Every thing I have ordered from Addison’s has been good. I have tried the Hawaiian rice plates and the sliders. I have no issues with the taste of the food. But when I take into account the prices I have paid for my lunches, it’s not quite worth it for me. I’ve ordered food from the truck, paid a hefty sum, and still felt a little hungry after my meals. For the prices I have paid, the portions could be a little bigger. After ordering a Loco Moco from the food truck, I realized I could have ordered a just as tasty Loco Moco with larger servings from a L&L or other restaurants that offer Hawaiian rice plates.

They got rid of the Pele. Everything else is disgusting. Waste of money. I was served stale old fries even though I was there right as they opened. Legit roach coach. Do not go

I think Rodney Dangerfield said it best when he stated«Tell the Chef this is low grade dog food». The food was dry and not seasoned, and the lady taking the orders was not very nice when answering questions about their offerings. I would say this place is a never go again, they may have got my 10 bucks today but at least I can warn some of you to give your money elsewhere.

Boy, oh boy… was I happy to see Addison’s Originals Food Truck on the weekly docket of food trucks that would be available for lunch at CalPERS last week! I always get excited when I can try a new food truck, as some of y’all out there may have noticed my slight addiction to them ;) And I get extra excited when it’s a food offering that I haven’t tried before… Hawaiian! Mmmmmm… First of all, you cannot miss this bright orange truck with swaying palm trees(I like to think they’re swaying in a warm tropical breeze) painted on it. Then, the aroma… the yummy, tempting scents eminating from this truck. I knew I was gonna be happy with whatever choice I made :) The menu was extensive, and it was hard for me to whittle it down to one choice for lunch, but since it was my first Addison’s rodeo, I went for the 3-pack of different sliders with fries, which set me back $ 11.50. You’ll have to forgive for not remembering all their names, but I loved the Molokai with its deliciously sweet mango marinade the most(though they were ALL scrumptious!). I also liked how they had their«accompaniments» area set up… lots of sauces from which to choose if you wanted/needed to «enhance» your items. Also easy to grab napkins and utensils, which is sometimes overlooked by other trucks I’ve frequented. It’s the little things, ya know?(that’s what she said) Anyway, I’m glad I started off with the sliders, but I’m looking forward to the next time Addison’s comes ’round CalPERS’ way so I can try a lunch plate combo… what’s more Hawaiian than a plate lunch for lunch? Mahalo and Aloha, Addison’s! :)
