My family and I were initially hesitant to try Zheng’s Fusion because the name suggested that they served Asian fusion dishes that were not authentic nor tasty, but the dishes here are actually as authentic as they get. The word«fusion» simply refers to the fact that they serve both Szechuan and Cantonese dishes. And to me, the Szechuan dishes are some of the best in the SGV. Their lunch buffet is also a bargain: only $ 10. You can even takeout as much food you can fit in their to-go box for the same price, which is enough to last 2 meals. Even if their food isn’t all you can eat during dinner, nor as cheap, I’d still order it. I will say though that business isn’t booming whenever I come. And I’m also surprised that this place only has 3.5 stars and minimal reviews. Perhaps people are hesitant to try this place for the same reasons I did. I hope all that changes though, and I encourage everyone to give this place a shot.

Terrible service, below average quality food, only thing good is the décor, very quiet, so sad this establishment has no management at all, wonder how long they going to stay open. Don’t go there even if it is free. You will be disappointed.

Had family lunch with 9 and ordered for lunch menu. Nice ambience and artistic plating. Dishes mostly under $ 10 yet all the dishes were top notch: water cook fish, black fungus chicken, crispy fish with red sauce.

We had a blast here. The theme and décor was nice. The food overall was above average. Maybe 3 ½ stars. Friend invited us out, ordered the 8 course meal and chowed down. They have quiet private rooms for dining and a Karaōke room for partying with friends. Located in a strip mall.

This is a okay restaurants, we ordered 3 dishes and each was served 20min apart, we finished each dish before next one was served, why it took that long.

The food and presentation both are not bad, but not the best. Not spicy enough even after I told them to make it EXTRA spicy and numbing(«mala»). Very good service up to and ended when the bill is paid. They can care less after that, no «goodbye» or «thank you for coming» upon our departure. :-(Decoration is slightly above average but already shows signs of aging. The best thing about this place is it is quiet! One can actually carries on a conversation with others without shouting or texting. Very unusual for a Chinese restaurant. So, good place for business lunch.

The family and I have been coming here several times now. Each time, we ordered something completely different than the previous visit. Never walked away disappointed. The sirloin steak sauteed with onion and black pepper was probably the best I have had in years. The handmade veggie ball soup was light, fluffy and tasty. Try out the place. You will not be disappointed… yes, it’s a bit pricy bit what you pay, is what you will get.

It was totally a ripped-off! When I got to the restaurant, the chef and waitress tried very hard to recommend«live» and«fresh» seafood such as «lobster salad», «live shrip», «live fish» and etc., which the prices are not in the menu and labelled as «seasonal price». They claimed that all seafood in «seasonal price» are truely fresh and«live». I ordered one fish with relatively reasonable price($ 24.99 per pound), and then they suddenly said that kind of fish has no more«live» ones, but another one has(more expensive) some. Considering we are hosting our friends, and no fish is usually not a complete nice dinner in our local culture, I ordered one. You can see the price per pounds, but you never know how much it weights! No kidding, it turned out to be «3.5 pounds”(you usually will only know it when you see the bill and the evidence has been eaten)! The point is you can tell the meat was hard, which was obviously a not fresh at-all one! I heard from a lady who used to work for a restaurant who told me that 1. they usually exchanged the fresh one with the dead one, although some peope make marks before the fresh one goes to the kitchen! You can never see the marks after it’s cooked. 2. you never know how much weight it was! I was dumb enough to order fresh crab, which was quite similar situation, but I didn’t take lobster salad and live big shrimp they recommended. The most embassing thing was the waitress came over again after my friends arrived and said highly recommended«lobster salad» and etc. OMG! The restaurant seems newly remodeled and the enviroment is fine. However, the other dishes I ordered in the menu are relatively expensive, but the portion are quite small. I’m an immigrant being in US for more than 10 years and I learned«trusting people» from the American culture. However, you just have to be very very cautious when you meet such kind of ‘black heart’ restaurant! I was ripped-off and I should have also been thought as a «fool»! I guess I was!

This is a grand looking place but I don’t think the kitchen and staff meet the décor’s aspirations. Dishes like pineapple fried rice certainly meet the fusion category, but it wasn’t good. The more traditional dishes like braised belly pork were ok, but not excellent. The highlight for me was the glass noodle dish, asparagus and shrimp and some cold meat dishes.

