Best restaurant in Roxboro. The food is great, never had anything bad and we eat here several times a month. The staff is nice and reliable. Some entrees are a little pricey, but it’s definitely worth it. If you have a chance to go here, don’t pass it up!

I have not been in a year but have heard nothing but rave reviews from people who know food, how it should taste and be priced. I know the owner has taken up an active interest in the community and does several food tastings at our local farmer’s market. He used our Farm to Table availability to present some nice, tasty appetizers.

A great little modern eatery tucked into an unassuming brick building off the beaten path in Roxboro. The crab cake was a little soft and undercooked, but the flavor a were great. The highlight was the dessert: fritters with hazelnut crème, raspberry sauce, and chocolate. Yummy!

If you live in or near Roxboro and are looking for decent food — especially a nice dinner after church on Sunday — this is a great place, but hurry because they close at 3PM on Sundays. I had the crab cake appetizer and coming from MD I know a good crab cake when I taste it and it was good! I also had a shrimp omelet and a fresh, crisp Caesar salad. Service was fast and accurate.

The chips that come with the catfish ‘n chips are thick-cut, house-made potato chips. The slaw wasn’t my favorite(mayo and cabbage – I prefer a vinegar-y slaw), but everything else was magnificent. They served up the best sweet potato fry I’ve ever had, and my partner had a properly medium-rare burger. The catfish was perfect, crispy and flaky and not at all greasy. No joke, bar none the best restaurant in Roxboro. Some of the entrees are on the upscale end, price wise, but absolutely very reasonable for the quality of food, and the burgers are a great deal. They buy from local farmers, too! Our waitress was a treat, and had great recommendations. This is not fast food, so plan to come enjoy your meal and give it the time it deserves. Again, easily the best quality food in town. Just wish we found it sooner, this will be our go-to«nice dinner» place from now on.

First visit. Had Cobb salad and better half had hamburger with sweet potato fries. Very good. Portions were very healthy size. Waitress was very attentive and quick. 100% Health Department rating. Fair prices. I’m guessing this is by far the best restaurant in Roxboro. We will go back. Update — Went back and it just confirms what a good place this is.

This was my first time being at Brookland Eats in Roxboro, NC! With all due respect, I didn’t expect to find such a classy-type place in such a rural area but I’m glad that it’s there! I came here for a rehearsal dinner the night before my buddy’s wedding. We arrived at 6 p.m. for cocktail hour and hors d’oeuvres and it was a great hour! The bartender kept the drinks flowing and there were coconut shrimp, bruschetta, and bbq egg rolls being walked around to the guests. After cocktail hour, we were ushered into the main dining room with the party and the servers took our orders. I will say the service wasn’t the quickest I’d ever experienced, but then again some of the best meals I’ve had have been the longest and besides, the entire staff there was extremely pleasant throughout the night. The caesar salad I started off with was dressed nicely and you could taste a little bit of lemon with each bite. It came with brioche croutons that I wasn’t a huge fan of but everyone else seemed to really enjoy. For my entrée I ordered the filet mignon. It was cooked to a nice medium rare and placed on top of grilled asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes. Everything on the plate was great! To end things, I ordered the banana nut bread pudding. It came out of the kitchen piping hot with a dollop of vanilla ice cream on top. It was a great ending to a great meal. If you’re ever coming through Roxboro and you’ve got some time to sit down to a nice meal, I’d definitely recommend giving Brookland Eats a try!

I only give one star because I have to. We walked in for my friends birthday and no one was at th e counter. We waited… and waited. I went to the back to ask if they are open and they said to give them a minute. NO… Give you a minute? really. I’m not spending your money. Totally rude and unresponsive. It was one pm not an off hour. I would spend MY money elsewhere

This was my 2nd visit & both times the service & the kitchen have been very slow! Once the food arrives its good, i would rate the food 3 ½ stars & service 1 star hence the cumulative 2 star rating. Both times the waitress was easily stumped by simple questions, just seems no one out on the floor is experienced, knowledgable or understand timing of when to visit or not visit the table. Hopefully they can step up their game, like real soon though!

I knew I would like this place when I saw the Eno Festival posters along the wall! Had lunch Dec. 31, 2014. The food was excellent(my friend had the she crab soup and I had the blackened catfish fish tacos) and the staff very friendly. It did take a while for our meals to come out, but well worth the wait! Definitely, on my list of great places to eat… especially, in Roxboro, NC.

Great food. You may drive right past if you are not careful. I had the southern fried chicken collard greens and mashed potatoes But this is not fast food. All items were done with care and nice flavor. The menu has a nice variety and the atmosphere was very urban renewal Worth stopping when you are in Roxboro area.

The map is definitely not the way to get here .it had us a mile past the restaurant! Look for the intersections of old Durham rd and Allensville roads(across the road from Mastec’s property. It is a brick building with a small sign over the door! A hidden gem, all the reviews are true! The pimento hush puppies are wonderful! I had the pot roast philly sandwich and my better half had the applewood burger. I have had the crab cake too and it is incredibly good! Well worth the money and hunt!

This place is BYFAR the BEST place to eat in Roxboro. Food is outstanding, even the kids meals were great. Lunch prices are a lot better than the dinner ones. But if you want good food, expect to pay for it. Unlike the other expensive places in Roxboro, this place is worth it! The décor and atmosphere is very nice. You might to dress nicer than t-shirt, jeans, and flip flops. Although there is no dress code, it’s nice to eat at a place that makes you want to dress nicer.

This place is magnificent! If you are looking for something out of the norm this is it! The spinach dip is like no spinach dip you have ever had before and the homemade chips are to die for.
