1÷23÷16 today was the best experience at uncle bucks we have ever had! Derrick was our bartender and he was awesome! Excellent service, very friendly and personable. He treated us very well. We will definitely be asking for him next time we go. Thanks for your hospitality Derrick! Bill and Dawn! Second time visit to Uncle Bucks, was not a good experience. My friends and I took our 3 kids for bowling and lunch. There was no wait for a lane, and the waitress was over right away. What started off good, quickly went down hill. The kids bowling next to us threw his ball in our lane and it nearly took an act of congress to get it fixed and get our game reset. Ok, so we order our food, and the waitress brings our food out, I had ordered chicken nachos, I was SERVED pork nachos, very little pork might I add. We had waited quite a while for our food, so I didn’t want to wait again for another order, and agreed to keep the pork nachos. Our waitress never brought napkins, silverware, or plates to use. I had to go and find them for us. When we reported to the manager on duty what was happening, he didn’t bother to come over, he simply«comped» us some nachos. In the mean time, waitress doesn’t come back around and drinks are empty, the place isn’t that busy, so I go to the bar and wait for the bartender who is at the end of the bar talking to a server. I wait, she walks around the other side of the bar never looking down my way. I walked to the other side, in hopes she sees me. She proceeds to open a cabinet pull out her purse and cell phone and squat for a few minutes, doing whatever, as I continue to wait. She puts her stuff up, never looks down the way I am standing, and walks back around the other side of the bar to converse with the server again, I walk to the other side again… they then walk off to the room behind the bar. I wait, she finally comes back and I request a drink, because I can’t find the waitress, only to be told I could only get a drink if I open ANOTHER tab. I explained I couldn’t find the waitress and she could add it to my ticket, again, they weren’t busy, she said she couldn’t. So now after waiting almost 10 min, I still can’t get a drink. I go back and WAIT for the waitress to finally come around– a total of 20 min later, I finally get a drink… Irritated, yep, we all are at he lack of attention from the waitress and the manager. Wrong food, no napkins, plates or silverware, and a long wait for drinks that wasn’t necessary. I really hope that they can get their act together for the future. It really is a nice fun place to go.

We went to get Santa pics of the kids, and then wandered over to Uncle Buck’s. We had 11 people in all, ranging in age from 83 to 12 mos. The hostess could not have been more pleasant and accommodating, putting us in a big private room behind the bar. It was great… we had the whole room to ourselves, and the kids got to run around and blow off some steam. Our server was actually the bartender, Derek. He was excellent… funny, friendly, but did not hover. Everything was SOGOOD, too. I had the fish and chips… delish. My husband had the steak, and said although it could have been bigger, it was very flavorful. The mashers were exceptional. I found the whole experience tonight there to be wonderful. I have never been to a Bass Pro Shop, and WOW! It’s just beautifully set up, and very entertaining for kids of all ages. Very impressed with the whole place, and can’t wait to go back. Solid 5 stars on restaurant experience, and the store experience. Excellent.

Clean, wonderfully decorated bowling alley. Great cocktails too! Looking forward to going back and trying the food. Bonus for my husband, they had football on!

