Worst professional move I have had, and that even tops the movers who oh so kindly discarded the items they broke so I couldn’t claim any insurance. Instead, Wakefiled Moving and Storage listed every single item I owned as being dented, scratched, soiled, badly worn, etc (some most itmes have 10 things wrong listed with each) on every single surface so I couldn’t claim much either when they took apart my furniture incorrectly and ripped screws right out of boards. As an example, three brand new ottomans were marked as «badly worn». Luckily, they were not damaged by the movers but I found it a prime example of how shady they were. Many other items were damaged though, one being a queen size bed frame/​headboard that is beyond repair. They also did something else pretty sneaky — Told me my movers were arriving at noon, when in fact the driver told me he was told to arrive at 10am, and I was told noon because the driver only has to wait 2 hr before putting all your belonging into storage… at which time they charge you thousands of dollars to get it out and moved again. So if I was the least bit late, they wouldn’t be there and I’d be paying more money. Fortunately, for me (I guess) they gave the driver the wrong zip code so he ended up several hours late after going to another town.
