El Toro

Since Ruston doesn’t have many Mexican restaurants, my boyfriend and I decided to give El Toro a try last night.
Let me say, the service was a notch above the rest!!! Very attentive and caring. Another thing, the food came out QUICK. The servers wanted to make sure we had a good experience and that we were well taken care of. This is a M A J O R improvement compared to the other local popular Mexican restaurant (I will not name names).
But with that being said, the food left me wanting more. We both ordered the rice covered with a protein of choice and queso. It was good. We ate it. However, El Toro will not be a place I crave or go out of the way for.
Give it a try for yourself! You will appreciate the service and perhaps find a better dish to try!

The waiter was very rude. He didn’t understand and English. I asked about the menu and he couldn’t explain any of their food. The food was slopped together and when I got my check. The waiter had charged me twice the price of my food. Very unprofessional.

Good service, great price and good food too. It’s at the corner on Service road off freeway. Worth a visit :)
