Sunday brunch was not worth the $ 13 — small selection, not steaming hot, few pastries, slow service(I’m writing this while waiting for the check). This is not what I remember from last August.

The ambiance is okay. Wait staff was alright. The steak was over cooked. I didn’t like the cat fish which seemed mushy and soft. My son said his burger was«too sweet»… And for two dinners(One at $ 24 and one at $ 16) a kids dinner, three beers and a cocktail, $ 74 is crazy expensive. Do they not have drink specials? I was not impressed with this place enough to return.

Hey all, so I teach a class tomorrow n have no lesson plan prepared, so this will be brief. I’ve made 2 trips to this Marriott and RiverCity. I was here for 2 weeks 3 years ago while teaching a class in one of their conference rooms. The food at RiverCity was wonderful. Their lunch buffet was great, and their dinners were super. I loved their salads. So, this trip has blown away that first trip. I arrived last night, and tossed and turned in bed, not being able to sleep. I went down to the bar and a bartender named Patrick made my night. He was like a therapist mixologist. He listened to me, offered suggestions, gave me a great wine, and got me to the point where I could go pass out and get up to teach my class. Tonight, I worked late in my room on my lesson plan and it was about 10pm and I needed dinner, so I only had 1 option… RiverCity. I had a starter salad with a house made cilantro dressing, and a free range chicken(brick oven cooked) with a cinnamon sugar glaze, quinoa and a side of broccolini. It was to die for. But, it wasn’t at all just the food… The crew behind the bar, and the leadership, are a well oiled machine. Patrick, Lindsie, Elizabeth, and Stephanie made my night, and seriously, my trip to Austin. I considered switching my loyalty from Marriott to Hilton, due to what i felt as declining service at some recent properties. I’m forced to reevaluate that decision after this experience. Way to go, RiverCity and Austin Marriott North. You’re a game changer. –Matt

Excellent Food Excellent Service! Everything that I’ve tried was wonderful. The chili has a homemade flavor of rich and great spices. The burgers and lollipop chicken are to die for.

We were looking forward to the breakfast buffet and had high hopes. Should have known when we came in and most of the tables were not cleaned off that they probably don’t have an efficient operation here. Eggs were good. The meats were ok. Bacon wasn’t crispy and sausage tasted off. Plus I like my food hot and it was lukewarm at best. Good thing is you can order made to items with the buffet. Ordered a pancake and an omelette. Pancakes are extra thick, edible but not the best pancakes ever. Omelette was way over cooked. Price $ 28, including tax for two. Probably won’t come back for breakfast. Will give lunch a try sometime.

Overpriced food for the quality. Extremely inattentive staff at the bar. Second time I’ve been there to give it a fair shake, the first time was disappointing as well. Better places with better prices in the local area.