My family and I made the mistake of hosting my sons birthday party here yesterday. The party was scheduled for 11am, but due to a number of management /customer service issues(including the entire staffs attention being focused on the overly large party in the lanes next to ours) Everything wasn’t set up for the kids to start bowling until 11:45am. Whomever our party host was, she never showed up. And 30 minutes into this endeavor, we were finally able to flag down a waitress but she was ‘busy with the lanes next to ours and would get to us later.’ Every time we needed refills for the kids we had to track another waiter down and they would find her. I guess she finally remembered we were there when she brought our pizzas out 20 minutes later than we had requested, and we then had to request plates, napkins & utensils that she didn’t bring until after the kids were done eating. Since we were being charged for a 2 hour party, we figured that the kids would at least get damn near 2 hours of bowling and they were all very, very disappointed when our lanes shut off at 12:45.(Only an hour after their incompetent staff had finally turned them on.) No sooner than the lanes had shut off, another group had been assigned to them(over half of the lanes were empty at this time) and the manager rudely came over and tried to push us out.(Keep in mind this was 15 minutes before our initial reserved time ended and an hour before the kids should have actually been done bowling.) In the end, we did not receive half of what our party package included(including half of our bowling time!) and it honestly felt like our group was more of a hindrance to the staff than respected paying customers. The customer service by both our waitress & the manager(a blond haired woman) was abysmal and we didn’t even receive so much as an apology when we attempted to express our dissatisfaction to her while paying. Due to the managers complete lack of interest and concern I opted to email the GM and I highly recommend that everyone else with complaints does too. I plan to post an update once I hear back. Richard Vandertulip: From a non-service standpoint, the pizza is really good albeit a little soggy in the middle. And, if you’re not having a reserved party their hourly rate is sky high for an hour of bowling. I much prefer lanes that charge per game.

I ate here with my family last night. The food was excellent. We had the fish and chips and the fish was wonderful and flaky. My son had a hamburger. He really liked it. My daughter had the kids pizza. It looked good. The atmosphere is ridiculously awesome. They went all out with the theme and my children absolutely loved it. The staff however are either bumbling idiots or just completely indifferent about their job. Upon walking in no one greeted us at the check in station. We stood there for 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. When the hostess finally acknowledged us I had to repeat how many were in our party multiple times. I swear she was high. Our waitress started out ok but her attention to our table was subpar. She took forever to check on us after we received our food. My son had to wait a good ten minutes to get condiments for his hamburger. My drink was not refilled once during the meal. We waited fifteen minutes to get our check when the meal was over. After our meal we proceeded to the bowling alley. We had put our names down for a lane before we sat down to eat and they were going to call when it was ready. They called while we were waiting for our check. Because it took so long to get the check when we got to the desk for bowling they had given away our lane. We waited another 10 minutes for a lane. We started bowling and wanted to order some drinks but the waiter we had seen serving the couple beside us was nowhere to be found for 15 – 20 minutes. My friend and I decided to go to the bar to order our drinks. We ordered the signature drink the fish bowl. They told us they’d bring it to our lane that it would take 10 minutes. 20 minutes later they bring out to platters of food. We refused it and we were confused why they thought we ordered food. The waiter finally shows up to clarify our order. Then asks if we want certain flavors for the drink. We tell him we want watermelon and coconut. Less than five minutes later another waiter brings us two blue drinks and apologizes for the confusion. Five minutes later our waiter shows up with a pink and yellow drink. There must have been more confusion and these were the flavored ones we ordered but we have already drank out of the blue ones. He wanted to charge us for all four drinks. My friend made it clear that we were drinking the blue ones and he could take the others back because we were not pAying for them. He finally caved and said he’d leave the drinks and charge us for two. We had told the girl at the check in that we wanted two hours of bowling. We had three young children and knew it would take awhile to get through one game. We wrote down two hours on the paper we filled out. We bowled thinking we had two hours and ordered drinks thinking this. The timer on our screen counts down to a few minutes by the time we get our drinks and we are halfway through the game. My husband goes to the girl thinking it was a mistake and asks her to reset the timer for the second hour. She then informs us that we only paid for one. So now we have all these drinks and they want us to get out of the way to give the lane to someone else. It was fifty dollars for the one hour so we didn’t want to extend for another. We asked for a table to finish our drinks and quickly changed our shoes and moved out of the way to a table. I didn’t find out until later that one of the staff asked my son to put away all the balls for our lane. When there had been two other couples using the lane next to ours and they had accumulated numerous balls plus ours and they expected my ten year old to put them all away! He did because I thought he was in the bathroom. I was furious when I found out. This place looks awesome and they have good food and drinks but the service is so bad I can’t see myself going here again for years.

I was seated in the dining room; it was after 2pm so the room was pretty empty(only 2 other people eating there at the time). I waited around 20 minutes before the server took my drink order. I ordered the Fish and Chips which was decent. I would have given this place a better review if it wasn’t for the long wait time before the server took my order.

