AMC Puente Hills 20

As a dedicated AMC stubs member this is my «go-​too» location. If u are a movie stud, it’s a great rewards program! The staff is very nice and always helpful. I usually come on weekdays as a treat for myself to relax and it’s safe –especially when you are the only one in the theater!!! I love the iMax 3-​D shows!!! They also have a huge selection of soda pop. Note: One thing they do have to get is cookie dough candy it’s my daughters fav!!!

I tried this theater for the first time. It is far from where i live but it was the only theater playing Ip Man 3.(great movie btw) I saw the first showing @ 11am. The seats were very dirty with stains. The seats are small and uncomfortable. I will not go to this specific theater again unless the movie i want to see is only playing here.

DONT COME TO THIS AMC!!! Security were being very rude to us. We brought the ticket but we accidentally throw it away and he so we went to the wrong theater. He was following us all the way and ask us to leave very rudely. When we try to tell him that he can asks the doorman who check the ticket, he refuse and continue to ask us to get out. It as a very UNPLEASANT experience. We will never come to this theater again!

When I use to live close to Puente Hills this would be the theatre that I would go to but than for some reason I stopped going here and recently I have been back it has been super updated. It looks nice and pretty clean. They have stepped up the movie experience and even has some type of bar on the side where you can get alcoholic drinks I believe.
Don’t worry they still serve regular sodas and even ICEE’s. We came here during IpMan3 and we didn’t want there to be busy so we got the 11:30 showing which made our tickets only $ 6.00 I believe. If you go to any movie before the afternoon it’s a discounted price so just a little Fyi for you.
Ordered nachos and a large ICEE to enjoy the show, but what is sad is they stopped having jalapeño’s with them! I use to love that and now they took it away! Why would they do such a thing like that! That was the best thing with ordering nachos. Please bring it back.

I wouldn’t recommend this theatre to anyone! STAY AWAY, bad service and dirty environment. They do not deserve any stars.

WOW, has this place gone downhill. I remember when this theatre was the gem of the Puente Hills mall… now it’s as sad and neglected as the rest of the mall. It was really sad to see this place so depressing. The bathrooms were absolutely filthy. The entire floor was littered with popcorn and trash. The ticket booth took forever to move through the line making us late for our movie.
The only positives I have to say was that the actual theatre we sat in was very clean (at least from what I could tell) and the audio and screen was clear and clean. The popcorn was DELICIOUS!!!

The service here was terrible. I have to clearify and say that the actual «workers» that helped us were mostly friendly and helpful to a certain degree… the 1 star mainly applies to the management (or lack of) at this theatre. There was no cleaning being done what so ever. There was only 1 person serving concessions which made it very very VERY slow and eventually made us miss the beginning of the movie. They had 3 Coke machines where 2 were out of everything which created a log jam at the one available machine.
It was just frustrating to see plenty of workers in the theatre (some joking and laughing in the hallways with each other) but so many things that needed attention that weren’t being done. Definitely a reflection on the management at this theatre.

The only reason this theatre gets a 2 and not 1 star is because the actual theatre we saw the movie in was relatively clean. Aside from that, this place was a disaster.
The lobby floors were littered with popcorn and trash. The concession area was sticky and greasy… yuck. And the men’s restrooms??? Well, let’s just say that if you need to use the restroom at this theatre get ready to do a complete body sterilization afterwards and burn all your clothes or just simply hold it and pray your movie isn’t too long. It is nasty in there!!!

The actual theatre was decent. No weird smells, no sticky floors, no problems with the audio or screen. Once you brave the disgusting, third world conditions in the lobby and concession stand, the theatre is actually really nice.

This theatre is so dated!!! I can’t believe they haven’t done any decent remodel for over 15 years! This AMC used to be super popular back in the 90s. There are a many theaters too. But I guess everyone prefers to go to the Arcadia AMC instead. This AMC isn’t as busy as most theaters!
So it’s a good place to watch if there is a popular movie just released!
I didn’t particularly enjoyed the bathroom! Very dirty and it smelled!!! There was also tissue papers all over the floor. The worst experience was when I saw a condom left on the floor at the exit of my theatre entrance! This was a disappointment especially since this occurred on a Friday afternoon at 4 pm. That’s was so gross and I will never forget it! This was so inappropriate and especially since I watched Star Wars which was only rated as a PG13 movie! I’m sure there were kids in the theatre and I would feel bad for all the parents that who brought their kids. Sigh… Much disappointment and will not plan to come here again! I’ll take my business to AMC Arcadia!

