The wait at boiling crab was an hour and I was starving so my BF and I decided to try someplace new. It’s located in the same plaza as Daiso. It’s pretty small, about 5 booths and then a few more tables in the center to seat larger parties and half booth half table combos on the other wall. Lots of writing/tagging all over the place. There were 5 TVs but what bugged me was the beer banners that were covering the tvs! Those should be taken down and out somewhere else. Bathroom wasn’t very clean. Server wasn’t very friendly but at least she checked up on us multiple times to see if everything was good. They don’t charge you for water. Each person in your party gets a container of salt & pepper and they aren’t stingy with their likes! I’m in love with Cajun fries at BC and was hoping hat the fries here would be just as good but they were not. I think they soaked up a lot of oil because they were soggy and kind of greasy, the seasoning wasn’t too bad though. For the shrimp, we got a lb with all the sauces, mild and 6 sausages. Let me warn you, the sausages here are pretty sad looking. They’re not big and juicy :/the shrimp sauce was good but I didn’t like how half my shrimp were SO hard to peel. It was like the shell got fused into the shrimp so I just ate it while, shell and all(without the tail of course). I’m not sure if it was because the shrimp was over cooked or old. I think I’ll be back because the sauce here is pretty good.

My wife and I have been here 7 tomes prior to tonight. The food is always good, the service is not good! Tonight we had the taste for some seafood and chose Michael’s. So we ordered several items and as we were waiting I decided to post a review on Unilocal and saw that if you spend $ 50 or more you get a free lb. if clams or mussels. So I figured we odered $ 50 worth, I called over the server and showed her the Unilocal deal… she said«sure no problem, how spicy would you like» a few minutes later she came back and said your bill so far is $ 49.96 so you have to .04 cents more before I can give you that deal…“I said are you serious” .04 cents… so I said well we ordered everything we wanted why would I order more just to get the free pound essentially it’s like paying for it then. I said«can’t you make an exception, I mean it’s .04 cents, she said „nope“…“sorry» so I said ok we will leave just charge us for our drinks. I gave her a $ 5 and guess what the change was .04 cents hahaha that was her tip. Seriously the worst attitude and service. Many people are complaining about this place and the owners do not care at all. Let’s stop supporting this business, they definitely don’t care for their customers…

Our go-to place! Food is always great, the place is comfortable and familiar, and great for hanging out with friends. Quick and friendly service, and definitely has a shorter wait time(if at all) than Boiling Crab. Been here so many times, and very highly recommended!

Pretty decent seafood. You can’t go wrong with the fried oysters. I’m not much fan of seafood, but they’re shrimp is ok.

It’s been a roller coaster of a ride with Michael and his cajun seafood but I think it’s finally time for me to move on to bigger and better things like Kickin’ Crab or Stinkin’ Crawfish. My party of 6 ordered well over $ 50 worth of food, which just so happened to include 1 pound of clams. If you check-in to Unilocal and spend $ 50, you get a free pound of clams. Having forgotten about the Unilocal deal and realizing it much later in our meal, the server brought out our check and I showed her my check-in. She said I couldn’t use it because I was supposed to let them know beforehand and her manager wouldn’t let her accept it. We opted for the free clams to-go and the server RE-PRINTED our check to reflect the Unilocal deal. I was beyond frustrated by that point and still don’t understand why she couldn’t just re-print the check and give us the pound of clams we had ordered initially for free. Our clams were basically BOGO but Michael’s Cajun will now be a no go for us. TL;DR Check-in to Unilocal for the $ 50/free pound of clams offer when you order otherwise when the check rolls around, they won’t honor it.

I’ve been here about 4 times, the food isn’t bad and the service ehh it’s okay. It’s a hit and miss the times I’ve come. Sometimes it takes them a while to come check on you. I came again last night and everything like the usual, okay service and decent food. I come home a few hours later not feeling well at all. Threw up a couple times and had the runs): I didn’t want to blame their food, but the people I went with last night were feeling the same way. So we proablly got a bad batch of shrimp or something. But I don’t think I’ll be back, I don’t want to get sick again):

I actually like this spot much better than Boiling Crabs, though it’s much smaller, the service is quicker and wait is shorter. The food is good, and it’s local and not too crowded. Often the smaller ma & pa shops gives better service than larger chain restaurants.

Mmm if you are on a budget then yes this place is ok. Shrimp is over cooked and tough but the seasoning makes up for it. Its 1 pound minimum so if you dont eat a lot then get a pound to share. Honestly if you really want good food, fork over the extra $ 7 bucks a lb and go to boiling crab. Their food is better and the service is impecible there. Service here, its ok but one of the waitresses is really rude and acts like she is in a big rush over maybe 5 tables between her and the other waitress. Then she gives the check while your half way through your food and when youre done, she comes and asks for payment. Ummmn… no thats not how its done. You have to have good customer service or you will run customers off. Sorry but I didnt leave her a tip

Ate here on a Tuesday night and wasn’t really busy which was good. Shared a bag of shrimp«Michael’s Style» and medium spicy with my girlfriend. We also ordered the fried catfish which came with Cajun fries. Food: The shrimp was okay but the sauce they cook it in was slightly on the bland side. Also wasn’t spicy at all in my opinion. The catfish however, was even worse. Rubbery and stale texture which I assume was from being frozen for too long. We ordered the fries medium spicy as well, but when we received them they weren’t seasoned at all. Not even salt. Returned them, then got them back with a thick coating of cayenne pepper. Now they were over seasoned and a chore to eat. Service: Service was okay. One of the girls kept forgetting to give us salt and pepper but at least the other girl was more attentive. Didn’t have any trouble with the staff considering I’ve read some of the reviews about this place. Overall: To sum it up: this is a mediocre Cajun restaurant. When there’s other similar restaurants sprouting up all over the place within a 5 mile radius, you better at least keep up in quality. Even at a $ 10 price point I wouldn’t recommend this place. Try your luck elsewhere.

