This place shouldn’t be categorized as Taiwanese food. Nothing about this place is Taiwanese, more mainland China and cumin spiced frozen foods. I haven’t given a bad review in a while but being in Rowland area they need to up their game. It’s over salted and seasoned. The meats were tough can’t chew, and they don’t ventilate enough so the air was oily my hair smells gross.

Came here on a Saturday with 3 people in our party. It didn’t take hem Kong to seat us and we ordered within 5 minutes and it only took about ONEHOUR for our food to come out. We were already starving when we came in and dying an hour later. Two groups that came in AFTERUS got all their dishes already… We had to remind the servers multiple times to check our food and bring rice. We had ordered a lamb fried rice(which we’ve ordered before) and after it came out it didn’t even taste right. Food here is good here sometimes but the service needs a lot of work.

Awesome! After a day at work and some shopping on the weekend, we came here for a late night dinner. Portions were great, and they have the essentials and then some! Yeah, I wanted the beer towers, but I had to drive — next time! The waiters were also nice and friendly. The Special Grilled Fish was soooo good; the Dongbei style flat noodle dish was large and came with a lot of ingredients! Will go back for another round!

Beef skewer and the teppan enoki beef roll, were really good, love the place, and they have the Taiwanese show on tv, but little bit pricey. But will come to try something else

Why the Dan Dan noodles so soupy? I’m not an expert though, so maybe it’s supposed to be that way? Well I can say that it wasn’t overwhelmingly peanut buttery but it did have a vinegar component that I didn’t like. The spicy wontons were good and came with some bok choy and peanuts. The beef skewers had a nice flavour but we’re tough and chewy. It wasn’t bad but nothing impressive.

I really wanted to like this place. Unfortunately, the food was awful! I’m usually not the picky type, especially when it comes to casual-style Asian dining, but I must say that this was probably the worst meat-on-skewers dish that I’ve ever tasted. Why is it so bad? — 1: the beef wrapped around mushrooms skewer tasted like they first blanched the beef in water, slathered sauce on it, and stuck a metal rod in there. It didn’t taste like it had been on the grill for more than a minute –1: the pork ribs on skewer tasted like the fattiest, boniest pork ribs were placed on the metal rod overnight, and then sauce was placed on the meat sfter it was cooked. It should have been marinated in the sauce. –1: the mala(numbing spicy) hot pot with veggies, tofu, and glass noodles was so awful that I wanted to cry. Seriously. It was too salty, had barely any glass noodles in it, and the cauliflower they put in the soup was dirty and looked dry and moldy. Also, this soup lacked two main ingredients: pickled vegetable 酸菜 and pork blood 豬血. :(Awful, just awful! –1: the price was ridiculously expensive given the quality and quantity of food we got. $ 26 for one medium bowl of soup and two plates of fatty, bland meat on skewers. We didn’t even get any drinks! In this area, $ 26 should get you some decent food that’s at least cooked properly. –1: the waiter served us food from another table. This was about 5 minutes after we placed our food order. Come on, get organized! –1: really poor ventilation in there. Smoke from the kitchen filled the entire restaurant. I felt suffocated in there, and I was sitting right next to the door. I feel sorry for the cook who was sweating in that awful smoke as he worked so hard to cook that awful food. I really want to give this place 1 star, but to be fair I have only been there one time and my review was based on three dishes. I do think that the people who gave this place 4 or 5 star reviews don’t understand how this type of food should have been prepared. Perhaps I’ve just been to too many great bbq and Asian cuisine establishments. Yeah, I know this isn’t Fogo de Chao but how could anyone mess up cooking meat on skewers?! Not recommended.

Not a fan. A great place to hang out and drink. The food is alright. The Chinese spices that are on the skewers was not good. The octopus dish was good.

DEFINITELY come here for BEERTOWERS. 92oz for $ 17. And I think they even have bigger one. This was the medium. Besides under the tower they have dices. You can make the dices spin by pressing a button and play drinking games. Taiwanese food here is delicious and served for a reasonable price. It’s a very nice place. A mix of, eat, drink and hang out with friends. Definitely worth checking this place out

Mostly Taiwanese beer food. Skewers, fried rice, salty, spicy. Nothing great, but nothing bad either. The service was attentive. Interesting part: I asked for water, and they gave me hot water! Very Asian. No iced water since I didn’t ask for«bing» shui, just«shui.» Not a bad thing, just unexpected!

The food they have is pretty good, it’s the price that I can’t justify. If you are charging me nearly $ 2 per skewer then make the portion feel like a $ 2 one. I have other place to go with better quality and cheaper price.

Was just here exploring this new plaza and found only this restaurant is open, so my friend and I decided to give it a try. There are probably 6 – 7 tables sitting outside, and the interior décor is pretty nice. We ordered bottle beer, lamb skewers, teppan squid, grilled oysters, and cumin«chicken bone”(basically this should be mostly chicken bones with little meat on them, if you get what I mean:/ too hard to explain) So, the«bottle beer» on the menu turns out to be glasses of beer, the chicken bone were more like boneless chicken/popcorn chicken, oysters were just ok and for $ 4 each I didn’t think it was worth it, the lamb skewers were the biggest disappointment, they were hard and tasteless compare to all other places I’ve been to. The only dish we actually liked was teppan squid. Overall, the atmosphere is good, they only had one server so it was kind of slow, could really improve on the quality of the food especially the lamb skewers. Will still give it a try next time though.

This place is not really for big meals. It is more for snacks. The restaurant is located at the newly developed plaza right off of the I-60 freeway. The name is interesting: Stone Age Restaurant. Their tables and chairs are grey, just as the stone color. The lighting inside the restaurant is like lighting in night bars, dim and romantic. Food tastes average. Hot and spicy pot is a soup based pot with rice noodles, tofu, hams, and various vegetables. The portion is quite small. I also ordered the Stone Age special grilled fish. This one was very tasty. They grilled the fish and laid salad on top of the fish, along with lime slices, you will love this! It seems like their specialty is on grilled food, so don’t miss out! The waitress who served us was really friendly. She kept asking us how we liked the food. I am very satisfied with her service. Parking here is easy to find. The restaurant is located in a plaza with lots of parking spots.

This is a new restaurant serving some pretty authentic Chinese food, they serve some fried pancake like snack along with a full menu — the pancake is from one of the provinces in China but my cultural knowledge is pretty poor so you’ll have to find out where it originates from yourself. They also serve alcohol. It’s in the new plaza where Melody ktv is, as well as a couple of other bar and grills that aren’t open yet, I also saw a Shibuyala and an internet café and a pool hall, among other businesses. The décor is pretty standard, not as fancy as other theme restaurants, nobody walking around in Stone Age attire(did they wear clothes?) and just some stone age decorations on the walls. The tables and chairs are standard and the overall feeling is still nice because it is new.