I finally get to write a 5 star review of a restaurant after so long. The place looks gorgeous. The service is great and the food is wow! We had the sweet and sour pork ribs, garlic vegetables, pepper steak and kong pao chicken; all of which were amazing! Highly highly recommend.

Tried Zheng’s Fushion last week and went without checking any of the Unilocal reviews before. I’m glad I didn’t check the reviews because it may have stopped me from going. Before we went in I was a little off-put by the name Zheng’s Fushion. I didn’t want fusion, I wanted authentic Chinese food but I realized quickly that it’s used strictly for marketing to non-Chinese and that the place was truly authentic Chinese food. The first thing you notice, as others have stated(even in the bad reviews), is the amazing atmosphere that has been decorated like no other Chinese restaurant you have seen. Beautiful decorations and furniture imported from China. Based on décor alone I think most people would rate this place a 4 or more likely a 5. The menu is AWESOME. I love how big it is and you can clearly see what you’re going to get from the HD photos of the different dishes. More places need to incorporate these types of menus. I ordered the smoked fish, a vegetable dish, and the spicy eggplant. All of the food was great! The smoked fish and the spicy eggplant had great flavor to it whereas the vegetable dish was bland if eaten by itself. The spicy eggplant was my favorite. The whole staff was extremely friendly. We had 3 different staff members helping us throughout the meal. We had a question about one of the dishes and they brought us out some free samples. Great service! The only thing I would say they could improve is the English name(Fusion) and the portions of some of the food. If they gave bigger portions in some of their meals I think people would feel they aren’t overpaying(as some have stated in the poor reviews). I’ll be back again for sure!

YUCKYYUCKYYUCKY. My parents insisted on trying this place out for Thanksgiving dinner and all that you need to know is that I went to McDonald’s after. Everything was either too oily or too bland or both. Portions are tiny and the name says fusion, but it’s really not. It’s basically boring Chinese food plated the way Chinese people think fancy American food is plated. Lots of inedible garnishes and unnecessary sauces dribbled on the plate. They seem to love chili oil for no reason other than to add chili oil. The pork belly part of the pork belly buns were so oily, it was almost inedible. And this is coming from a girl that eats chunks of steak that are just pure fat. Even the red bean buns at the end were bad, and how can you even mess that up???

Much like what many of the other reviewers say, they spent way too much money on their décor and desire to be flashy, and lacked the true essence of being a good restaurant — food and service. Everything was overpriced and the portions are on the small side. The best service we got all night was from the sole non-Chinese waiter in the restaurant. He filled our waters, bussed our tables quickly and efficiently. All the other waiters were flakey, not responsive and at times, nonexistent. What made us very sure we’ll never be back? We ordered an order of their Xiao Long Bao, the juicy pork dumpling. We waited 30 minutes for it and were sadly dismayed at what we saw. They were not what you’d find at Din Tai Fung, your traditional thin skinned dumpling that sprays juice at you. they were more like Shen Jian Baos, but there was no juice, it was extremely bready, and the meat was dry. WORST part? They said they served it fresh out of the steamer after making us wait for 30 minutes? The buns/dumplings were lukewarm to cold, depending on which one you chose from the plate. 30 minutes for overpriced dumplings that were cold. seriously? We told the server and she gave us a disgusted look, took the plate, and disappeared. We wait another 10 minutes to receive replacement buns. And continued bad service for calling them out. I feel bad to be a party pooper and write a rude and cruel review, but when you’re charging 20−50% more for every item than what it’s really worth, I do expect you to wow me with the portions and quality of your food. Zheng’s — very much less of fusion and very much more of failure. Save your money — go to Green Island next door. Not going to be the best food you ever had, but at least you won’t feel cheated there like you will at Zheng’s.

Ambience is elegant, service is better than most chinese restaurantI thought a beef dish was pork. The head chef came out with wagyu brisket, which I was every impressed. Although certain service etiquette can be improved, but for a new restaurant it has space to grow.

Very elegant restaurant with quality food, beautiful ambience, very clean, great service, unique taste. Very reasonable price for the quality. Great to meet clients for lunch or dinner. If you want a large portion and cheap price, this is not the place. Food are made at order, so will take time to prepare. Finally, an Asian restaurant focused on quality, service, health and ambience. Will sure come again.
