I was really impressed with the comercial propaganda they pay Radio & then to see there office in such a plain set up. Very basic. I met Dr. Tartak 1 time only. Once just to give me a run down of my lazik procedure & process. That was it went to there Credit Dept. & NEVER again saw the Dr. Not even the day of Surgery only heard her voice. I was seen every single visit by her «assistants»? Not sure what & who they really are other than that they step out of the room to ask her for any Questions. One young cute guy is Awesome you’ll know who I mean he is Sooo over Worked & Probably Under paid. While some «Dr’s» take there sweet time even to Walk.

Came here I had a great and wonderful experience! The staff was very friendly and welcoming! I would recommend to family and friends;)

When i went to the Dr tartaks office for the first time and I had an great experience. The staff member that helped me was Silvia. She was very helpful and gave me and my family a perfect time to go inn. She even had the patience to stay on the phone with me till I got there when I was lost and couldn’t find the clinic.

I did not get my surgery done here. Although staff was super friendly, I was a little uncomfortable that the patient form required me to state my drivers license number and my social security number. Those are far from necessary for laser eye surgery.

Best lasik clinic! I’m so happy I chose Dr Tartak to do my lasek surgery. Dr Tartak diagnosed me and I did my eye surgery the same day. I have worn glasses for years, it is so wonderful to live life without glasses. I had my surgery two weeks ago and I’m ²⁰⁄₂₀ in both eyes. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Two thumbs up! My highest recommendation! Thank you Dr Tartak!

Only reason I gave a star is because I have to.
I met with Dr. Tartak as I had heard good reviews and testimonials from previous patients through a radio station.
After my dad paid for the surgery and after the surgery was done I had complications not once but about 2 – 3 times. Due to the complications I had to get a «touch up» on both of my eyes on different occasions. The «touch up» as they claim is the LASIK surgery all over again… It was very uncomfortable and painful for my eyes.
During the time I had the «touch ups» and had to go back for my regular check ups one receptionist had the nerve to tell my mom and myself not to discuss my procedures. Who is she to tell me what I can and can’t mentioned about MY horrible experience !!!
Dr. Tartak oh gosh she was not happy for having to do the «touch ups» on my eyes as she wanted to charge me extra for something I had no control over. I had to explain to the receptionist that I was told for no additional payment if additional surgeries or procedures needed. The nerve she had to give me attitude when I explained to her my eye situation.
I had the lasik surgery years ago and about 10 years after the surgery my eyes started to hurt and I was seeing blurry.
Not knowing what was going on with me I made an appointment with a specialist who mentioned that my corneas have scars from what seem to be a lasik surgery. I told him I had it done a few years and was told I would never need to wear glasses. Now a few years after the surgery in back to wearing glasses.
Dr. Tartak cares about your money and doesn’t want to see you after she takes your money. The receptionist are horrible and give attitude to those who pay for a horrible service. I wish I could get back the money my dad paid.

Staff is rude. If you ask them a question they give you attitude. I only saw a few staff members who actually looked like nice people. Expect to wait hours and hours. I was there for 5.5 hours! With an appointment! I understand if it’s busy but there was only 5 people waiting. What is the point of giving appointments if you wait 2+ hours just to be called. This place is a scam all they care about is getting your money. I’m so glad I went else where. Nicer staff more informative and so much better pricing. i was so happy with my results at the other place I opted for instead. Beware stay away…

horrible staff, very unprofessional, they make you feel like all they care about is your money. came in for a consultation and even scheduled an appointment to have the procedure done. so glad i did not go through with it. $ 4,900 for one eye and $ 3000 for the other? are you serious? ANNNNDDD she was constantly emphasizing on bringing cash. the receptionist even left voicemails reminding me to only bring cash the day of the surgery. so SUSPICIOUS!

Horrible staff !!! Very RUDE and clueless. Silvia a receptionist doesn’t know how to answer a phone call, take a message and relay it. For three weeks I tried making an appointment and no luck ! I was a patient in «06» and just because I saw another doctor they were not able to see me again, that’s what Silvia told me. Dr. Tartak never even bothered to call me back and confirm a reason. She sure as hell called me back when she took my six thousand dollars in cash from me for my intac surgery. Thank you Doctor Tartak so professional. Horrible customer service and horrible follow ups !

Came in whit my brother follow up for his eye surgery very clean place except for a Mel Hispanic employee Carlos very rude and disrespectful to patients and his co workers I was sitting near the desk area and this guy Carlos was just extremely loud and rude I felt very uncomfortable he didn’t let the front desk girl do her job he was all on her face they need to let this guy go Carlos u need to get over yourself and let the girls do there job your not a professional at your job like the front desk girl u were harassing.

