This is hands-​down the best and only mechanic that I would ever recommend to anyone. My family has been coming to Ken for service and repair since the early ‘90s and I plan on doing the same for the foreseeable future.
He performs quality work at a honest and affordable price. You’ll never need to worry about shoddy workmanship, being charged for unnecessary repairs, or overpaying for parts and labor here. How qualified is he? The certifications on his wall and his loyal customer base speak for themselves.
I would recommend calling several days in advance to make sure he’s available. You might be able to get a walk-​in if you swung by shortly after he opens on a weekday but no guarantees. From experience, Saturdays also seem to be the busiest.

Honest opinions, highly qualified technicians, and very detail oriented.
They will even show you on your vehicle and explain to you what and why parts need to be changed or repaired.

Excellent repair facility for German high end Japanese autos. Friendly, experienced, knowledgeable, and very reasonable. No bullshit sales job only the truth about what needs repair and what’s truly recommended. Definitely a great repair shop!

Great place to go to!!! I went there cuz my friend introduced Ken to me, one of the mechanic that’s works there. Great service and will tell you what you really need, not just trying to rip you off and take your money. Strongly suggest car lovers to take your car to them, they give great care! I live in Irvine and I don’t even mind driving 30 min just for a car repair, cuz it’s worth it!

Today I visited this auto shop and had the worst experience ever. What happened was Ken, the owner, drove my car into the garage for brake testing and as he hit the button to roll up my window, he completely took off a portion of the button. When I confronted him about this, he would not admit fault and blamed it on me when it was absolutely 100% perfectly fine before entering the shop. The owner Ken is far from an honest man. Now I don’t know what to do with this broken piece. I do not recommend this place at all and would never come back here again. DO NOT VISIT THIS AUTO SHOP!!!

Been coming here for about 3 – 4 years and I can always count on Ken. He’s very helpful and patient when explaining to me what needs to be done with my car. Truth be told, I haven’t had much issues with my car. I always come in on time for a regular tune-​up and they check everything out for me. There was one time I deviated from coming here because I received a dealership coupon in the mail for a maintenance. Read my review on that — wow, what a horrible decision. When I came back toTB Auto, it was back to predictable and awesome service.
I definitely recommend checking this place out if you want reliable, relatively fast, and professional service.

Ken always goes extra miles to help with my cars. Yes he’s got free car rental like any dealers. He always explain the defective parts and show them on computer screen in plain language so everyone can understand. Well he deserves to charge a higher price!

I learned of ken from one of my friends who has been going to him for years, took my MB C300 there and he took great care of me with his genuine honesty. He was straight on point no BS. Great work ethic, he only takes up to 9 cars a day so he is by appointment only so as you can see he chooses quality care over quantity. So I will be taking my car to him instead of the dealership from now on. A mechanic you can trust!

TB Auto Service & Repair had took great care of my MB, since he is specialize in European car which it fits my needs .
Their Computer detect the codes and tells the problem, their well trained technicians explain to me in detail till i understand and i am sure got what i had paid for.

TB Auto is awesome! Ken mainly works on BMW, Lexus, etc, but he takes excellent care of my Toyotas and Hondas as well. I recommend TB Auto to anyone. He’s earned my trust (and my family’s), and I won’t be going elsewhere to get my cars fixed.

The owner Ken is fxxking bs liar, he has very good speech, but unfortunately he only want to squeeze u out. Shop around when they ask u to do a major repair. My bushing are good but he keep saying it fall off. Their mechanic might be good but Ken tell good story in the end u pay alot.

My family has been going to Ken for our auto needs for well over 15 years. Ken has seen me grown up from a little kid until now. We trust him with all of our auto needs and he is a really down to earth and kind person. I always recommend him to my friends.

Needed to change battery on my 528i and dealer wanted $ 550 for to do the job. Found TB Auto Service on Unilocal and called for info. Ken is an awesome guy! He’s straight forward about his pricing and only uses OEM parts. I went by in the morning to pay for the battery, which he ordered from Ontario BMW for about $ 230 and said will call me when its delivered. He called in the afternoon. I stopped by, paid $ 95 for installation and registration (for the battery, which dealer would charge I think $ 55 to do), and was out of there in 30 minutes with a new battery and all system reset. Very happy with the work!

Great service, great prices! Ken sat me down and explained in general what happened with my car, and then went through this extensive checklist of all the things they did (and didn’t) do, and why. Very professional!

Finally! A mechanic I can trust! I cannot tell you how much I recommend T B Auto and owner, Ken Yen.
As many can attest, it’s hard to find an honest mechanic who isn’t out to up-​sell you on parts you don’t need or way overcharge for labor. If you’re a woman, then I bet you’re particularly tired of being condescended to or ripped off by shady auto shops. I know I was.
I’m glad I read the Unilocal reviews– T B Auto Service was great, just like many others have said.
Ken helped me right away and demonstrated to me exactly what was malfunctioning in my engine (it was my signal relay) and even temporarily subbed in a working part to prove it. My car is an older-​model BMW, so it’s sort of hard to find just the right parts, and they’re almost always overpriced. He ordered the parts right in front of me and gave me a total price that I felt was more than fair– MUCH better than the estimates I’d been getting! My part came in and the whole job was finished earlier than they anticipated. After a high-​five from Ken, I was on my way!
On top of the fast, demonstrative, and fairly-​priced service, Ken is so genuinely friendly and ready to answer whatever concerns you have without being condescending or confusing. His son Andy (who is a bit of a drift-​racing celebrity) was also very courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful. These guys are real pros and they treat customers fairly.
I didn’t feel intimidated or like I was being cast aside at all, which is such a refreshing change of pace!
T B Auto Service is what every auto shop should strive to be. They’re my new go-​to place, for sure!

Ken and Andy are absolutely professional when it comes to auto mechanics. My boyfriend and I have been going to Ken’s shop for about 12 years now and his work ethics have not changed. They are honest and trustworthy. They don’t do any shady stuff here, so don’t try asking for it. Any car questions, Ken is more than willing to answering them for you. He is patient and very nice. Even my parents go to him for anything car related. Big plus here, they won’t rip you off. They know what they are doing and they love what they do. Btw if you get to know Ken, the man has a killer sense of humor and personality. Great and honest mechanic. You cannot go wrong. Too many shady mechanics out there… Ken is definitely NOT one of them!

Ken, Andy and Tony are really knowledge and helpful.
They let me know what is wrong with my Toyota Sienna’s problems. They explained everything and exactly how much it would cost to fix it.
They explained all the costs & labor fee to fix my car very nicely. They also was very upfront about how long it would take to fix it.
Thanks to them, I don’t have to pay arm & leg to the dealer

Ken and Andy are both awesome. My whole family goes to TB auto to get our cars worked on from the biggest fix to the regular oil changes. These guys are great and most importantly trustworthy. They never fix anything that doesn’t require work, like most places, just charging you an arm and a leg figuring the normal person don’t understand anything about cars. They do the work fast and in a professional manner. They usually only work on Benz, Audi, BMW, Lexus and Porshe. I am sure they will work on others but I would ask first. Great prices, honest mechanics, what else do you need to know. Call and make an appt before showing up because they are usually pretty busy!!!
