A hipster boba joint that was good but nothing worth raving about. Yummy beverages but this isn’t the place to go to for exceptional tea quality. Ordered the green tea mango vanilla latte(that cost $ 4.75 for a small!?) and felt that my drink was over powered by half/half and artificial mango/vanilla flavoring. Will try other places before coming back here.

2.25 stars rounded down to 2 stars. Only been here once for its boba milk tea(the typical order), but the drink was enough to let me know why this place deserves a 3-star rating. Many of my friends have been here multiple times, but I don’t see its hype. It’s just a go-to place for a quick boba drink if you’re thirsty. Portion Size:(4⁄5) Drinks are very big and very filling. I saw the medium and large drinks, so I was stunned to see its size. It’s nice to have a boba place that gives a large serving size, but it is quite pricey compared to other boba places($ 4 – 6 here compared to $ 2 – 4 elsewhere). Quality of Drink:(1⁄5) Poor. After hearing what my friends have said, I was extremely excited to try their drinks. Even though I asked for half sugar, the drink was overly sweet that I felt very disgusted every time I tasted the milk tea. I did not like how the boba was extremely warm compared to the milk tea(it tasted funky). Service:(2⁄5) Could be better. I waited ten minutes for a drink when there was nobody else there. It was 1:00PM too, and it was hot… but ten minutes for a boba milk tea? Bleh. Overall Impression:(2⁄5) I expected way better from a place like this. It took me about ten minutes to finally get my drink, and I was the only person waiting there, so I was unhappy about that, but I probably will not revisit.

Good boba milk tea ! A must have ! There is always a line but it’s worth it. The lines are long but compare to others they are pretty fast. Also most of them are closed Tuesday.

This place is great! Staff is accommodating, flavors/combinations are plentiful, and boba is tasty. I recommend the black sesame milk tea with boba and egg pudding!

Half and Half has to be my all favorite place for the iced milk drink. My cousins showed this place to me years ago, but I was never into it. Just recently did I fall in love. I typically order the #1, which is the iced milk drink with pudding, honey boba and caramel. Some places have it with grass jelly, but I just simply replace it. Depending on my mood, I’ll ask for light or heavy caramel. The boba is so delicious. I love the texture of it. Definitely not near me, but sometimes I get massive cravings that I do not mind the drive at all. The wait can be very long sometimes, but it’s understandable since it does get VERY busy. Highly recommend because this place won’t disappoint!

Everyone’s been to half and half, so it doesn’t really need another review. They’re one of the first ones to start serving the iced milk drink and they do it well. I love their big cups, pudding and honey boba! They have a top 10 list if you’re new and don’t know what to order!

Long lines… cash only… yep. But that still doesn’t change that the make the best boba drinks. I love their boba, but always gotta add the pudding. The pudding, is not to sweet and it makes a funny noise when you slurp it up through the straw but just love it. The long lines are cause people that know boba know this place is good. The cash only is the owners choice, but yeah, they should change that. At any rate Half and Half is the place to get kick ass boba drinks. And yeah, their regular is pretty big.

This place always hits the spot. Today I got lucky and there was no wait. Usually If you come prime time, it’s a guaranteed 1hr wait. Ice milk with honey boba and grass jelly!

I always make my way out for some amazing boba! I drive 30 – 50 minutes just to visit Half & Half, and it’s definitely worth the drive. I came here yesterday and I noticed that their Top 10 menu has changed, so beware, for the regulars! I always get their Iced Milk Drink with Egg Pudding and Boba. Sometimes, I get their Almond Milk Tea with boba(super creamy)! My brother is a fan of their Strawberry Milk Tea. I gave it a four star, but I’d love to give it a five eventually. The workers here look like they don’t like their job, but I’ve noticed some new hires who are very positive. Also, it’s so loud when I give them my order, that I’m afraid they might have taken my order wrong; the cashiers don’t repeat back my order. Drinks are still great, regardless. Almost the end of May! One free upgrade on drinks, so get em while you can!

