Its like Mr. Chow and Pf Chang mix in a blender. Super Trendy and has a super cool vibe to it. Food is organic and made from Hong Kong Chefs. Good combinations of new wave Chinese Food. Creative menu with a twist on traditional chinese food. Staff is very friendly and very informative. Restaurant looks amazing and has a very trendy modern look.

Went here for lunch with my boyfriend on Friday to give Wuji a first time try. Service was absolutely wonderful. I believe our server’s name was Walter(what the receipt said) and he was personable, engaging, funny and did a fantastic job recommending dishes. We ordered the shrimp and also the pork dumplings which were very good. We also got the pepper beef which was delicious and the Cantonese noodles with shrimp(lacked some flavor but I still devoured). Walter did recommend the duck and by looking at it on the next table, we will most definitely order it the next time. I give service a 10 out of 5 and food was good but since my the noodles were a little lacking I would give the overall a 4 but we will definitely go back and hope for the same server.

My husband and I were seated at the bar at 7:00PM. Fifty minutes after ordering our food did not arrive. We were told having waited that there was an issue in the kitchen. It would have been nice to be informed of this before ordering. Hungry & tired we headed to Fogama where we were promptly served!! We certainly will not be returning to Wuji.

Food is average. It has all the latest Asian fusion items on the menu. We had duck, pork buns, some vegetables, some fried dumplings, and a couple of other random appetizers. Duck and buns were fine. But the fried stuff were over cooked. Service needs work. Really really needs work. But then it might be the kitchen’s fault with stuff not coming out in right order or timely. At least the cotton candy was a crowd pleaser… ha!

No stars would be more accurate! We called to order from what we thought was Hunan Gourmet but were told that they closed and this restaurant will be taking its place but they’re not opened yet, only doing delivery. Well we were disappointed but ordered anyway which unfortunately turned out to be even more disappointing. 1) Not only did the spare ribs cost $ 32 for 10, they were inedible and burnt to a crisp. There was no meat on them and whatever meat that was there was burnt! Just horrible. 2)The fried rice was literally mush and looked like oatmeal cereal. Again inedible! 3)The shrimp were raw and cold. Also not edible. I called to make a complaint about my order, which cost in all $ 151 and was told«I’m sorry you didn’t like the food.» I was then kept on hold for 25 minutes waiting for a manager. There was no effort made to rectify the situation. From beginning to end, it was a terrible experience. I will not be ordering from them ever again and suggest nobody else does either.

Truly mediocre fair. I took my daughter for lunch last week. She ordered an appetizer and I started with soup. They did not arrive together in fact we were informed that they serve«family» style meaning to share all dishes! How was I supposed to share my soup? They served the soup in a flat bottomed bowel so the Chinese spoon could not reach the bottom half of thee soup. The main courses were fried which was not described in the menu. Don’t bother

I never review but the food was inedible and the price is outrageous. This was our second experience doing take out. It’s crazy that you pre-pay with your credit card and speaks to a total lack of respect for the customer. Our first order, we liked the chicken spring rolls and the duck was just okay. Tonights order was a complete waste. Spicy fried rice — yuck! The sesame chicken was blend, over cooked and rubber. Not to mention the portion was child size. You anticipate for $ 24 they could at least fill the container. It had about 18 small pieces with a few pieces of bok choy. We are stinking to Sichuan Garden.

WHY!!! Wuji I wanted to love you, gave you 3 tries; but poor/rude/clueless service topped with lo-ooong wait times to receive mediocre food will not do. Lower Westchester is so in need of decent asian food. I love the concept of farm-to-table, fresh, organic food but they are missing the mark. Many dishes are greasy with green veggies put on top to make you think«healthy». If you don’t mind waiting an hour to get a table, another hour+ just to receive an appetizer give it try. Forget take-out though they never get an order right. On a positive note bartender is on point and remembers your drink of choice.

