They are having a gigantic book sale this week. You have got to check out this large book sale! Great used bookstore. Large selection. If they don’t have a book you want, will order it for you if possible. Worth stopped by for a look.

This place is awesome! This is a great locally owned business that has a great approach towards its customers. Danny the owner is very welcoming and friendly. I have had a great experience every time I shop here! They have a great selection new and used books you can even find some books from some local publishing houses and authors!

Love this little local bookshop. Don’t be misled by ‘little’, the seemingly endless shelves pack a punch when it comes to variety.

Just got all of Anne Rice’s Sleeping Beauty series(3 books in hardback) and another book for about $ 25… The guy working in there was really helpful and found the books for me when I couldn’t(I was looking in wrong section). I also gave him a buck for donation as I thought the fact that they allow people to take books from outside for free if they can’t afford them is just really fantastic! Only downside was a lot of boxes on the floor and clumsy me don’t work out so well when I’m browsing shelves of books. That’s more my fault than theirs and I didn’t fall so no worries.

Love thos store they have the best prices on used books. They also give the most for your books. An here now it is after 10 and they have not opened. That is my only issue. If you have hours keep them. It is kow 1010 the doors should be open!!!

Now that we live down in the area permanently, we are happy to call this our local bookstore! Danny will find books we need and has a wonderful selection of new and used books. No reason to drive anywhere else for books in print.

Love it! My baby and I come in to play and read and we always buy books. They have cute friendly doggies to pat. The only thing is they will clearly let anyone sell anything there(jewelry, makeup etc) which can feel a little chaotic. But it’s super nice!

I will never shop anywhere else. For books, that is. Danny was so helpful. It’s so wonderful to see how involved he is. And they sell Avon! Bonus! It felt great walking into a book store and having someone know what they are talking about and actually care. We left with 3 books and immediately came home to read. I’ll be going back soon!

I really like this book store I live in Austin and only went because they were having a book signing event with one of my favorite authors. I had never gone but I fell in love with it I bought books, movies and was pleasantly surprised with the furry pets. Worth going back to.

I’d never stepped in and we wondered about prices only to find out that the price is half of whatever is listed on the book. I bought a copy of Lies My Teacher Told Me and considered myself… educated. I’m well read, if you consider facebook reading. The store owner or at least the person running the front was nice, friendly, and told us if we were looking for anything that he could help us find it. After a meal at Teji’s this is a great spot to wander, look around and compare notes on your favorite books. I shall return.

Love this place! Owners are so sweet and helpful and always have all required school reading available. They stay updated on what books are added as well which is really nice! I try to go here for all my literary needs and you should too :)

Cute store, great location, but the owner must have been having a bad day, on the day I went in, but I know owning a business can have its days., so I don’t really want to give a really bad review from just one visit. Who knows could turn out to be my favorite store!!!

I almost didn’t find it because the storefront is very unassuming; it’s in the same strip mall as Niki’s Pizza & Pasta(my favorite local pizza place) that’s right across from Round Rock High School. Went there for a book-release/book-signing party the other night and did not expect to see two little dogs working as greeters! lol One little Maltese-looking dog came up to me, rolled over, let me pet her belly for a few minutes, and then when I stood up, she just went on moseying around. Overheard other local authors hanging out talking to each other about their current projects, the staff were friendly and helpful when I asked them about a book I was looking for, and they had lots of really good deals, like brown bag specials of 40 books for $ 10 for specific age groups, a big stack of a really popular fiction series for just $ 3 a book, shelves of discounted books outside their store that you can slip money into their slot to pay for them if you come after they’re closed, and lots of great used books mixed in with brand spankin’ new release books. Bottom line, if you’re looking for a cozy local place to browse for a good read – new or old – The Book Spot is a nice place to stop in. And definitely a much more pleasant experience than scrolling through the flat electronic store on my Kindle.

I left with two books, one for myself and one for my nephew. I actually was disappointed with the scifi/fantasy section. It was tiny and had nothing I was looking for. Maybe I was there on a bad day, but the store was really messy and cluttered. Boxes of books in the already tiny aisles, and the area around the checkout was chaotic. On the plus side, the fiction section was well organized and pretty good sized, and there was a sidewalk sale going on($ 2 for a grocery bag of books, can’t beat that if you read a lot). Also the dogs were sweet.

Wonderful local book store! The owners Danny and Julie make you feel right at home the moment you walk into the store and the dogs are sure to give you a warm greeting as well. The selection is great(both new and used, young adult, etc.), and if the book you’re looking for isn’t there, Danny and Julie will gladly order it for you. The store hosts wonderful author events and was recently involved in the Young Adult Book Festival in Round Rock. You can tell how much Danny and Julie care about the community and their customers. In addition to books, I’ve found some great gift items at The Book Spot as well as lovely homemade cards.

I always love supporting my local business and this is one place I gladly return to often. The Book Spot is owned by Julie and Danny and they are the friendliest, most eager people to help you have an awesome reading experience. Both of them are knowledgable of their inventory as well as what’s trending at the moment. Not only that, but they have great hours, friendly little dogs(A.J. & Brody, I think are their names) that you can pet while you’re there, and a small area in the back to use for a book club get-together… which is exactly what my group and I do every month :) The store may be a bit cramped at times(it varies) BUTFEARNOT!!! They are always trying to find ways to improve the atmosphere and hope for it to be more organized in the near future. They sell both used and new books(new books are always 20% off!) and they have a bunch of local little trinkets for sale in case you want to add a small gift to the book you’re buying for yourself OR someone else. I love this little store and am so grateful to have it close to home. Barnes and Noble or Books-a-Million just doesn’t compare to your local businessman.

Local book store! With bonus shop dogs and cute trinkets and the oddest arrangement of titles, but more importantly, the nicest staff! I let Julie, the owner, know that I was looking for Book 4 in this series, Book 1 in this series, etc … and she had them! Anyone who reads serial books knows the value of a good bookstore to feed your addiction. And cheaply! Now, the real secret is picking up a few books then wandering over to the 620 Café across the street for pie and coffee happy hour. Why would you want to do all that on your Kindle Fire at home?

The owners both seem SUPER nice. My husband and I went to trade in a large quantity of books and they were more than fair to us in their pricing. The inventory seems to be pretty good(even if you aren’t looking for children’s books), and growing every day. The store has an inviting atmosphere. When we entered, I was struck by how good it smelled inside… OH, so they have a popcorn maker… AND the website lists a variety of book-related special events. Overall, a great local business I want to support. And you know you can never have too many books. ;)

A family was finishing up a transaction when we approached the door. It was 8:15PM…they close at 8PM. Instead of shooing us off and locking the doors, Danny, the owner, warmly welcomes us in. The bookstore is very warm, with comfortable reading areas set up in a living room kind of fashion. They have a great children’s selection of books. Danny helps my son and patiently answers the multitude of questions that a curious 7-year old boy would have. We are are never rushed, although it was now much pass closing time. Also, they book trade is awesome. Bring your used books, get a store credit for purchasing new books. For a family with avid readers, this is a great way to refresh your book collection. You will never find service like this at any national chain bookstores.
