Smog Test Only Discount Center

What a rip-​off. Sketchy shop and shady owner. He said he would cert my 6 cylinder SUV for $ 45.00, but I would have to wait about an hour. He asks for your paperwork in advance to trap you there. The gas station across the street did it for $ 40.00 in 20 minutes.

Don’t go there. The owner is super rude. I as a customer asked for the best price, but the owner is very offensive and yelled at me. Stay away from this shop.

Korean guy (I think he is the boss) is very nice, he ran smog check on my car were pretty fast. This is our 2^nd time there, it’s definitely a shop to go back if you need a smog check

Fast, easy, reasonably priced and great customer service. Was in and out within 10 minutes, granted there was no one there. I would go back.

Brought my 2009 nissan here since they had some great reviews but it ended up being just a waste of my time. Their tech, who really didnt look like he knew what he was doing spent 15 – 20 min on the car, looking inside and out then tells me to come outside, hands me my dmv sheet back and says «its too loud, i dont want to do» and literally just walks away. Nothing about any emissions issue which it didnt have. My car is bone stock and thats just how it comes! If you ever hear a corvette, ferrari, porsche, or any muscle/​sports car sound stock, they grumble pretty loudly but not street illegally loud. He didnt even apologize for making me wait. I told him its all stock and his response was «i dont care i can choose who i want to refuse». Now i see why they are a discount, as they also discount in attitude and hire a tech who has no real experience. Took my car down the road to Smog Pros Test Only on colima and bam, no problems! I even chatted with the manager (Ash) there because he’s done many sports cars so he knows what a stock car sounds like. Don’t confuse that though for leniency. Guess thats the difference between experience and discount. Avoid this place unless you want someone who doesn’t know what he’s doing to work on your car!

That time of the year again.
Came here for the first time. Was in and out within 20 minutes. Turns out that the smog doesn’t need to put your car on the dyno if your car isn’t too old. For me, 2003. He just plugged in the obd2, scanned something in my door jamb, hit a few buttons on his keyboard. Waited for his 56k modem to connect, and we were done.
Btw, this place is STAR certified.
5 stars for sure. Minus 0.0001 for slow internet.

This place is amazing. The owner is very personable and was so nice to our baby (I realize that’s random, but that says a lot about a person in general. Super nice guy!) For 45 bucks we got a title-​change smog, and he did all of the paper work for us (saved us the trip to the dmv; time is money)! I’m going to come here from now on and recommend to all of my friends. Hard for me to say. The hours on the door say Sunday they open at 9. I went there on a Sunday around 8:50 to get in quick and finish it easy. However 9:30, still no one in sight besides me and 2 other guys that were waiting for the place to open… Only reason it is not 1 star is because I did find a good coupon for it, maybe I advise to call before you go to make sure someone is there. I felt like I was stood up. =(All in all I ended up somewhere else.

Came here on friday, they are cheap and fast. Awesome. But even though they say they are open on Sunday until 2. I’m here right now and they are closed. Lunch break maybe? :(

I only get my smog checked twice a year with that said, you don’t really become a regular at these places… until now. 2 guys there, one that did ran the test and another did my paperwork and dmv tags. One of the nicest gentlemen I’ve met and they did the work with ease. I would highly recommend people to go here and I would definitely return… that’s if I don’t get a new car by then.

Mike is a great mechanic and a great person. Been here twice! Once on a Sunday and on a Tuesday. Both times had great experiences. They’re fast and cordially. What more do you need!

Mike, a Vietnamese guy who knows this stuff, does a good job and QUICK! Best and quickest place in Rowland Heights to get smog. Right off the freeway to. Other places are always trying to upsell other stuff and make you wait too long.

Called ahead. I was told 10 min wait. To my surprise they were finished when I arrived. Then approximately 10 mins later my car was dun. However, I did go in the morning hours.

Ditched the place up teh street and came here and they serviced me in 10 minutes! Even though i paid an extra $ 9 more from the place up the street, it beat sitting in the sun for over 2 hours!

this is my one stop smog shop! i am a regular here! i get all my smog checks, tests and inspections at this STAR CERTIFIED SMOG SHOP. All at a great price and Joe (owner) is a very friendly guy and always gives me a good laugh. His Smog shop also provides DMV services such as vehicle registration renewals and transfer of ownership. Save time and money! Highly Recommended!

I was having a tough week and when I came here to get my smog done, the guy at the counter took notice and did everything he could to cheer me up. That kind of consideration and service really deserves 5 stars not to mention, I can’t remember if it was Henry or Joe… But the Asian guy who actually did my smog was very knowledgable in what he was doing. We finished everything within 20 mins of me coming through the door.

Certificate: $ 8.25
There’s also a $ 1.75 charge for something else that I’m not really sure what it was…
2^nd Retest free if you fail the frist time.
I would definitely come back if I need to do smog again. :)

Worst smog service ever! I would caution anyone who wants to go here. These guys are thieves. I called this place on behalf of my cousin around noon and asked specifically if they will do the smog on a 1991 Toyota WITH the coupon they had on the web (for $ 29.99). The guy who answered the phone said yes and that he would also need to do the EVAP test for $ 15. My cousin went there with the coupon for the above stated car, and the guy failed the smog purposely (knowing that the timing needed to be repaired) AND then refused to take the coupon and charged the whole price.
He then refused to do a repeat smog if my cousin comes back on the same day after repairing the timing. My cousin had to take this car within 1.5 hours back to the DMV to show the smog, and now he can’t do that. Think twice before using this service. They are not known to keep their word. Worst smog place ever. If I could give less than 1 star I would!
