Was in the mood for Chinese food and I had to go to the outlet so it conveniently worked out. To be honest, I was worried at first from what I saw. I ordered the two entrée combo with fried rice. I chose the Kung Pao chicken and black pepper chicken. The Kung Pao chicken was good. Typically they deep fry the chicken but they didnt on this… so plus! Black pepper chicken was good. The food was good and it was just what I wanted. If you want to taste it they will allow you to try it before you get it. Who can beat that!?!

Outlet mall Chinese — I was just as skeptical as you might be. But this place is really great. They have spicy bourbon chicken(It may not be out, but they will make it) that is out of this world. We eat here typically once a week and just now started to try something outside of that. The orange chicken is amazing and quite delicious. Luke F. had a complaint with the noodles — we have had that problem once or twice, so definitely could see that but it’s not an overall theme I find.

Orange chicken and white rice were great. However the noodles were a terrible disappointment, they looked like they’d be delicious but tasted like cardboard.

How does this place NOT have any reviews yet?! I took a six hour round-trip drive from Dallas/Fort Worth… Just to come and eat here. It’s that good! Just kidding, haha. I was actually in the area for a weekend tennis tournament(from Dallas/Fort Worth, so I’m actually telling the truth!), and made the executive decision to bring my team here before our drive home Sunday. Walked into the food court and immediately made a beeline for Vera Asian. Big colorful sign? Check. Easy to read menu from the food court entrance? Check. Plenty of space to sit and eat? Check. Good-looking crew? Triple-check! So adorable! Consider me a little biased here, though. ;) Not to mention, it’s probably the best place to eat out of all the choices here… Ain’t nobody want to get their hands dirty before/during shopping at the mall, from eating fried chicken or pizza! Pssh. This place also has a full assortment of utensils and clean portions of food to choose from, so that’s an auto-win in my book! Speaking of the food… Yum! My party of 12 all agreed that it was the bomb-dot-com, and who are you to argue with 12 different individuals’ assessments of delicious Chinese food? All I had to do was call beforehand and let them know that I was bringing a bunch of hungry athletes to them and when we arrived, everything was colorful, steaming hot, and ready to go in our bellies! The fact that they were prepared to cater to my party speaks to their restaurant philosophy of treating everybody like family. Bourbon chicken is a must-try. The orange chicken? Even better, and probably their signature entrée! And with a variety of delicious drinks to wash it down with, you would be insane to go anywhere else for Chinese food in Round Rock or Austin!