Pleasant combination of trend and quality. There are hundred of places to get Chinese food. This is the place you go with the intention to eat and drink. It is actually kind of sexy at night. They place the right soundtrack, with the right lighting. Food uses good Ingredients and you actually feel better after you eat it(even the pan fried stuff). Prices are in line to downtown rye so accept sticker shock. We live here so we will come back again.

So first off, the whole phone experience to put in a pick up order was just weird. We called and asked to put in an order and the guy said«hold on let me transfer you» which meant he put the phone down and someone else picked it up. Then we were forced to PRE-pay via credit card for a PICKUP order. Never in my life have I heard of that. We wanted to pay cash! Then we pick up, which consisted of 3 people to get the order, no communication at all, it was like they were over helping me. So all we ordered was two orders of the pork buns! I had to attach a picture because it literally looked like a child sat there and poked the buns. All 6 had finger pokes pushed into them, what??? I had to put a comparison pic from their website. I know good isn’t supposed to look exactly the same by my order looks TERRIBLE. The pork might as well have been loin instead of belly, it was so hard to bite, usually it’s supposed to be so tender. I have had plenty of pork buns in my day. the radish and cucumber was way too thick. The sauce was way too sweet. Just NOT impressed for a $ 9 app. I really want to retry this place but I am so nervous I’m just going to throw away money. Rye has a lot of competition, get your act together Wuji!

I went there for lunch today with work colleagues. We wanted to see what all the hype was about. The person who showed us to our table was very friendly, and so was our waiter. Unfortunately my Sesame Chicken was very bland. The other food was just OK nothing great. Also, don’t go there expecting lunch specials, the three of us had the half portion plates, a beer and a mixed drink, and the total was $ 85! Yikes!

I just placed my first order here for delivery and I’m sad to say it will be my very last. I am pleased with my food but the 100 minutes it took the arrive is absurd and certainly not worth it.

Sad to see them underserve such a loyal community. First visit: nice service but only okay food. Second chance: Moderate service and only okay good. Third strike and they’re out: twelve minute wait time to speak to someone to take our order for delivery and over 90 minutes until it was delivered. Food only okay. We live within a brief walking distance of this restaurant and will not be going there again. Ever.

My girlfriends and I went there the end of December. The atmosphere has a cool vibe to it and the location in Rye is perfect. Our Hostess was very helpful and accommodated us straight away. The food was wonderful. It was a wonderful evening. Recommendation for Wuji: 1 — offer Lychee Martinis 2 — No gum allowed for wait staff. The restaurant opened up the first week of December. I think they have made a great restaurant in the heart of Rye. Definitely we will be going back!

Been hearing a lot about this place and was excited for it to open since we eat out a few times a week and we are always looking for new, good asian food in the area. What a disappointment. The ONLY positive things I can say about our experience: The server– he was very kind, attentive, and seemingly felt bad about our disappointment. The portions are generous Ok with family-style of service, where items come out from the kitchen as they are prepared. Ideal for sharing. The food, however, was not good at all. Let’s get over the«Farm to Table» cliché, please. If the food is the quality they say it is, 1– dishes would not be priced as is(affordable for the portion size); and 2– have such an overwhelming, unpleasant prevalent flavor of something unidentifiable. I am totally vegetarian and had to ask the server and then the manager to ask the chef if he used chicken stock or some type of seafood seasoning in the veggie dishes. My dining partner ordered non-veggie items(a chicken dish and a shrimp dish), and he confirmed that his dishes had this same«flavor». Our conclusion… MSG. This nasty flavor lingered on our tongues, and actually made my tongue tingle. As mentioned, the manager was well aware of our discontent. I tried to eat more of my dish, but simply could not. We wasted ¾ of our meal, and she never returned to apologize or see if there was anything she could do. For a new restaurant trying to establish a client base, this is unacceptable and unprofessional. Look at these reviews and make some changes. If you set out to offer a «quality“experience, figure out how to do so. But in reality, with the number of venues set to open, I see Wuji as nothing but another chain. And not one I will EVER revisit.