I am at almost 2 months since my Lasek procedure and I have to say that I am completely happy for making this decision in my life.
Prior to my free consultation with Dr. Tartak, I went to a lasik surgeon my optometrist had referred me to in Newport Beach. (Which by the way was going to cost me about $ 6k not including medicine and eye drops; and the procedure that was going to be performed on my eyes was going to be Lasik, which consisted of a flap).
I decided to give Dr. Tartak a try after my mom told me about her radio advertisement (Spanish radio station). However, before I made my free consultation appointment I did my own research on Dr. Tartak and I didn’t find anything negative about her, so I made my appointment. The first time I called I never got thru to making an appointment, but 2 days later I called again and told them that I had been waiting 2 days to set up my free consultation. I was given an appointment for the following Tuesday (I called a Friday).
On the day of my free consultation, I showed up to my appointment 30 minutes early and yes I had to wait, but at this point I think it was worth it. I had various test performed with different machines and then I was examined by a doctor (it wasn’t Dr. Tartak; I was aware that I wouldn’t see Dr. Tartak until they day of the procedure). After I was examined by the doctor, I was taken to another room with another doctor, who told me that I was a good candidate for the procedure. The doctor explained to me that the best procedure for me would be Lasek not Lasik, because of my thin cornea and she also explained the side effects I would have if I had Lasik procedure versus the Lasek procedure. If I had chosen to go to the 1^st doctor I had visited I would’ve suffered a lot of side effects. :/​After I was answered all my questions and the procedure was explained, I was walked over to the office of the person who explains the cost of the surgery. She too answered all my cost questions and explained my payment options. The only thing that I disliked about this part was that I was given a procedure date before me deciding if I was going to get the procedure or not. However, the worst thing that I could’ve done was cancelled it, which was no big deal for me.
After comparing the cost and procedures between Dr. Tartak and the prior Lasik surgeon, I decided to get my procedure done with Dr. Tartak. (I ended up paying half of the $ 6k that the other surgeon was going to charge me and I was also going to get Lasek, which wasn’t the best procedure for my eyes).
The day of surgery I was dropped off and later picked up by a family member. I was at the center for about 2.5 hours. The procedure was completed in less than 20 minutes (maybe sooner). It was also the 1^st and only time I met Dr. Tartak, which is such a friendly and caring doctor. She explained every step as well as kept me calm. I saw results as soon as I got up from the table bed. It is amazing how a simple laser can fix ones vision. After the procedure was done I was taken to another room where I was explained what medicine and precautions I was going to follow.
I keep reading that people have horrible experiences with the front desk and complain about how they don’t meet with the doctor until they day of the surgery, as for my experience I have to say it has been a positive one. I am not going to lie and say that the wait is not horrible because it is, but they have tons of new and recent patients coming in and out. I have never had an issue scheduling an appointment or with the staff being rude. I haven’t suffered any bad effects with the procedure. If you are a patient that doesn’t follow directions and procedures, then yes, you might have complications. I learned that you have to be patience with healing and results because everybody heals at its own pace.
I had a followup procedure on Friday and my eyes are already at a ²⁰⁄₂₀. However, that doesn’t mean I am not going to follow directions or stop going to my appointments.
I would recommend anyone and everyone who is thinking of getting Lasik or Lasek procedure to go with Dr. Tartak.

My experience at Hyperspeed Lasik was nothing short of amazing.
I drove all the way from Newport Beach to get my eyes done by Dr. Tartak. Here in OC we have tons of ‘top’ Lasik surgeons. but they mostly just do more straightforward Lasik. and several come off as used care salesmen. I had several things (nearsight, farsight, astigmatism and presbyopia), and Dr. Tartak was recommended by several Optometrists as she is constantly recognized as one of the country top ophthalmologists and has extensive experience in all aspects of eye surgery.
I was presented with several options from modified monovision lasik (the standard kind) to implantable contact lenses, to a new procedure called Presbylasik. which creates multivision areas on the cornea. Dr Tartak is an expert at this and one of only a handful of surgeons that do this procedure. I chose the Presby, but done ‘no cut (lasEk not lasIk
The surgery itself was without a doubt the easiest surgery Ive ever had… the surgery for me was NOTING more than a cool light show… i felt absolutely nothing whatsoever. was not uncomfortable at all, and it was done in just a few minutes… The laser part is pretty trippy… but it was only 12 seconds, and again, felt nothing at all. For my second eye i literally as having a conversation with Dr. Tartak the entire time she was working on my eye (except for the actual laser zap few seconds!)
Ive had great follow up care with Dr. Dominguez, and my vision is better already after just a few days that its ever been. like HD tv. I’m totally blown away by how just a few seconds under a laser can make this huge a change in my life and my day to day comfort. No glasses, no contacts, and I see MUCH better now than I ever did with glasses or contacts.
Highly recommended.

I Was Blind Beyond Blind Years Of Eye Wear & I Was Closely To Not Being A Good Candidate For This Surgery. They Told Me From The Beginning I Was Almost 90% Sure I Would Need A Retouch In Both Eyes Which Would Be Included In The Same Payment. A Yr & A Half Later Turned Out I Only Needed A Small Retouch In One Eye. Had My Retouch 3 Days Ago Now Im ²⁰⁄₂₀ & Super Surprised & Happy I Only Needed In One Eye! I Loveee This Place Even Though The Wait Drives Me Crazy Sometimes Lol But That’s A Good Thing That It’s Always Full Which Means It’s A Good Place Rather Than Being Always Empty. No Regrets, If I Had To Go Back I Would Do It All Over Again In This Same Place! 3 Secs Of Lasik Changed My Life Forever!

Make sure to bring a book or something to do, because you will be waiting… for 2 – 3, even 4 hours! The staff is very rude and refuse to answer general questions. If you call to try to rescheduled an appointment or let them know you are running 15min late, they give you attitude, which i think is unnecessary considering once you sign in you’ll be sitting for hours in the waiting room until you’re seen. When they finally call your name it’ll be to have you take a seat in a different waiting room, where you’ll have to wait even more. On one occasion the office called to scheduled an appointment. The offered a date and time when I was going to be out of town, when i asked if they had anything else available, they said no and that the next open appointment was in 2 months! I called the next day and made an appointment as a new patient was given several times for the following week. When i confronted them, they made up some excuse about getting cancellations.
My mom had the surgery over 2 years ago and has had countless «touch-​ups» despite following all the ridiculous after-​care instructions (at one point she was told not to sneeze!). When she signed up for the surgery she was told that her medication would be covered. This turned out being false. She only gets 1 – 2 sample of the medication and she has to purchase the rest!
I would not recommend this place at all!
