This place was great. Food was amazing and their menu has almost anything you could want. It is BYOB so keep that in mind if you want wine

Went here for a surprise birthday party. Great food and atmosphere. It was a small party — about 15 people, but the owner put together a custom menu. It is BYOB, but they have glasses, and they were happy to let us bring in a cake for the occasion. Overall, a great experience. I hope to go back and see what else they have on their full menu!

I love this place. The food is delicious, portions are large, and prices are extremely fair. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and very clean. Staff is also wonderful. Awesome little local place I would recommend all day.

I dined here last week and was really surprised how bad the food was compared to the positive reviews. It’s the definition of bland Italian food. The sauce was so watery that I imagine it’s the type of place that cooks the pasta and pours sauce over it on the plate, which is pretty much exactly how not to cook a pasta dish. Taste was also disappointing. The meatballs were, I suspect, frozen. The garlic knots tasted stale. If you just want some really average Italian, this is your place. Prices tended to be on the higher side for what you get. Service was good. No chance I would return.

So this place has changed hands on several occasions. Now it’s an Italian restaurant. I have been here several times and each time is different from the first. Today the chef and I assume owner was talking with some people at a table discussing«closing this location and moving it to NJ in a heartbeat». Something every patron wants to hear before they are ready to dine. The lack of confidence in his limerick location made me wonder about the meal we were about to eat. The waitress was great and very attentive to our every need. She had a very friendly and personable attitude They did a great job making the place look rustic and stand out. It gives a low light dining experience but not to low as to make it hard to see around. The tables aren’t to close together and yet not screaming distance from each other. The menu is large with many items to choose from. The prices range medium on the expensive scale but the amount of food you get is a lot. I got the chicken parm and it’s actually a pretty big, but thin piece of premium chicken. They give you the option of sides, I took the spaghetti and salad. If you are the type that loves a lot of food this place is for you. They have a take out menu, for example their hoagies and steak sandwiches come in 18 inch sizes. Which for me the second half I would save for the next day. Overall a pretty decent experience, as to how long this place will stay remains to be seen.

This place has always been hit or miss. The food is good… if you can get it. Service ranges from fine to horrible. Last night I went here to celebrate my birthday with my family. I called at 8:05 to find out when they closed. I was told 8:30 for dinner and 9:00 for takeout. After we hung up I wanted to clarify that they seated until 8:30, because we did not want to be an inconvenience for a server wanting to leave. So I called back. The same woman that answered the first time confirmed that, yes, they SEAT until 8:30. Normally we would not go if they were closing, but since they stay open for takeout until 9:00, and I confirmed TWICE at 8:05 that they were still seating for another 25 minutes, we thought coming would be OK. We arrived between 8:15 and 8:20 and were sent away. Kitchen is closed. She stated that they stop seating at 8:30. I let the hostess know that I just called and spoke to her to confirm the time and she looked at the clock. Saw it was not yet 8:20 and checked with the kitchen who said no to seating us. Because it was a Monday, it’s location being close to home, but in the opposite direction of other restaurants open on Mondays, and the time of night, our options were limited by the time wasted going there. We ended up at Olive Garden for my birthday dinner. We won’t be back, because of this and other bad experiences we have had with this place,(there are many, but we kept hoping it would get better so we could enjoy the food). It’s a shame, because the food is good when you do have the rare opportunity to get it without mistakes and delays.

My favorite local restaurant. I grew up eating homemade Italian food so I’m pickier than most when I go to an Italian restaurant, but Trattoria Italiana is excellent! My favorite thing to order is a baked pasta dish either Castelli or Rustalini style. Mmm I’m getting hungry just writing this! Also try to save room for one of their sorbets for dessert, the coconut one is delicious.

Visited a few times now, and I am impressed! Nice freshly made dishes. I really like the tortellini with alfredo sauce. Good meatballs. They use real garlic in their dishes and not just garlic powder. Tasty garlic knots. Nice side salad and dressing. Waitresses are friendly and provide good service. Great place!

When I find something I like, I typically order it every single time I go to a place. That’s where I am with the Calamari Fra Diavlo here. An exceptional dish, cooked just right and served over angel hair pasta. Friendly staff, good prices, great food!

What a great find! On the last leg of my road trip from Pittsburgh, we stopped to eat in Royersford. We came upon Trattoria Italiana from Unilocal reviews. My friend and I shared the calamari, it was good but nothing amazing. I ordered a 14″ pizza with«the works». You can customize with 5 toppings, I went with grilled chicken, peppers, roasted peppers, onions and eggplant. It was super delicious! In addition to the fabulous cuisine and large portions, our waitress was super friendly and right on top of things! The restaurant appeared to be new or recently renovated, the décor(especially the bathrooms) looked fresh with a modern twist. They also had a lot of windows so even though it is a small restaurant, it felt open and airy.

If you love garlic, this is the place you! Unfortunately I do not. I don’t mind if well cooked into food. Went Saturday, crowded but got seated promptly without reservation. Had pasta dish with Fra Diablo sauce. There was about 3 garlic cloves thinly slice, the consistency of canned mushrooms, in the sauce. The food is cooked to order so it’s my fault for not saying easy on the garlic, but That’s a lot of garlic for any dish. I spent 2 weeks in Italy and never actually smelt or tasted garlic in anything. My dad always said«good food does not need garlic», I’ll modify that and say that Garlic is fine if well cooked into the good so you don’t have to still taste it an hour after your meal. The espresso and tiramisu were excellent.

The food was great and very proportional! I took so much food home and it was great after heating it up again. The service wasn’t such a great experience because she was very slow and didn’t even introduce herself. Just asked us if we wanted drinks. The rolls came out with our dinner and I thought it was an appetizer but they were awesome!!! This place has great Italian food so I would recommend it just wish the service was more friendly and attentive.

