TOTALDIVEBAR! You get five stars for these reasons: cheap drinks, STRONG drinks, friendly faces behind the bar, seemingly clean place! I’ve heard so many stories of this place, as I borrowed my friend’s cabin, which is walking distance of this bar. I was expecting a down and dirty filthy mess, it wasn’t so! Older gal behind the bar, you’re sweet, and so adorable. They had a cozy fire going, games on all four of their TVs, and hey! A local fella even gave us his pitcher of Budweiser beer ;) Will be back when I come back up! Worth stopping in for some local loving.

Great dive bar. The green chili burritos are to-die-for(the red chili burritos are really good too!). The burritos alone are worth the stop at Fireside. Chili burritos. Did I mention the chili burritos?

My hubby and I always come here on Friday night for a good time! We are never disappointed and love to meet with all the other locals. Yes you might have to pay for jukebox music but shuffle board is free. & if you get hungry and order pizza from Neo’s-they will deliver it to the bar! Good stuff!

When your clutch overheats on the way up to Big Bear to visit the in-laws, it is a sign from a benevolent God that you make it exactly this far up the hill and park it in front of the Fireside while the clutch cools and the traffic relaxes. Great neighborhood bar, fire in the grate, cheap drinks, friendly to flatlanders.

This is my first time in Running Springs and I came to a bar called the fireside. This place is amazing, strong drinks, best Bloody Marys, and a dope ass bartender name ray. Definitely a place to treat check out. Great bar great prices.

If your looking to get drunk then this is the place to go, if you want anything else go to a bar that gives a crap =) There is NO music unless you pay for it and the very drunk locals will bother you if you act interested in their blabber. The coolest part about this place is you can bring food over from the coffee shop next door and they will let you eat at the bar.

I rented a house in Green Valley Lakes for a bachelorette party. We needed a night out and came here. When ten women walk into a bar one tends to get a little attention. The bartender was totally cool and took care of us all night, and all our shenanigans. Their were quite a few characters but we enjoyed taking over the pool table, shuffle board and the dart board. We were having a scavenger hunt take place in the bar and many of the regulars, Richard mostly, were team players. If I ever come back to Green Valley Lakes for a stay and I have the opportunity to go out, this would be by Cheers.

Interesting little place, definately a local hang out. Drinks were ok, not very strong. Issue I had was running a tab. Seemed there were a few extra drinks on there that no one at my table ordered. Not going to argue with the lady at the bar, $ 30 bucks here or there are not worth the trouble. Just learned, pay cash by the drink next time.

Went here after a nightmare dinner @ another local spot. We genuinely had a good time! Drinks were good and inexpensive! We will come back for more.

Great local Pub! I’ve been going there since 1991 and it’s still the same locals hang out it’s ever been. Not fancy but comfortable, fun with a healthy poor.

The only reason this bar gets any stars is because of the cheap drinks. I stayed with my mom up in Running Springs for a couple weeks, and growing up here, and now being that I am over 21, I thought I should check out the one bar in town. I’ve gone here several times with different people, and every time is a rather… interesting experience. You either always a.) since I’m from here, run into someone that you went to school with or b.) get harassed by the local drunkards that claim to have been there since 11am. Another plus, there is a free shuffle board table, which is a lot of fun, a juke box, and a pool table.

Such a dive… LOL thats why I love it. Was at the spot this weekend for some upkeep, and always have to stop off at the Fireside. It was Saturday ngiht and the place at 10pm was just about empty, we ordered a round and took over the jukebox then proceeded to play pool and have fun, its almost like drinking with your buddies at home. Around 11:30 the locals started shufflin in and everyone is very friendly which makes a good atmosphere we really enjoyed, at the end of the night we all had a nice buzz and celebrated our very cheap tab with a round of patron and headed back to the spot to sleep it off… see you next time Fireside…

Total local dive bar! Can you say podunk? The little bar dramas that go on here are fantastic. So authentic. LOL Don’t come here expecting anything other than what it has to offer, and have a great time. People are friendly and drinks are cheap.

«You Are Now Being Served At The Altitude Of 6055 ft!» Yup in the semi-sleepy town of Running Springs, finally made it to the Fireside. Walked in to find a totally drunk dude talkin’ politics to other patrons at the bar. Then another person who was three sheets came in and talked about how much cat poop stinks. Love it. There are a few brews on tap, and we had a round and just enjoyed the ambiance. It’s a dark lounge-type bar – a locals bar. There is, in fact, a fireplace inside(must be cozy when in the winter). Oh, and there is also this other thing right at the entrance. It’s a big windowed box about 7′ tall with a huge telephone inside of it. Now, what are these things? Must be an antique.
