Having grown up in Utah and not having a lot of hot dog options, I was very reluctant to go here. That being said, what a surprise! Everything from the chili, beans, and buns is homemade. The owner is super friendly and helpful. The Sonora dog is not to be missed. I agree it is a little hard to find, but well worth the search.

The staff is very friendly! They have high quality hot dogs, made from great ingredients. Their buns are made fresh every day and they are so soft and tasty! They found out it was our first time and offered a small cup of custard with caramel, it is fantastic.

We found this one day when we were lost. It’s really hard to find, but a treasure once you do! I had the reuben dog and couldn’t even finish it. Wonderful food! I’d highly recommend it for the hot dog aficionado.

Definitely THEBEST Chicago Dog that I have EVER had! Will definitely be making the trip for these dogs more often. My husband had to wait just slightly longer than the rest of us and they hooked him up with a bigger and better dog. Great service!

Softest buns around! Good flavor, meaty beef dogs. Fast service, very friendly. Seems family owned. It’s hard to find though, small signs but their main advertisement is the name on the entire side of a car very cool. We enjoy our hot dogs no matter which one we get, there’s a lot of different ways to choose from. Good place to come for a cheap but good lunch. Each dog is about $ 5 but they’re huge!!! One always does it for me.

Like a gustatory G Spot, ‘That Hot Dog Place in Roy’ can be hard to find, but extremely satisfying if you succeed. I started with a Texas Chili-Cheese Dog, a Sanora Dog, and a bag of Cheetos(pic). Very nice. Wanting more, I ordered a Chicago Dog(pic). Classic. There are many things to like about this place. Expert balance of meat, condiments, and bread. The buns are terrific, with perfect texture and taste. There are various sizes of franks, from cute small ones about five inches long, to mammoth half pounders. They have giant containers of lemonade and unsweetened tea so I can mix my own Arnold Palmer, as well as a cooler full of speciality sodas. I like the dive-like atmosphere. I absolutely will be back. I gotta try that Reuben Dog. I wish they had fries. Still, for quality meat in tube form, ‘That Place’ is The Place.

This place was(as their sign even says) hard to find, but their prices and quality definitely made up for it. I rolled in 5mins before they closed(didn’t know they closed at 7 and I wasted time trying to find the place). They didn’t show any irritation and happily served me. My husband had the Texas dog and I had the Chicago. Their bun… oh their buns, so good! So fresh! The hotdogs? Perfect! And the overall deliciousness? Still perfect. The restaurant itself was very cute and different. I liked it. Definitely recommend.

Pain to get to? Yep. Pain to park? Yep. Worth it? …mostly yep. The interior and drink selection(they really take pains to avoid HFCS, so good on them there) are overall kind of a wash. Not a bunch of tables, but mostly serviceable inside, if you’re staying. I wasn’t. Very few sugar free choices. Sides? You don’t need any stinking sides, so forget about those also. You’re here for the dogs, amirite? If you’re here at all, you are. These are not like the dogs at Johnny Beefs or J-Dawgs or even the mighty Nathan’s so best to get that right out of your head. If anything, they remind me a lot of a mix between a 7 – 11 dog(this is complimentary, as I like those) and maybe the Beef’s, but not quite up to a Nathan’s. Anyone who eats these I just mentioned regularly will know what I mean. Sauerkraut needs improvement. The dog I had with cheese on it was kind of awful overall. Buns are great, in all cases. The dog with pastrami was ok. If you combined the one with BBQ sauce, which was also excellent, maybe the best I’ve had outside of actual BBQ joints, with the pastrami, you’d have something. Skip the bacon, though. Texturally, it just doesn’t work with the dog well. This place is something special, hence, the ratings and me giving it 4 stars, even though it was overall really kind of flawed. I didn’t get to the ice cream, but I imagine it would be interesting, given their huge push to quality. This is out of the way for nearly everything, but once you find it, definitely you’ll be happy you did.