They’ve added a full bar to the theatre, which certainly makes the place more attractive to those who find it appealing. Trying to be like Arclight offering drinks.
What management needs to Improve is the cleanliness of the theatre, the restroom facilities, the long slow lines to get popcorn. The operation of this place is really horrible.

Came here to watch the conjuring.
Conveniently located inside puente hills mall. This place is nostalgic for me in the sense i used to watch movies here all the time with friends. We would watch back to back movies (yes sneaking in which i don’t recommend anybody doing lol because there’s no such thing as a free lunch) than walk around the mall. Good times.
The movie was great. I love my ghost/​paranormal/​supernatural/​zombie movies so i absolutely loved it. Good job james wan.
The theater itself hasn’t changed one bit. Same carpet, same remarkably comfortable plush seats, same concession stand and same restroom. Nothing has changed and i like it. Some things should remain the same. Pretty clean too. Glad to see people are doing their jobs. Only thing that has changed however is the price. Adults are almost $ 15.00. I remember it being cheaper. Than again, it was the 90s.
Free drink refills. If you’re in the mood for a good movie without the lines and don’t mind experience over ambiance, give this place a try.

The last but most important is: I watched most of the movies here; here carries a lot of my good memories.
Movie stories always reflect the reality of our lives, and carries a click on my feeling. I choose to relax my self by a movie, because I always can feel something different about life.
I read some of the reviews on this pages. I understood people who were not satisfied, and I believed what they described was true. Bless those! May you have a better experience next time wherever u r.

Took my little brother to watch Goosebumps! The movie was really good. We had 10 minutes before the movie started (after the credits), & see the line of about 15 customers ahead of us. 3 people were working. Didn’t want to miss the beginning. But wanted to get him popcorn and an icee! Waited in line for about 5 minutes, until another person decided to open another register.
MISSED THE BEGINNING. –_​–
After the movie, we went to refill our icee. A worker ran to stop my brother. We started to walk away from the machine, & I see a customer from the same movie as us refilling his soda cup with icee. AND the worker that stopped us was still standing beside him, just letting him. Ridiculous.

I love the location of this AMC! It is so close to my house and very convenient! I don’t have to leave my house till 10 min before the movie starts. There are plenty of parking at this particular AMC. It is also located in the mall.
This movie theater is one of the bigger theater and always had tons of movies! So really no need to go anywhere else. This location is always clean. The staff always friendly.

This is a nice theater with decent seats. Concession stands have been upgraded since two years ago. They have diy drink stations with an assortment of soda and syrup flavors. The price did increase a little bit but I figure it’s paying for the movie experience.
Staff are cool and friendly. Normally, they are fast and efficient. I would like going here for the convenience of walking the mall before the movie starts.
Cleanliness is ok. It is a little bit worn out through the years but the seats are somewhat clean.

we were at movie house 14 watching Jurassic World — and the bathrooms were all the way at the end of the hall but it wasnt too far.
gaaah! they have decided to use the raptors on the hybrid rex! theyre moving onto the raptor cage!
i still really needed to go to the bathroom so i still made it back to my seat before the raptors were released from their cage.

The staff was friendly & pretty good. My complaint lies with the patrons. If you want your movie ruined by obnoxious teens, this is the place. During our viewing of Avengers: Age of Ultron on a weekday afternoon during June, I had for the first time in my life, had to deal with rude behavior on ALL sides of me. I was seated in the middle. Had to tell the people to my right to shut up twice. Had to turn around after 2 hours of what felt like the back of my seat was being bicycle kicked to tell the guy to stop. There were obnoxiously loud fake geek teens shouting out random trivia that was common knowledge to my left. They were a lost cause to reprimand, seeing as their group was loud, large, and there was only the pair of us.
The most rude were the morbidly obese teens in front of us looking at Unilocal restaurant food photos with screen on full brightness during the movie. I’m a kid who understands the allure of food porn, but I had to tap the girl on her soft, marshmallowy shoulder and tell her we can could see her screen from behind. These two were also the most vocal during the movie, talking loudly during every lull in action… Their constant chatting over the dialogue made it difficult to concentrate. The offenders in the theater were racially diverse, and with their powers combined, made for an unpleasant experience.