I used to love bubble tea, but oftentimes they’re just so sweet that I quit drinking them a long time ago. However, we happened to be in the area and my friend’s son wanted some boba tea… so here we came. We walked in the back door… or was that the front? …and there was already a very long line formed right up to the door. There are no tables in this place… just benches that I figure are for waiting for your drinks after you’ve reached the order/cashier counter… it took us almost 15 – 20 minutes to get to our turn to order… so I was thinking to myself that this place had better be that good! Note… like everyone knows now, it’s cash only! I guess if you order one of their popular drinks, the faster it will be prepared and will be ready for you at the pick up window. Unfortunately, I guess we also ordered the less popular hot grass jelly… mine with red bean and taro, and my friend’s with taro. We had also ordered a half and half boba coffee which is considered one their popular drinks. However, since it seemed the whole order would come out together, we actually waited a good 10 – 15 minutes for our drinks…3−4 people who were behind us in line had collected their drinks before us. Finally, we got our drinks… hmmmm, tasted different, but was actually quite good. Ok, the thick grass jelly… often eaten as an actual jelly when cold… had a gluey consistency to it and tasted rather like a Chinese herbal drink… probably not to many non-asians’ liking. I liked the red bean and taro in it though… yum! Probably a bit sweet for me, but it was interesting to have tried it anyway. Service was quite good… very friendly and bubbly cashier and enthusiastic drink preparer frantically trying to get the orders out as fast as they can. Prices are very reasonable too. This baba craze is likely not something I am going to get hooked on again, but may be a place I’d visit once in a blue moon if I’d been a good boy. I think it’s more popular with the younger crowd.

You’re driving down Colima and your sweet tooth is kicking in to overdrive. Up ahead is half and half, zero degrees, and Phoenix Inn, and you can feel this black hole-like plaza begin to suck you in. Before you know it you’ve lost control of the wheel, and some time passes and then you pull your key out of the ignition and now you’re faced with a monumental decision. Which establishment is going to take my money today? I must admit that I am not much of a sweet tooth so this dilemma is something I rarely have to deal with. But, when I do, I will almost always choose half and half. — For some unexplainable reason this half and half spot actually lives up to the name«express». In the few times I have been here the time lapse between ordering your drink and getting it is quite minimal. This cannot be said for other half and half spots I’ve been too. — I am a boring person, a basic milk tea will make me happy. That means that for $ 2.58 my sweet tooth is satisfied and my stomach is satiated(they got some big-kid size drinks here)! Do they got the best tea in the world, not by a long shot. Do they treat every customer like they’re seasoned criminals that are about to rob the place blind? The surveillance camera and constant updates they post on the register and walls of people who’ve stolen from them or other stuff say yes. But does this place get the job done and take me back to the days of yesteryear? Yepppp

One register Cash Only Express = no tables May 2016 = Anniversary(free upgrades for 1 drink in your purchase, does not apply to phone orders) My favorite go-to drink is always the Iced Milk Drink w/Honey Boba and Grass Jelly. The milk balances out the sweetness of the honey boba. I rarely get boba but coming here this past weekend also reminded me that the wait here is just ridiculous. There is only 1 register and the wait to order is quite long, and then there is the wait for your drink to be ready. The word«express» does not apply here. It only means that there are no tables to enjoy your items. However, I still prefer their boba over Tea Station and Ten Ren so I will always be back when I have a boba craving. There are a lot of items on their menu, but I have yet to try them. Not sure how their teas are but I most definitely recommend their iced milk drinks. There are only two sizes offered, regular and large. Parking is give or take depending on the time of day you go. They do offer stamp cards but other location stamp cards may not apply here(ie San Gabriel).