Thought we would check out the cool new restaurant next to bass pro shop. Sadly, everything we ordered was terrible. Alligator bites, grilled fish tacos and fish n chips. Overly generic and oily. They might do better by having a chef take a look at the menu and redesign or buy fresher? I don’t know, but not good. At least they have a bowling alley. Service was good, but we were the only people in the restaurant and now I know why.

We went with our family when they were in town and we had a fun time. I like they offer options for the kiddos as far as ramps, bumpers etc. The reason I am giving it 3 stars is because it is pretty expensive AND the service was terrible. Like completely ignored us and our requests. All in all, I probably wouldn’t go back unless we were really in need of something to do as it is nearby our home.

Me and my hubby decided to split nachos and a tournament burger. I ordered a side salad made my way. The server got it almost right. They forgot the cucumbers. I’m a ranch snob so the salad dressing was meh. It just tasted bottled not homemade. Not many salad options but it will do in a pinch. The nachos were good. Hubby loved them and ate the majority of the bowl of salsa that came with them. Salsa is another item I am picky about. It was of the Chili’s variety. Not very flavorful. I prefer Dos Salsa’s nachos. Burger was cooked to perfection. Just wasn’t seasoned very well. It was good but not as good as Fudrucker’s or Five Guys. All and all we will probably be back to try the fish. Ellen was our server and she was great.

I wish I could say something about the food, but I never got any. I waited to be seated but was ignored. So I walked around to a dining area and had a seat. I checked out the menu and found the appetizer and burger I wanted, and waited. I watched servers walk past ignoring me. I waited. The two men at another table got food, a lot of it. The server walked right by me, then walked by again, I waited. I was alone, late lunchtime. The number of employees was about the same number of customers. I watched several interactions between employees just a few feet away from me, ignored and overlooked, I waited. Once I stood up and started to leave, someone finally asked if I was there to eat. Nice enough, but far too late. 30 minutes of fumbling with the menu, watching bowlers from my table, watching others eat, I wasn’t staying longer. I’ve lost any interest. I’m not going back.

Walking in looking around this place looked entertaining and cool. Came back to actually eat. oh we shouldn’t have… no really, pictures say it was good tastes says otherwise… well it was ok… and well it all started when we came in. We were greeted with a smile at the counter where people return their shoes. Our host pushes a pair of shoes toward the person standing behind the counter and then proceededs to dig for silverware and menus(ummm…wash hands, why are silverware so close to rental shoes?) Then looking at stained chairs not really wanting to sit down but I do. We get greeted by our waiter and he seems frazzled when he said it would be a moment, though it seems the waiter only had a few tables… ok no biggie, he comes and tries to take a drink order and our food order. Here we go: fish tacos — messy and bland and lots of batter on the fish, the pinapple salsa on the fish was sour and the chipoltle tarter sauce was just heat. The chips and salsa was fine. Burger: was well done when the request was medium. The meat was«fluffy» and fell apart, it wasn’t like a dense meat patty. The char on the Burger was good though. Back to the story: so as we eat I notice a waiter on duty walking out the kitchen putting something in their mouth eating and another customer seeming irritated on their long wait. All the while my hubby waiting for a refill and seeing when we would be noticed again, which didn’t happen til we we’re going to pay. Then we were asked if we wanted refills, yes and then he ran off before we could ask for to go. Told him we wanted Togo and he seemed confused, I suggested to just get to go cups and he walked away. The take away… if you aren’t feeling things will go well then just leave. Trust your gut. With that being said, if you have family and want to dine and play and you have children go and play… the food was just OK, just not up our alley! Don’t know maybe their apps and drinks may be better… this was just our experience today for lunch.