My new favorite Italian restaurant in the area. I’d give them five stars, but I was kind of disappointed that the takeout experience was different than the dine-in. I was given a small piece if stale bread instead of their Garlic Knots, simply because my order was takeout. In addition, the kids Chicken Fingers was supposed to come with a fountain drink — it didn’t. I ordered the Zuppa di Pesce — pretty darn good. Sadly, there was some grit, no doubt due in part to poor cleaning of the mussels and clams. The Chicken Fingers were delicious — no doubt homemade! The homemade Mozzarella Sticks were fantastic as well. If they could get past the penny pinching with takeout, and clean the seafood a bit more thoroughly — I’d be a regular.

Traveling for business and feeling like Italian. Fellow Unilocalers got it right! Great little restaurant! Relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff here. Wanted to try the baked lasagna but they were out. I actually appreciate that they don’t mass– produce and if it’s not fresh, they don’t offer it that night. I respect that for sure. Ordered the chicken parm instead. Very tasty! It’s obvious that the ingredients are fresh and properly hand made. Prices are extremely reasonable and portions plenty big. Definitely worth checking out. My only regret is that they’re 1, 000 from my home!

This is one of the best spots to eat in this area. None of the food feels processed like other Italian restaurants. We typically eat of the pasta menu’s and love it!

Great food and excellent service at good prices. Huge menu with tons of options to select from. Lots of people mention the wait time for food being an issue but they have notices plastered all over the place mentioning how everything is cooked to order. If you want fast food Italian go to Olive Garden. My only complaint is that my salad dressing was really watery as was the salad. Lletsbe realistic though I didn’t come here for the salad. Besides that, this place was excellent and I recommend it to everyone.

Popped in here, since it’s in a prime location by the Giant/Target in Royersford. My oh my, were the fiancée and I impressed. Great ingredients in their pizza and veal parm sandwich. Nice, cozy atmosphere + BYOB makes for a great dinner. Marion was an absolute revelation as our waitress. Knew the whole menu inside and out(and that’s saying something, for the size of this menu), and could reccomend with ease. She was prompt, attentive, witty, and was even handling some duties outside of what I remember doing as a waiter back in the day. Haven’t had a waitress like that in quite some time, and she should be commended for her excellent service!

Fantastic! Best chicken parm I’ve ever had! My wife loved the vodka sauce too. Our server Jade was great too. We’ll definitely be back!

The food is great and a lot to choose from, all fresh. Friendly service and the restaurant is very clean, with outdoor seating. BYOB… and family owned. It is so nice to finally have a place to go that isn’t a chain. Pasta, seafood, pizza, you name they have it and I bet if you ask, you can order just about anything. They will accommodate you to make sure you leave happy! They have been open a week and we have been three times!

We decided to try this place on opening day, which my wife wasn’t too thrilled about. It wasn’t long before she was giving me the evil eye and basically saying«I told you so» and I was beginning to think she was right, but fortunately the entrees helped turns things around a bit. This location has been a few different restaurants over the years and it used to be an Italian restaurant. The place doesn’t look all that different than what it did when it was Mama Velia’s. It’s not a very big place, offers outdoor seating(weather permitting), and offers take-out. Note that this is also a BYOB. When we arrived for dinner, there was a guy standing behind the counter and he barely even greeted us. Sadly, he turned out to be our waiter for the evening. I think this might have been his first time being a waiter. He had no personality(maybe just nervous), and didn’t really know the menu. When he brought out my kids drinks, he brought my 7-year old’s in a child friendly paper cup with lid, but gave my 2-year old a real glass with no lid. My wife ordered tea, and much to our surprise, he came back and said they were out. Seriously? Out of tea on opening night! My wife was pretty much ready to leave by this point, but we proceeded to order. The menu is quite extensive with pasta dishes, pizzas, hoagies, cheesesteaks, grilled specialty sandwiches, soups, salads, Italian classics, Seafood entrees, etc. There is also a child’s menu with simple pasta dishes and things like chicken fingers, grilled cheese, hamburger, etc. We wife went with the baked lasagna while I went with chicken fettuccine. My wife got a salad, but the waiter failed to mention to me that mine came with one as well. Kids went with grilled cheese and chicken fingers. While we waited for our food, we noticed all of the other tables had bread, but we did not. He did eventually bring out the garlic knots, but I was wondering if he had simply forgotten because people who came in after us had their garlic knots. Sadly, the knots were not to our liking as they were seriously doused in garlic. My wife’s salad came out and she said it wasn’t all that great. It was nothing special and felt watered logged. The kids entrees came out first, which we are OK with. My entrée came out a few minutes later and then my wife’s a few minutes after that. Not sure why her’s and mine didn’t come out together. I think she was hoping her entrée would be bad so that I would have to make this up to her, but surprisingly, she really liked it. You can certainly tell that it was homemade sauce. As for my chicken fettuccine, it was pretty good, but I’ve had better at other local Italian restaurants. The pasta dish came with three very thin pieces of chicken. I would have preferred the chicken to be cut up and mixed in with my pasta. The dessert menu was limited but we went with the homemade mini cannoli. They weren’t kidding when they say«mini». It was easily bite sized and way overpriced for what you got. Taste was just OK. Again, we’ve had better elsewhere. I really went back and forth between giving this place 2 or 3 stars. I do think some of our disappointment was related to our waiter. Our entrees were good, with my wife’s being better than mine and our kids(both picky eaters) said they really liked their meal. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and go with 3 stars seeing as it was opening night and all. I will probably try them one more time in a few months, but as of now, it’s not a place I would necessarily crave to go back to. There are at least two other local Italian places that we like better, with one of those places also being a really great value.