Eh, I decided to give this place another go. My first experience, they made me wait a good 15 to 20 minutes for our drink. They had run out of boba and they decided to tell us AFTERWHENEVERYBODYELSE’S ORDERSWERECOMPLETEBEFOREUSINSTEADOFTELLINGUSBEFORE. We wasted 20 minutes for nothing… After that had happened, we got a full refund and left immediately. Two years later, I came back. I wasn’t expecting the greatest service, but I wanted my experience to be better than the first time. They still haven’t met my standards, but at least I got my drink fairly faster this time. There are so many good boba spots in Rowland Heights and I will definitely not be coming back here to this locations. The people that work here tend to not care about customer service as well. I would give them a 1 star, but since I at least got my drink this time, 2 stars it is!

Serious this place is getting worse and worse… We called our oder in to avoid the stupid lines. We were told that the drinks would be ready in 30 minutes so we showed up 30 minutes later. By the time we got there they still hadn’t made out drinks yet! Slowest service ever!

Yes I know. You really come here for their specialty drinks but I didn’t want to have a heart attack so I just ordered their regular milk tea. It didn’t taste like milk tea. It had a weird after taste and I waited a good 30 minutes for this drink. Service is quite slow as well, even though a girl ordered like 10 drinks before us but still, it was a crazy wait. You can just see people being really miserable waiting for their drinks. Also, ok I get their fat cups make a great picture but where in the hell do you put it in your car while driving??? That was the worst because while driving, everything was spilling –__– NOTE: Cash Only

I came very out of the way JUST to come to Half & Half. Before I get into the nitty gritty, be advised that it’s CASHONLY!!! CASHONLY!!! CASHONLY!!! I live in Taipei and I never… ever travel more than 5 mins for bubble tea. I moved to Taiwan shortly after that visit, but ever since I had Half & Half five years ago, I have deemed it one of the best bubble teas I have ever had. I wanted to try Half & Half and see how it compared to bubble tea places in Taiwan. I ordered the half and half(green) milk tea. It’s still has the BEST bubbles that I have ever had. I can’t really say too much about the milk tea. It’s much better than most the milk teas I have had in the states, but it still loses(by a little) to Taiwan milk tea. When I walked into the store, it seemed like I would wait half a year for my bubble tea with the amount of people that were waiting there! However, it was only a 10 – 15 minute wait. I do not know about the convenience of the location, if you’re coming off the highway here, there was a lot of traffic near the major intersection down the street, but this is LA, when is there not traffic? All in all, you can’t go wrong with the quality and price of Half & Half. Under 3 bucks for bubble tea in the states which is THIS good, is tough to find. There’s no doubt I would visit Half & Half tea house every time I visit LA.

I love love love Half and Half, but this location’s name is quite misleading. Not only does the line move at snail pace, the drinks come out in even slower! Order: — Iced Milk Drink with pudding and honey boba — Iced Milk Drink with caramel, grass jelly, and honey boba Cash only, so bring your dollar bills! Pro tip: Call in your order to pick up. $ 10 minimum, which should be pretty easy. Buy all the boba for yourself! :)

My favorite milk tea place in AMERICA! I love their almond milk tea the most. So freaken good. Just enough tea and milk blended together. Adding BOBA to any of the drinks is a must. Their boba is so good because its honey boba and always have the right chewiness. Additional to the boba, I also add their real taro chunks. They are sweet. So delicious. Wish they have one in San Francisco. I would make 2 visit per a day to the closest Half and Half when I’m in LA. On super hot days, I like their wintermelon ice tea with aloe. So refreshing! Large please! Line is always long, only because they have the best milk tea with boba EVER! This location however has a shorter wait time. SUPERPLUS!

Oh the parking… It might have been sufficient on an ordinary day, but the boba place next door is having some sort of grand opening and there is an insanely long line… and, I assume, explains the presence of so many cars in a center with a very large parking area when most of the businesses in this center appear to be closed. Good Lavender Honey Good Milk Tea Coffee Very Good Chocolate — better than others
