Twin Liquors

It’s a fairly small liquor store right next to my regular HEB. So convenience is a major factor. I usually park in front of the Twin then head over to Heb first.
They sell the basic liquor we buy regularly — uv vodka, Russian standard gin, Evan Williams whiskey. They have a few fancier items but if we’re looking for the good stuff we’re going to Specs. The wine selection is kind of ok but I usually go to Wine Sensation for my wine. I never even look at the beer selection because the beer aisle at the HEB next door is pretty extensive.
I don’t find the cashiers to be rude. They aren’t enthusiastic but they’ll answer questions without reservation. This is one of the few Twin Liquors that sells ice but the guy has to go get it from the back. There’s an older man who knows a good bit about liquor. I’m there fairly regularly so I might have a light conversation while I check out. But I’m usually in a hurry with my Heb cart parked out on the sidewalk.

I stopped in here to take a look at their beer selection, didn’t want to wait in line at HEB. The selection was minimal. I ended up getting a 12 pack of Shiner Bock. The beer had been there a while. It didn’t taste as crisp as usual. Only go here for booze.

I typically get excellent service from Twin Liquors. I have been to this location three times and every time the employees have been grumpy and acted like they were inconvenienced that anyone was there. I won’t go back here. I’m not going to stop going to twin Liquors but this is the one I pass on my way home so now I go the small local shop near my house where I get fast, friendly service.

Great collection with great prices and great customer service always know where things are and always know what is best to go with what I have to admit is one of the better stores in the location compared to Spec’s… which is my fav. But this is right across the street next to HEB so might be the new liquor store to go to… we will see

IDK. Its a liquor store. You go in, get what you want, and leave happy.
But, this particular location doesn’t always have THE friendliest (usually) guys working there. Really. I know not everyone likes to chat, but when you walk in & they say «can I help you find something», then you need to be prepared to possibly give a lesson.
I love having little mini-​lessons whenever I walk into a liquor store and am considering trying something new, or different. But it doesn’t seem to be THAT friendly here.
The latest trip here, I actually enjoy! However, come to find out the guy workin’ the counter was from another store and was just filling in.
I wish they’d have tastings too! They rarely do.
So overall, I welcome ANY competition. Liquor aint cheap, so a little friendlier customer service wouldn’t hurt.

I used to go to this place for my liquor but will never go there again. I was in this store a couple of weeks ago. I was looking at the pricing of the tequila trying to work out whether to buy 2 one liter bottles or 2×1.75. A store clerk asked if I needed help, I told him what I was doing and he offered to work out the difference in savings. As he was doing so an older clerk asked him what he was doing, he then went on to tell me how they barely had enough time to put the bottles on the shelf. I ignored this comment. When he realized he wasn’t getting a response from me he decided to start in on me again saying «look, if you are so concerned about saving a few dollars…» to this I told him that from now on I would take my business elsewhere. He may have been having a bad day but there are plenty of other liquor stores around that don’t have confusing pricing that makes you buy 2 bottles of everything!

I come here often to buy my liquor regardless if I’m buying just one or two of the same bottles given the fact that the prices are still reasonable when you just buy 1. Of course if you buy 2 of the same bottle you get a discounted price. The staff here are also very friendly and helpful when it comes to figuring out where things are or what’s good with what. They also usually have shot glasses or shakers or what not at the counter for free just because. Overall I recommend this particular Twin Liquors.
