Worst haircut of my life. I asked for 2 inches off the front and NO layers, and expressly told the lady that I was trying to grow my hair out and just had two inches of the old hair color in the front that needed to be removed. As the old hair color was black, it was easy to see what needed removing. Guess what I got. Up to 5 inches taken off, depending on where you look, because she put in crazy layers! Some of my hair is shoulder length now, while other parts are at the top of my ear! Best of all, it looks like a five year old cut it because there’s about a 2″ difference between then overall length on the left and right side. I was really hoping to have nice hair for my wedding, but instead I’ll have to spring for fake hair extensions. Right now I have to keep my hair in a stubby ponytail with clippies to avoid embarrassment. I complained to the manager (?) and he saw how awful it was and apologized. He said he can’t fix it without giving me a boy haircut and then I would not even be able to put it in a ponytail to hide my shame, so that’s not an option. He was nice and apologetic, but did not refund my money. He gave me a card for a free haircut next time… yeah right like I’m going to set back my hair growing out goal for ANOTHER year!
She also was pulling out tangles the whole time instead of combing them out, which we all know stretches and snaps the hair follicle so what I have left of my hair will probably start producing split ends soon. I look forward to that future nightmare. Who knew a haircut could cause so much anxiety? I’m really trying to get over whatever vanity made me freak out so bad about a stupid haircut, but I can’t seem to shake off the anger about this. My 2 month old kitten could have given me a better haircut!