Uncle Buck’s is attached to Bass Pro Shop and is a full restaurant as well as a bowling alley. If you are bowling, you can order food at your lane. We came here on a sunday so during the weekend the bowling lanes are 29.99 per hour. I think its cheaper on weekdays(19.99/hr). Shoe rentals were $ 3.25 and I forgot how much sock rentals were, I think around 3 bucks as well so many sure you bring your own socks! Pretty pricey in my opinion but the kiddos wanted to play. We even had to pay the full 3.25 for a 2 year old’s shoe rental! We had 5 people and a baby in a lane and before you start you write everyone’s name and shoe size at the register. You can also opt to have bumpers put up for the kiddos. They also have those walker guides that the babies can use to push a ball down the lane. Once we got to our lane, it took a while before a server came to us. After a while, we went to find a server because the niece and nephew was getting«hangry»(hungry + angry). For appetizers we ordered calamari, mozzarella sticks, and onion rings. All were typical bar food and we were happy with the size and portion of it all. As for food we ordered a pull pork sandwich and the mahi mahi. Both were very bland. The fries were really the only redeemable item on the plate so we munched on all of the french fries. The server was kind enough to bring us a pitcher of water. One thing that kind of rubbed me the wrong way was that we still had like 8 – 10 pieces of fries on a plate and the server just came and took the plate away, i caught her as she was walking away and waved her back. That is just bad serving etiquette, never take a plate unless you confirm the guest is complete with it. All in all, we had good wholesome family fun. The bowling alley is very unique in that it is decorated to look like its underwater. The bowling balls is also super cool looking! The whole time my niece and nephew kept looking around and finding things in the décor that would surprise them!

No, no, never again!!! I decided to get the fishbowl platter which came with fish and chips, plus catfish, shrimp and coleslaw. They brought out some cocktail sauce which was obvious and something that looked like ranch dressing — but they claim it is tarter sauce. It was the most runny tarter sauce I have ever seen. It also didn’t taste like tarter. When I told her it looked like ranch and that it was runny, she agreed, took it to the back and brought out another one that looked exactly like the first. Apparently that is their only tarter sauce. I ate the shrimp with the cocktail sauce and boxed the rest up to take home to eat it with tarter sauce that I had at home. That’s just unacceptable if you can’t even serve condiments that are appetizing! My children didn’t like their kids meals. My child said her chicken tasted bad and my other,(non-picky) child didn’t care for the macaroni and cheese. The service was lacking — a lot. The waitress would disappear for long periods of time and we would sit there with empty glasses and without chips for our queso. We had to get up and get our own silverware after the food was brought out because who wants to wait while the food gets cold just for silverware when it’s within 10 feet or so? You pay Razoos prices for Long John Silvers food. So disappointing. The whole time bowling balls are slamming down on the floor because people don’t know how to release the balls without dropping them 3 feet off the ground. This review is for the restaurant only. The store is nice.

Decided to check this place out once the crowd died down. I went here on a weekday, there was no wait, we were seated right away. The place is nicely decorated, great music playing and very friendly staff. The food — most of the food is deep fried so for me I got a salad with grilled Mahi Mahi. They alcohol drinks on the menu goes along with the theme of the restaurant and bowling alley. The price here is moderate, the food arrived within 15 minutes and the portions are within the price range. This place is more for the bowling alley and families. I think if they added more gourmet seafood selections this would definetly upgrade the restaurant and bring in more patrons.

For the price it was okay. The kids meals don’t come with a drink an the meals are already almost $ 6. Add a drink it was almost $ 8 a kids meal an not worth it quality an quantity. My son got fresh fruit it was actually canned Mandrian oranges. I didn’t like that the bowling alley was in the restaurant it was loud an annoying hearing the balls drop. The fish tacos tortillas are rubbery. I won’t come back its way to expensive for what you get.

Great Burgers!!! They also have fish and flatbreads. I wish they have a bigger seafood selection. The alligator bites are yummy but a little spicy. The fishbowl drink is pretty cool and comes with gummy fish inside it. The bowling area looks so awesome! It is $ 20 a lane for an hour of bowling and $ 30 an hour on the weekend. I love this place!!! Lots of fun even for the kids!

