This place is now called Nopalitos and it’s still HORRIBLE. Worst Mexican food I’ve ever had. Taco Bell is better and that’s saying something.

I was so sad to see that Turquoise was gone, but we figured we’d give the next restaurant to move into the space a shot. Sadly, they screwed up three of four orders at our table. The service took forever and a day. I do appreciate that the fajitas were different from the standard onion-and-pepper variety, and they were quite good. We had three different servers, two of whom were obviously very new to serving. The worst part came when we tried to pay our bill. They had overcharged us for drinks(which even given that they were in pitchers, they still let sit empty for 10+ minutes) and getting the extra pitcher taken off took them 15 minutes. After that, it was another 15 minutes for them to actually process our bill, and we had to get up and track down where on earth our card had gone to. They said they were having problems with their credit card system, but the manager eventually came out and handed us a non-itemized receipt. At that point we were running so late for an appointment and the value looked correct, so we just signed it and left. Also, the décor inside is very dark, partially due to the position of the restaurant and the black-and-brown décor. One of the walls was painted to look weathered and ruined, and that did not improve the ambiance IMO. The tables were unstable and the women’s bathroom was filthy. There are far better Mexican and Tex-Mex places to go around town.

Went to this place for lunch today. Being a new restaurant only open for a few days I wasn’t expecting them to set my world on fire. I was so impressed by the excellent service and terrific food. The owner was all over the place helping out while the staff was moving a 100 mph. This is my new favorite Tex Mex spot whenever I’m in Round Rock.

Horrible service! I am a vegetarian and simply asked if there was any meat or lard in the beans, he pretty much laughed and continued to take a wrong order. I gave up and just told him I would take the cheese enchiladas and some freaking rice. Whoa… that was pretty difficult. We were one of two tables in the restaurant but that did not seem to make it any easier for the one waiter or one cook to get us our food. The food was okay but definitely not worth the service problems. He then charged me a la carte for my plate instead of matching it to the lunch special. I gave up… there was no way I was going to attempt to get that fixed. Dont waste your time or your calories on this place. On a side note: It used to be a place called Capones… they just rearranged the letters and called it Napoles(guess they bought an ‘L’) The receipt still said Capones at the top. What a piece of shit restaurant.

Reasonable prices and decent food do not make a good restaurant. Especially true when there are so many great Tex-Mex places in the area to compete with. I was doing fine until it came time to pay the bill. We waited and waited and waited. The waitress was working this place by herself and she had seven tables to attend to. This is a brand new place, so surely it will be going through some growing pains, but it is inexcusable to not even recognize us by apologizing or asking us to hold on for a few more minutes. Luckily the bill was pretty cheap, so we were able to scrape together enough cash to cover things. Even as we left the money on the table and walked out of the restaurant, our presence was still not noted by the staff. I hate to give a place only two stars, but yes — I’ve seen better.