How unreasonable– wanted to place a take out order– was kept on hold for nearly 10 minuets, then the person on the phone took my phone number, my first name, and then insisted on having my last name– umm this is a take out order not a reservation! Finally I was able to place my order and hung up, only to be called back asking for payment info. Hello, its a take out order– nope they wanted a credit card to place the order, guess they never heard of cash or are so cash strapped they need money in the door asap??? Any way at this point I had enough– good bye Wuji I’ll do my take out from the 6 other Asian themed restaurateurs located in Rye! How ridiculous!!!

Went with 2 friends and sat at the bar. Food was fresh and had great flavors. Not your usual Chinese cuisine of over sugared msg fare here! Farm to table Asian concept is a nice idea. The staff was just ok — the hostess didn’t smile an just sat there wrapping herself up in her sweater. The bartender was knowledgeable and friendly but his service trailed off as the restaurant got busier. Had to ask for a second glass of wine. We were excited to see what was offered for dessert but we’re not given the chance. The check was given to us without asking for it or the offer of dessert. Luckily they give out cotton candy(cute idea) after the check so I did get my sugar fix after all. Will try one more time — maybe they will have a new manager by then.

We ordered take out from here and it was not a good experience. We called several times getting bounced around then disconnected before deciding to drive to the restaurant to place our order. The greeting we received by the two hostesses was not very welcoming. We explained the difficulties we had trying to place our order over the phone and the explanation was that they were really busy and short staffed. Fine, but it was 5:45 and only a quarter of the tables in the restaurant were occupied. We were told our order would be ready in an hour which it was. The food was decent, better than average take out Chinese food but far from remarkable(good-spicy fried rice and chef joe’s dragon chicken /bad-pork buns).

Very disappointing. Service was horrible and food is not good. Ordered two appetizers: Pork steam buns — worst I have ever had, Calamari Salad — so so but wrong mix of greens for this type of dish. Entrees took so long we actually had to cancel our order and leave the restaurant. The excuse we were given is that they had too many take outs orders…

I waiting in great anticipation for this place to open Unfortunately my experience was a total disappointment. Let’s start with the wine. way overpriced $ 10.00for a malbec that should be maybe 6 bux. Steamed dumplings were like rubber. overcooked noodles… crab Rangoon tastes like it came from the freezer section at costco… chicken had no flavor… they call it farm to table and charge prices foe farm to table but this is not table food. For Asian food I will stick to fogama down the road.

Service was terrible. Ordered three appetizers and each one was served separately for some odd reason. Had to ask our waiter to check on the last of the appetizers because it was taking so long. and it was only a calamari salad. Speaking of the salad, it was tiny. The waiter suggested we share everything yet the salad was barely enough for one person. The entrees left much to be desired. Duck was just OK. I was expecting China White standards but it didn’t even come close. Rice was good. Could have done without the lomein… Noodles were broken and bite-size. Ambiance was good but could have used a little greenery. Overall, disappointing and overpriced. Hope Greenwich location is better.

Our waitress was just okay, the other waiters seemed to all be much more friendly and open then she was. My husband and children had the spare ribs which where good, the lo mein was way too greasy, the lobster rice too bland. It was just okay, nothing to get excited about.

NICE!!! Watch out Water Moon… There’s a new Sheriff in town and his name is Wuji. We had an awesome waiter. Very handsome gent with model looks who couldn’t have been more accommodating. Food fresh, inventive and delicious!

Much welcomed new addition to the restaurant scene on Purchase Street. Wuji offers an excellent selection of fine organic Chinese food at reasonable prices. The menu is both creative and traditional. The staff are welcoming, informative and well trained. All in all a good dining experience. I would give this restaurant five stars but I found the tables a little small. Will definitely be back again soon.
