This place is awesome!!! The doctor is excellent! My prescription glasses and sunglasses have made it fun for me to drive again, now that I can see! I must give a special shout out to Elsa Arellanes for walking me through step by step to pick out the perfect specs for me. She is highly knowledgeable in every aspect of this business. Now Elsa found the perfect pair of sunglasses for my girlfriend too! I’m pretty sure she’s earned her way onto our Christmas card list :) In all seriousness, if you need help seeing this is the best place in Southern California to get hooked up!

The whole staff was very helpful. Dr Christine Chang Wu was very knowledge, professional and caring. The office manager Elsa Arellanes was so kind, knowledge and extremely caring. I had an emergency situation, they got me in to see the doctor in a timely manner. The whole staff was helpful. I would say that the whole experience was very nice. I would definitely recommend this office A+.

I’m only giving this place 1 star and that’s for the really great experience with Dr. Shirley Hong. She was really friendly and knowledgeable and was a pleasure working with — everyone else? not so much.
After I met with the doc on Saturday, I needed to order new hard contacts and she said they couldn’t order til Monday but should be in Wed/​Thurs. By Friday I hadn’t heard anything so I called and they said it wasn’t ready – try early next week. I called the following Tuesday — still NOT READY. I’m not sure why it took so long – it should’ve only taken 2 – 3 business days instead it took 7 – 8 business days. Quite a wait for something that is essential for someone who has poor eye sight.
Then when I finally got the call that they were ready – I tried to make an appointment with the doctor to make sure my hard lens were fitted correctly however the girl at the front desk seemed to not know whether I’d be able to see a doctor or not. I also asked her what my final balance would be and she didn’t seem to know for certain either – she seemed iffy. Finally I made the appointment to have my contact lens fitted and also have my eyes dialated.
I’m supposed to have this appointment tomorrow, and NOW they call me to tell me that they don’t have dialation drops and if they don’t get any by tomorrow then i can’t get my eyes dialated. Normally I wouldn’t care whether my eyes were dialated or not, but Dr. Hong said I should because of my high prescription. Im not sure how things work there — but I made this follow up appt 10 days ago they should’ve been more prepared. Now I have no idea if I’ll be getting my eyes dialated or not which wastes not only my time, but my mother’s as well, as you cannot drive after your eyes are dialated so you need to bring someone with you.
Thought I’d give this place a shot. Never come back.

We love Metropolitan Optometry. The Manager, Elsa and the Doctor there are just wonderful.
The Doctor is super nice and knowledgeable.
Elsa is always accommodating and is a pro at what she does. She will go out of her way to find you the best pair of glasses that suits your face shape.
If they have your glasses in-​house with the prescription, they will make them then and there.
I have recommended this place to several people and all have been overtly satisfy with the service and the glasses.
If you are looking for an eye exam and new glasses/​contacts, you have found the place to go to.

I am an HR Manager and have been referring my employees to this Optometry for years. The Office Manager Elsa is the best and has treated all my employees with the best service. I personally look forward to my eye exam every year. If you haven’t decided on an a Optometry, you should choose Metropolitan.

I was shopping around in Diamond Plaza a few months ago and found this nice glasses store in the center. Very nice décor and setup. I was looking for some new sunglasses for the summer. I bought some Versace sunglasses and felt like I got a great price. Very happy! Elsa, the lady who helped me, was so kind and had the best customer service skills I have ever seen! She greeted me and was so easy to talk to. I can tell she really cares about her customers. While there, when a customer walked in she remembered the person’s name right away and greeted them. This is my new go to place for sunglasses and eyewear!