An alternative to Boiling Crab. I would prefer coming here since I wouldn’t have to wait as long. My brother was craving this so decided to go to Michael’s Cajun. The first thing I see when I walk in. is some kind of bug crawling on one of their tables… *ew*(Gross?! We sat from the opposite side of that specific table) For mouths of two this is what we ordered [Yes, we feasted] Half dozen raw oyster — pretty big and juicy. it comes with hot sauce and cocktail sauce. Wish they gave us some lemon instead of lime. King crab leg — mild spicy 2 pound shrimp [medium spicy] — if you order 2 pounds, they give you free corn with it! Cajun fries — MUST order!(or sweet potato fries!) compliments so well with the marinated shrimp Sausages — you can order either 6 pieces or a dozen to come with your marinated shrimp! Since our total was over $ 50 bucks(before tax), we received a free 1pound of clams!(or you can choose mussel but I prefer clams). *This only applies when you check in on Unilocal! Overall, we enjoyed our meal. just the bug on the table put me off.

overpriced $ 77.59 bill. not fresh shrimps are gooey. horrible«service» disservice. stale food staler service. the rude«manager» asian guy behind the counter would not seat us at the 4 empty seats with no reserved sign, started arguing with me, saying he has to save it for a phone reservation coming in 10 mins. rude asian guy the genius said wait 10 minutes and we will have another table ready. to «genius»: why not give next table which according to u, will magically appear in 10 mins for your make believe phone reservation arriving in 10 mins? 1) there is no reserved sign on empty table; 2) we 4 persons, senior, pregnant, kid are standing right in front of you. u rude f. he caused us to almost leave aside from my son being so hungry, we would. but what a mistake, we should hv left. we were treated like shit the whole evening. rude genius even gave me a death stare. 2 waitresses took turns to ignore us, walking away from our table so many times so obvious we will get no service with no drinks refilled, no paper towels til i had to walk up to counter to get it myself 3x. self service. come here for overpriced stale food and horrible service. and no, we did not get any free corns nor sausage for ordering more than 2 lbs, no nothing. we are charged 75cents per corn. WEALSODIDNOTGETFREELBOFMUSSELSORCLAMSFOR $ 50SPENT, you rude money grabbing a-holes. not even a damn refill drink for $ 80 spent shame on u for treating seniors and pregnant this shitty way. you should get an award for walking away so skilfully running away from customers practically, treating your customers like shit. my $ 2 tip was too generous for your crap. never again!!! i will take my money somewhere else. Feel like I am getting the runs to bathroom. Yeeew

Short version: 83% +Highly recommend going with a group of friends, the more, the better your experience. Not sure if it would have been that fun as a couple. +Michael’s style all the way! +Use the bib! –Stay clear of the oysters, spend your money on the shrimp and muscles. Atmosphere(4⁄5) — Extremely relaxed, casual and laid back vibe. The first thing you notice when you walk in is the complete organized chaos on the walls. Graffiti, names, signatures and random marks left by patrons give a very unique down to earth feeling. Definitely a place for a younger crowd if you’re going by strictly appearance. Presentation(5⁄5) — As soon as we sat down our waitress came to our table with a giant piece of wax paper for the table and dumped salt, pepper and lime wedges onto the table. Our shrimp and muscles came out in the typical steamed bags which were filled with just the right ratio of Michael’s style sauce and seafood. The food was still very hot but we couldn’t wait! This is a place where you can’t be afraid to get down and dirty! Come prepared to roll your sleeves up and feel like a giant kid with bibs on.(Yes you actually need to use the bib). Taste(8⁄10) — Our group ordered: — Half a dozen oysters — 2 lb. of shrimp.(Michael’s Style, mild) — 1 lb. of muscles.(Michael’s Style, mild) The oysters were a bit small, original and nothing special about them. They were a bit grainy and sandy as well which was a big turnoff. We would recommend passing on them. You’re better off going to an oyster bar with a nice selection if you’re in the mood for oysters. The good news however, was that our experience only goes uphill from here. The shrimp and muscles sizes are very generous which is a huge plus! The sauce was fantastic, just the right amount of kick and spices without overpowering the seafood goodness! We HIGHLY recommend the Michael’s style sauce! Price-to-Value(3⁄5) — The prices are just what you would expect to pay for at a typical seafood joint. No great deals, but nothing terribly over priced. We do wish we hadn’t ordered the oysters though. However, the overall taste and eating experience would put Michael’s at the to of our seafood list. Would we return(5⁄5) — Absolutely! We’d even go out of our way to round up a group of friends and head over to grab some seafood! Definitely a place for close friends to just chill and eat some good food.

THEWORSTSERVICEEVER. I was surprised because I never had this experience in normal restaurants. They never come ask you if you need to be seated even they know that we stepped in to the store, they’ll show their bad attitude when you come talk to them, treat you like they want us to leave, the waitress never comes to your table if you don’t stop them, just so rude for every conversation. The food was good but we’re never coming back. Maybe they are nicer to the people who lives around this area. I don’t know.

So we wanted to eat boiling crab but decided not to because a almost 2 hr wait was not worth it… Someone had recommended this place to us so we decided to check it out. We were already pleased with the NO wait… We just walked in, had a seat and they took our order. WOW! We had the Shrimp with corn and sausages(mild cuz Im a sissy) and some Cajun fries… Hands down WAY better then Boling Crab… I am most definitely coming back. No wait no hassel…
