Friendliest staff ever! :) Love it here and I definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a tan in the Boston area!

This place is great. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. I find a lot of tanning places try to make you go in for longer than you want to (what is that all about?) but the ladies here are great and respectful of what you want for your skin.
The selection of beds and booths is great, my only loss of star is that there seems to be one of each model so you might have to wait. I know they don’t have the space for it, but I can’t give ‘as good as it gets’.

I’ve been coming here for the past 2 years and I’ll say that of all the places I frequent, I feel most welcomed here. the front desk (across the board) is extremely sweet and always makes it a point to catch up since the last time we spoke. I love coming here and so long as I live in the area I won’t stop!
In business, there is no better compliment than the courtesy of referral, and I’ve referred at minimum four regular customers.

Part of the reason my experience there is so enjoyable is that the team, especially Clari, knows who I am the moment I walk in, and knows the services I’m looking for. It makes for a very fast check in process that I really adore.

Great service!
I swung by Sole to get my tan on since it’s only located a hop and a skip from my apartment. The space is updated and clean. The girl behind the counter was very sweet and knowledgeable about the different tanning beds and suggested one that was right for my skin type. I ended up buying a one month unlimited pass at a reasonable price.
I’d definitely recommend if you’re in need of vitamin d without the bad UV rays.

This place deserves better reviews. My girlfriend and I have been going here for years and recently they have been updating their Salon. Many new awesome services here. I highly recommend Sole Tanning!

I found the employees of this salon pretty educate about the effects of UV damage and how to avoid it. They rec commended that I moisturize prior to each visit and suggested several fairly expensive moisturizers. They tailored my first several visits to keep me from burning my sensitive skin and provided me with two forms of eye protection for free when I advised that my eyes were sensitive to UV light. I bought a 30-​day all you can tan package for $ 120.00 which I found to be competitive. There is another package of 16 visits for 160.00. Individual visits to the stand up machines are $ 14.00 each. Very convenient to my house in the South End of Boston. About a block and a half. Very friendly employees. The salon is very clean and the machines new and powerful. This location is not in Roxbury but in the South End of Boston on Tremont Street between Dartmouth and Clarendon. The USPS assigns Roxbury to the 2 118 zip code. No complaints here. Just a tad expensive.

Listen, I’m not new to tanning. Have done it for years and never had a problem. I came in here a few weeks prior to a trip in order to get a base and asked the chick how long I should go in for. «Well, do you burn?»… «No» «Ok, you’ll be fine for the 15 min.» «um… you sure?» «uh-​huh»
Cut to 6 hours later when the entirety of my skin is red and burned. The chick, no-​joke, put me in for 15 minutes on my FIRST visit. Now, I know this is as much my fault as I should have said no, but at roughly $ 17 a visit, I figured hey, I’ll get my money’s worth. Yeah, big mistake.
Even worse, after my trip, I decide to pop in to do a stand up instead this time, all for a measly 6 minutes. (I would have gone to Campus Tan — where they KNOW what they’re doing — but was feeling lazy…) and after all of 2 minutes, I had to get out. Why? Because they have NO FANS in the booth! I’m sorry, but did they purchase this in 1990?
Don’t go here. That’s all I’ve got.
