Pediatric Associates Royal Palm Beach

This place has the worst receptionist (or whom ever they are at the front) ever. Everyone knows that children get sick at the «last minute», there is no way to anticipate when your child will be sick. I have gone to this location 3 times in the last month with my sick infant and all 3 times they have turned me away with a snark remark of «You don’t have an appointment, we can’t see her.» I will never take my child, nor recommend anyone to this place again.

Absolutely terrible. The staff is mean, obnoxious and rude! They overbook and keep you waiting. I have 2 insurances for my kids & they refused to take my secondary because it was coming up as primary & proceeded to charge me. I was so mad when I left there that I didn’t notice my sons physical paper was not filled out, so I called them to tell them I needed a the form for him to go back to school and they tried to charge me $ 3 when they should have gave it’s me in the first place. The doctors are really good unfortunately the staff lacks experience.

I have only had good experiences with this location. I have two children under the age of 3. Never have issues with making an appointment with the same doctor for consistency. Usually don’t have to wait that long. Any wait at a doctor’s office is expected. It’s a clean and friendly environment. Dr. Rodriquez is who we see and he is very thorough. I mostly like that fact that if Dr. Rodriquez wasn’t available we could still be seen the same day with another competent doctor. It’s unfortunate not everyone has had the same experience as us.

I think this place is probably as bad as it gets for a pediatrician. We scheduled an appointment to get our two month old vaccines, and they refused to give them, instead suggesting me make an additional appointment 3 days later to get the shots. We also had a 7:45AM appointment and waited until 8:30AM to see someone. Finally, the walls are bare, rooms are tiny and cramped, and it smells of cleaning solution and is not a comfortable place to take children. In all honesty, it looks more like a vets office than the pediatricians. Finally, the front desk was remarkably unhelpful. Unless you have unlimited time and do not care about quality of treatment I would not recommend this office.

Dr Rodriguez is a wonderful Dr and has been seeing my son since birth, however the front desk staff are morons and rude, inarticulate, and need to all be fired, especially Tamika? Amika? Shamika? Some «ika» named girl. I stay for Dr. Rodriguez otherwise I would have left years ago. 5 stars for Dr. R.

I have to say that dr Rodriguez is great, but the front office has no idea how to be polite. The nurse practitioner is mean, nasty prepotent, and unpleasant. There is one nurse that is so sweet and nice to us but that’s where it ends. If you have the opportunity to change doctors, don’t hesitate to do so.

I have been using Dr Chan for 20 years. He is a fabulous pediatrician. He is very thorough, patient and gentle mannered with children. He has always taken the time to make sure all of your questions are answered and that you understand the direction he gives you. In years past I moved to Broward for several years yet stayed with Dr Chan. He is a wonderful person as well as a fantastic doctor.
In regard to scheduling and wait times as the previous review mentioned, occasionally (in the last two decades) we have experienced waits that are longer than desired. However I caulk it up to parents and/​or children with serious situations that require more attention than expected or (worse) an emergency situation.
Anytime I have experienced an issue I feel is important enough to me, I discuss it with Dr Chan and he will address it if need be.

I wish there was a lower rating than one star, that is an overstatement.
I don’t know where or who these people are who rated this place excellent in the last two weeks on google, seems oddly suspicious to me that the only reviews are 5, in two weeks, all excellent… I smell paid fluff.
I would say that the doctors are ok at this practice but what really is awful is the systematic overscheduling. I’ve never spent less than an hour to reach an exam room then once in the exam room, I’ve spent any where from 10 to 25 more minutes waiting for the doctor to show up AFTER the nurse has done her work.
Just awful scheduling, today I got fed up with it, after waiting for an hour and 30 minutes to be seen by the doctor, I walked out. When I called back to re-​schedule, the scheduling person was rude and tried to schedule me for a 1:45 appt… I’m like really? so I told you I was fed up with your scheduling and I’m not waiting more than 20 minutes 30 tops, you want me to come in at a mid day appointment? I almost asked if the person was retarded. why would you schedule a person who obviously fed up with the systematic scheduling abuse with a time that isn’t possibly going to be met? why not first thing in the morning?
AWFUL, thats the only thing I can say about this office. I’ve been going to this doctor since my child was 6 months old and now he’s 2, I’m switching to anyone else due to awful service at this office. I’ve just reached the last straw with scheduling and abuse of my time.
ps. read the filtered review, it is absolutly accurate and I have no idea why it is filtered… it shouldn’t be, all true!
