s just say at BC you would, on average, get 20 pieces. Here, I got maybe 12. Also, maybe a good ¼ of my shrimp was WAY overcooked. The shells stuck to the meat, so it was hard to take out the shells. Also, 3 of the shrimps were still bleeding. I’m not sure if it was blood, or the sauce, but it kinda grossed me out. Good thing I was nearing the end of my bag. Overall, I would definitely come back! The service was good. The waiter was friendly and on top of his game. He checked up on us and made sure we were still good. The food was excellent! I was really surprised this little place actually tasted good! I hope next time, my batch of shrimp will be all good. Not overcooked or bleeding.

Had a Sacramento Bee dealsaver coupon, $ 10 for $ 20 worth of food that expires in July, so decided to use it and catch game 6 of the NBA Finals. Not too busy for a Tuesday night, but several groups did arrive after we did. Never got very loud or crowded though. Seated by the window with prime view of one of the TVs in the corner. Started with the Cajun Fries appetizer($ 3.95), and opted to split the Combo #3 bucket(shrimps, mussels, clams, snow crab legs, corn, potatoes, and sausages) in Flavor Fusion(mix of Raging Cajun, Lemon Pepper, Garlic sauces), with medium hotness($ 36.95). The only difference between combinations is really whether you want crawfish, snow crab, or king crab for your money. We came, we bibbed, we attacked. Very generous helpings, an even mix of each type of seafood. I noticed that the pieces that were toward the bottom had more time to sit in the sauce and had more kick to it. I appreciate the bucket rather than just the bag, and it wasn’t too spicy for me to enjoy. Filling without being stuffed! Maybe that’s because I didn’t eat steamed rice with the meal. Two waters, ten napkins, and one wet-nap later, the bucket was conquered by halftime. One of my utensils had a salad leaf or something still on it from a previous use, but it was promptly replaced. Waters were constantly being refilled, which was nice. Bathrooms clean. Boxes if you need them to take home leftovers. Didn’t try any of the Asian noodle dishes this time around; too bad the Dealsaver deal ended in mid-May, otherwise I would have bought another one! Good humble little spot in Natomas for seafood boil without having to drive to South Sac!

Really good! We had egg rolls, garlic noodles and fish n chips. Everything was great, will definitely go back. We came right around 5PM and the service was excellent. Polite and quick to refill water. The food came out very quickly too. My one request would be for more healthy non-seafood items to be added to the dinner menu. A salad or at least a grilled chicken or tofu dish. I would come even more often if this was the case!

I went to dinner with 5 people including myself. We waited for 15 minutes and we didn’t get any service, so we raised our hands to ask for water. The waitress came over and said that the system was down and everyone’s order was missing. That shouldn’t be an excuse for not taking our order. There was at least 4 to 5 servers there. Finally we order our food which consist of a combination # 1& # 2, a dozen of oysters, and a garlic fries. It didn’t take too long to get our first appetizer. We ordered the garlic fries but we got the Cajun garlic fries. We got the combination 1&2. The sauce was really bland. I didn’t care for it at all. The corn center was really cold and tasted really bland too. Instead of getting our oysters before our main food, we got the oysters last. The oysters came in different sizes. None of them were the same. The oysters taste good with horseradish, chili sauce, Tabasco sauce, and lemon. That was really good! Overall I wouldn’t come here for just the appetizer only. The main dishes wasn’t great because of how bland everything tasted. The customer service wasn’t good because it took a long time for us to get any service. Sorry to say but I won’t be back here again!

Boyfriend and I ordered 2 lbs of shrimp, potatoes, sausages, and corn with the Raging Cajun flavor in medium spicy. The level of spiciness was on point. the sauce was just OK. I would much rather drive down to South Sac and get FIREHOUSE! LOL but we had a groupon deal which made it worth it. I must admit tho. even tho the sauce was just OK, their shrimps are juicy, plump, NOT overcooked. and they’re already de-veined! That means no sandy shrimp poop !! Extra stars for that. not too shabby.

