I came here after getting a recommendation from a local (I was in the area on vacation). While the haircut I got was fine, the customer service was unbelievably bad.
My hair stylist greeted me on time but then spent 30+ minutes selling shampoos to her (indecisive) previous customer. They also don’t seem to have a person who works the front desk because then I spent another 10 minutes waiting for my hairstylist to book appointments 3 months out for her client’s whole family. Essentially, I was seen for my haircut 45 minutes late because the hairstylist thought it better to sell shampoo and schedule future appointments than actually adhere to the appointments in her schedule. The haircut wasn’t bad but I just can’t recommend this place — go elsewhere.

After trying several times, and by several I mean 5, to speak with someone about hair and makeup services for my wedding I gave up. Nobody was ever available to speak to me by phone and all of my emails and Facebook messages were never returned. After making such a poor first impression and not handling new clients well I decided to go elsewhere. Don’t waste your time, find somewhere else!

I have had my hair cut by Jackie since before she opened her own place. She has always done a great job with my hair regardless of the stupid ways I decided to wear it, like the Gene Shallot look or the Steven Segal long hair look.
Her staff is trained very well. They always greet me when I walk in the door and ask if I would like some coffee or water or if they can get me anything. The staff also has a good sense of humor and make my time there very enjoyable. While I have sometimes had one if the trainees wash my hair, I have never had one cut it, and I am happy to offer the newer girls a chance to learn.
The staff or Jackie always ask if I need product, but I never feel as though they are trying to push it on me. As a matter of fact I like the reminder, as sometimes I forget.
You can read reviews all day long and get a lot of different opinions, but you never know what is behind some of the comments, so I would suggest you try «Shear Heaven» and make the decision for yourself. I, for one, am sure you will not be disappointed.

I have been a customer of Jackie’s for several years now. She always has suggestions for changes or services that I might benefit from. I always have the choice of whether or not to follow through with those suggestions. Her staff is well trained and stay current with the latest techniques and styles. Nothing better than a glass of wine at the end of the day while being pampered. Are there places you can pay less? Certainly, but, as with many things… you get what you pay for! There are few stylists I would give «carte blanc» to and still be proud to show my face in public and declare who was responsible. Jackie and her staff will accommodate your wishes or give you a great make-​over that suits you more than you expect. It’s your call.

This location is very expensive. The people are nice enough but there is certainly the scent of inflated egos in the air. The stylists don’t really seem to listen or communicate well. They seem more interested in what they think is best for you as opposed to what you actually want. Every time I went I always walked out disappointed and I know many other people who feel the same way.

I don’t often get to Rutland anymore, but this is one stop I make every chanceI get. There’s nothing more relaxing that a massage that’s done right, and the therapists here are all so good. Atmosphere is calming and no one is hurried. I’m looking forward to having my hair cut and styled a well since I won’t be going home for awhile. So good to find a place of this calibre in the area.