One of best dog places I have been to in Utah. For a hot dog place 5 stars. I got the Chicago #11th and Giuseppe dog #21st. Both were great. My wife got the Texas Chili cheese dog and loved it as well. She did not share so I will take her word for it. But she did look like she enjoyed it. Next time I will try them with a polish dog. They have 5 different types for hot dogs to choose from. You might want to bring your own drinks. They only have sodas in glass bottles(except diet coke). It is a little expensive… the the dog are a good price though.

Let me be frank here, no bun intended. This place makes a dog gone good dog(I’d like to buy an «O» Alex.) Several styles of goodness in a variety of dogs(small, large, Polish, ½ pound, and brat) give you plenty of choices and a way to ketchup on your Worldly hot dog flavors. All served on fresh baked buns. The pricing is nothing to get steamed about and you should relish the opportunity to try the different dogs on the menu.

This place is amazing, we go there all the time. I work across the street and my husband will drive from Layton to meet me there for lunch. Definitely off the beaten path, but so worth it. My personal favorites are the Carolina Slaw, Reuben and the NY dog. I like the small size, the dog/bread/topping ratio is perfect. Also if I’m especially hungry I can get 2 smalls and have 2 different kinds :) The custard there is really amazing, we really like the raspberry topping. Love that they have the glass bottles/cane sugar sodas in the case too. Staff is very friendly. If going around lunch with only a limited time, I recommend calling ahead, there is always large groups coming in.

Okay so after reading all of these reviews I had to go check this place out. I am SO glad I did! It was without a doubt the best polish dog I have had! My extremely picky kids even ate it! Let me put it this way, if I was having a heart attack while eating this, I would finish it before I called 911, and if I died I would be super sad that I left it behind. Amazing customer service!

This place is great. Just can’t get enough of their amazing dogs, lemonade, and bottled lime rickeys. This is my 8 year old sons favorite place to eat.

First off, like everyone else says its a little hard to find but once you have found it you will never be able to unfind it(fact), I had the Ruben dog and let me say to those who like sauerkraut and pastrami you will be happy this was some of the most potent sauerkraut I have ever smelt or delt and it was amazingly, i am still full as I write this review and can’t wait until I go back… Very pleased

Definitely hard to find but don’t give up! Being a Wisconsin native custard is something I miss the most. So glad to have a place that reminds me of home so close! I also love the Green Bay brat. Worth the trip off the beaten path!

So this place is hard to find. Unless you know where you are going. We tried Chicago Dog. Carolina Slaw Dog. Texas Chili Cheese Dog. And the New York Kraut Dog. All were delicious. The half pound dog was huge. So come hungry. Restaurant and bathrooms were both clean. They only have bottled drinks and freshly made lemonade and tea. No fountain drinks.

This place is not easily located. Nor is it sparkling clean. And they could really benefit from installing a soda fountain/dispenser… But it will make a hot-dog lover out of anyone. We took our kids & ate lunch there one day. It was hot dog heaven! The hot dog buns are made from scratch, fresh-every day! That Hot Dog Place has every right to brag about their buns. They are that good. We ordered: a Carolina slaw, Reuben, & Bacon BBQ& onion. Also plain hot dogs for the kids. All of them were delectable. My favorite was the bacon BBQ& onion. Bacon makes everything better. The few drawbacks about this place aren’t enough to deter me from going back, OR from giving it less than 5 stars.

Okay, it is out if the way. But the hot dogs are great. They make their own buns so they are very soft. The hot dog alone are good, lots of toppings. The guy that owns the place is very friendly and outgoing. Came by and checked on us a couple of times. Yep, need to come back here more often. It will be easier now that I know where this place is. Impressed by the Reuben Dog. The Pastrami is very tender.

Great place for a dog or burger. The owners are very friendly, food is tasty and prices are reasonable. I went in for lunch and had the The Mount dOgden because I wanted to try a bit of everything and this option included a hot dog and a hamburger smothered in chili and cheese. The bun was fresh, there was a smell of fresh buns being cooked and they looked and smelled awesome, the hot dog was top notch, overall the sandwich was pretty good, it could have been better with higher quality cheese and a melting under a salamander or something of the like but it was tasty. They have a lot of options I will have to go back and try some of the other choices.