Wow 1 star on the first day they open?! Yes the service needs work but that’s to be expected for new waitstaff, I doubt many are experienced servers that quit their previous job to come here. As far as the food goes I was pleasantly surprised, it’s nothing fancy but most of the items we tried we liked. The alligator is pretty good and has a nice spice to it, the sauce that comes with it wasn’t our favorite so we asked for ranch instead. I got a fish platter that I liked and couldn’t even finish because there was so much food. The baked Mac and Cheese had celery and carrots in it which I found strange. The wife got a margherita flat bread and enjoyed it. You can definately hear the bowling alley but I don’t think it’s much louder than your average restaurant with the radio on. We will definitely be back!

We recently went here to check out the new Uncle Buck’s Fish Bowl, as well as Bass Pro Shops. The two places are one big complex. They are even connected, so you can do both and only park once. This was my first time at an Uncle Buck’s Fish Bowl. it was actually pretty fun day out for the family. My daughter loves all things marine, so she really got a kick out of the place. We were expecting aquariums inside for some reason. No aquariums(:() but instead there were dozens of model fish in all sizes hanging from the ceiling. Everything was painted blue and their were lights around to simulate being under water. Kitschy, yes, but fun for the kiddos! I’ve been to many, many theme restaurants, and the food is usually so-so. I was expecting that for the food here, but was pleasantly surprised with what we got. No it’s not gourmet or fancy, but everything was really good. On this trip we tried the fired alligator(it was VERY good) with jalapeño cream cheese sauce, the pulled pork nachos, the buffalo burger, and the kid’s pizza and fries. Everything was cooked perfectly, seasoned nicely, and pretty tasty. It was a nice meal out at a casual resturant. We also had great service. Our server checked on us regularly, keep our drinks filled, and even came over to chit chat a bit and make us feel welcome. I thought she did great. A manager stopped by to check on us, which is always a nice touch. Everyone seemed happy, which made our meal nice. They also have a small bowling alley inside. It isn’t a professional set up, but it is fun for kids. It’s decorated with underwater theme, the balls all have fun stuff on them, and you can order food there. So if you want to do something a little fun and different, as well as make your kids happy, check out Uncle Buck’s.

It’s something you wouldn’t expect in an outdoors store and yet it fits right in. I came in to see the Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World and check out Uncle Buck’s. We came to Uncle Bucks to bowl and have appetizers. The lanes may not be PBA certified and the balls may not be the best, but for my daughter and I; they were just what we wanted for a good day out. I didn’t order from the full menu, but we ordered: alligator bites, mozzarella sticks, and drinks. The staff was VERY courteous and helpful. The lane technicians were always wiling to help in case the ball returns were stuck, the wait staff was always present and responsive, and you could see that everyone working was doing their best to make a great day for everyone having fun. The alligator bites were really nicely seasoned with a little pepper kick and NOT overcooked. I have eaten a lot of alligator and you can tell when it is not cooked correct. Here they breaded and fried it just like you should. The mozzarella sticks were just what you like. Fried well, gooey, and came with a nice marinara sauce. For drinks we just had Sprite and an «Arnold Palmer»(lemonade/tea) Overall, the experience for bowling and snacks was great. We had no wait for a lane, they set it up for you, they rent shoes AND sell socks(if you need them). We rented the lanes for just an hour and we were able to get 2 and a half games in of fun. Its a great casual concept and I liked it very much. Next time there, I will consider sitting and dining from the full menu, but with the brightly colored lanes and attentive bowling staff… sometimes fun is just too hard to pass up.

Ok so we finally went to check it out and it wasn’t as bad as the other reviews I had read. There was a bit of a wait but they took our name and said they would text us when our table was ready. The wait was less than 10 mins. The chairs were nice and soft wicker with soft cushion. I had the Pork BBQ sandwich with fries and my friend had a cheeseburger with optional soup(claim chowder). They have sweet and unsweet tea. A few basic things, they brought out the tea but no sweetener. The burger was missing cheese and we sent it back in, but they sent it out with more fries as a bonus. Food was decent. The servers also serve the bowlers and the more popular things seem to be nachos, and pizza and wings.