Yes Boiling Crab and Firehouse are better than Asian N’ Cajun BUT, if you take it for what it is without comparison, 3.5 star food + 4 star service = 4 stars overall. When we saw the signage for Asian N’ Cajun go up, we were excited to find out there would be a seafood boil type place just 5 minutes from home. To our disappointment, after they opened the reviews for this place tanked. Still wanting to support local businesses, my husband bought the GroupOn for Asian N Cajun and we finally used it last week. We arrived around 7:15pm on Friday. As we walked in we noticed there were only two other tables filled. We thought, «Oh man, how is this place going to survive with only two tables on a Friday night?» But maybe it was still a little early because by the time we left, the restaurant was about half full. We decided to order Chicken Thai Lettuce Wraps and The Combo #1(Clams, Mussels, Shrimp, Sausage, Potato and Corn) in Fusion Sauce at level 2 spiciness. Although they got a little messy since the sauce was thin, my husband enjoyed the Thai Lettuce Wraps. He thinks if they had use ground meat instead of cut chicken the sauce would have been thicker but I think it may have just needed a little more cornstarch. I’m not sure what I was looking for but the Lettuce Wraps didn’t have the flavor I was looking for. I’m not sure what exactly I was looking for but it was different, maybe I’m just use to Chinese Wraps. Nonetheless, different doesn’t mean bad, they were good and filling. If you run out of lettuce wraps, don’t be afraid to ask for more lettuce. The Combo in Fusion sauce had good flavor and was not super salty as indicated in past reviews. Maybe they corrected that since they opened a few months ago. If you like your food spicy, I recommend bumping 2 – 3 levels above your usual order. We ordered our food at the second level(since I’m a pansy when it comes to spicy food) but it didn’t seem spicy at all. The service was excellent. We were seated as soon as we walked in and were served water right away. Our server was helpful with sauce recommendations and checked on us often. The food came out pretty quick. Since we live in Natomas and food was decent, I can see us returning to Asian N Cajun again.

Alright everyone… Happy holidays and happy early new year! After Christmas we were craving some crab, shrimp, and some fries!!! We usually go to firehouse crawfish or boiling crab but didn’t feel like driving out to south Sacramento so we decided to give it a try!!! The outside is decent with good lighting and parking is decent but can get busy since it shares it with another Asian restaurant, a hair salon, And a nail salon. We were greeted right away and was seated quickly. The waiter took our order and we thought everything was going to run smoothly. For the most part it did but there were some speed bumps! Speed bump 1: service is inconsistent and seem slow! We had 3 different workers check our order and made sure we got everything. Also, it took them forever to give me a damn bowl of warm butter for Me to dip my shrimp in. I freaking almost ate the whole damn pound before it came… And it wasn’t even HOT!!! Speed bump 2: food was decent but firehouse and boiling crab is better. Here, the shrimp was pretty good but the crabs we ordered were WAY to salty! The salt and pepper crab was like eating a bag of salt!!! The garlic sauce crab was slightly better BUT still too salty! The Cajun fries we had was good and was probably the best part of the meal! Speed bump 3: cleanness needs to improve… First off the bathroom wasn’t up to par… Floors were wet and in the sink was a long ass hair… And this was the men’s room!!! Nothing is grosser than wet floors when u are wearing your nice kicks and a long ass hair hanging in the sink when washing your hands! Lastly, the female employee was cleaning the table next to us and she was placing all the dirty dishes into the tub and she spilled it onto the booth and out came crab and shrimp juice leaking all over the booth next to us!!! And… She didn’t clean it right away!!! U kidding me? Overall, I may return if we don’t feel like driving to south Sacramento… but this place can sure use some improvement!!!

Great customer service! Fresh fresh seafood! Prices per lb are about a dollar better than the competition! Flavors are decent, the shrimp seasoning seemed a bit over salted to me, however they are on about day 5 of being open and have plenty of time to tweak the recipe a little bit! I have been to all three cajun seafood establishments in sacramento, this one and two in south Sacramento! This one ranks #2 to me. However this one is #1 to me in freshness, but #2 in flavor. I like that this one is located in a great area! Right behind Mel’s Diner on Truxel & Arena !! Their garlic cajun fries are amazing and have the perfect crunch! My dad said the fish and chips were pretty good and my son ate all of his chicken strips! Overall my experience was good, I will come back in a few months to see if they have improved from my first experience! This place is a must try as they serve very fresh seafood!