The AMC theatre is the best in the area imho. Offering IMAX and 3D screens are nice options. Tickets are not cheap at $ 12 a pop but there are a few ways to save on tickets. 1) Sign up for their email\text updates where you get all kinds of offerings but once in awhile you’ll get offerred free tickets to preview a movie. 2) Get on their Rewards Card Program. After purchasing so many tickets you’ll get a free movie ticket. Back in the late 90s and onward when movies were packing it I started to buy tickets for our group as much 10 — 14 at a time. At the height of this, it was gtting to be 3o tickets at a time. I and a few others were always the ones to get there very early to get tickets when they first open for the day to secure tickets before selling out. Worked out great for everyone and I got several free tickets this way plus free pop corn and soda. That works good still especially if you’re an avid movie goer like me. 3) If you catch a show time before 12pm the tickets are $ 6.99, not bad. If you take advantage of that, you’re saving closer to 40%. 4) Buy the prepaid tickets at Costco or Sams Club that saves you 33%. After you turn these in for regular tickets, go to customer service so they can credit your Rewards Card. BOOM! You just got a little trade secret how to maximize your savings. The next level you can take your savings to is if you charge it on your card that gets you points or miles.
When I do come back to visit and want to watch a movie, this is where I like to come. It holds many fond memories and I still consider it a good theater to watch the latest block buster hits. The main theaters are big, and that’s what I like. It’s part of the ambiance of watching a movie that is disappearing. They use to be even bigger than that decades before.
The food and drink prices, like everywhere else, is high. This is where a theater makes it’s money. They don’t normally make enough off the movies. Even though I understand that, I still like to make sure I eat before going so I don’t have to spend so much on food. I tend to at least get a large drink because the are refillable.
The place is fairly clean most of the time unless it’s busy when there’s so much people it can get trashed. They do clean the room after each showing. They do have a schedule for the bathrooms to be cleaned frequently through out the day so I know it is priority on their duty roster.
In the past, even currently today, the younger crowd can get rowdy and rude as they are just coming into adult hood thinking they rule the world. I don’t mind if this is happening before the previews. I’ll even participate for say like if their bouncing a beach ball but once the previews start it’s time to get civil. Some times they just need to be reminded to be civil and to calm down. When it does look like it is getting to be not a good experience I let the manager know. It sucks for me bc now I’m missing part of the movie. They don’t act quickly but eventually they do get to it and everything is fine after that.
Parking is abundant but on the busier nights you may have to do a little walk to get inside the mall as you may find parking in the more remote areas. That’s the breaks.
I still love the movie theater experience and this is one of my fave places to go.

Nothing that stands out to me. Just a regular movie theater some of the smaller size movie theaters can get a bit stuffy and smelly. I just like to convenience of the theater being close to home and I’ll come here to watch a movie last minute. Staff is all friendly and helpful.
Tips: If you don’t want to wait in line to buy a ticket, buy it on Fandango and print it at the kiosk!

My go to theater for movies lol… since its super close to me and usually theres always show times! For the most part, this theater is kept pretty clean! As for the restrooms, it just really depends who’s on shift I guess. I have been to 3 stalls in a row with no toilet paper or covers –_​_​– I like that their chairs are pretty big and comfortable, I can sit indian style while I watch the movie :)
I must warn you lol that sometimes the crowd here is very «unclassy & rude,» I don’t know why people do the things they do lol. For example, talk/​text during the actual movies (i don’t mean the previews), bringing their kids that keep on talking/​crying (get a baby sitter please and leave them at home), PDA to the max (keep that at home or a hotel please), or you will have someone that sits behind you and keeps kicking your chair –_​_​_​-​«
Honestly, movies cost a lot now a days and we all work hard for our money and we would like to enjoy it with relative peace and relaxation.
