We came on a rainy Tuesday night so it wasn’t busy. The pizzas were really delicious. Great beer selection. Good wine selection. Very friendly and helpful service. Really nice ambiance. I’ll definitely come back!

This GF pizza is the best I have had(except for one pizza in new orleans.) The Creasey– Pepperoni, Bacon, Pepperoncinis, has replaced any other GF pizza in my opinion. Good drink specials, weekly happy hour options which I need to take advantage of, friendly bartenders, and so many comfy booths. Love this addition to RR and will visit often.

I am finally getting around to trying some of the newer restaurants in the Round Rock area. I ordered the Margherita and Salumeria for take out. All pizzas are 12″ in size which is bordering on a personal pizza in my opinion. Given that, the pizzas are quite expensive. Margherita ran $ 12 and the Salumeria was $ 17. The Salumeria was decent, I enjoyed the chili flakes giving it a little kick. The Margherita tasted nothing like a normal Margherita. There were no tomatoes on it which is usual a staple of a margherita pizza. Overall the pizza was OK, but with options like PizzaRev at 7.99 for a 10″ build your own pie, I just don’t see myself coming back here. If you are going to ambiance and a place yo hang out and eat and drink it might be worth your while, but for strictly food, not to sure about that.

Great place close to home. Live music, good pizza and lots of different drink options. Our waitress was Delta and she was awesome. We will be back soon. Thanks!

I can’t believe I waited so long to eat here. Already been back once since my first visit a few weeks ago. Going to keep this brief: Good –The Creasey pizza is soo good. –Cheesey bread –Texas toothpicks appetizer: loved the crunchy and doughy combination of the batter. –Interior décor and outside firepit So-So –The fried cauliflower appetizer is a distinct experience, but not one I will crave enough to try again. –The bread pudding muffins were dry and not hot enough. I love bread pudding, but not these. –Servers seemed inexperienced and not fully aware of the menu. I can overlook that when the pizza is this good.

The Good: The margherita pizza is delicious and the restaurant is inviting though modern. The Bad: The pizzas are very small, almost individual-sized. At $ 12 – 13 bucks per mini-pizza with no toppings, it’s way overpriced.

Best Pizza in Round Rock! Tried the take out a while back and it never did this place justice. Plan on eating here cause it is a great atmosphere, friendly staff and Amazing Pizza! Ohh and the fried cauliflower as an appetizer was really good too, light and flavorful.

Service was good, it’s a Wednesday night so it wasn’t busy. But the pizza was SOOOO greasy. Literally just pouring off the pizza everywhere. My stomach immediately started hurting. We just asked to not be charged for one pizza and tried to eat the other one. I will leave a picture of our pepperoni pizza with the river of grease!

I’ve been here twice, but the first time I only ordered drinks, so I didn’t think I had a good vibe of the experience. Some things I love about this place is they have a rotating tap of craft beers and beautiful décor. The bar has changing LED lights underneath and they have little lanterns hanging from the walls with real fire which were a very cute touch. It’s well designed and they even have live music some nights. The servers and bartenders were all very sweet, so I cannot complain about the service. Onto what I think can be improved. To start, the pizza is very small for the price. 12″ pizzas that cut into 6 slices isn’t much and for $ 12+ a pizza, I cannot say the quality of the meal was worth the cost. They do provide freshly grated parm, which is a nice touch, but the Margherita pizza I ordered wasn’t anything special. It was good, don’t get me wrong, but not great. Finally, the bar. It’s SOHIGH. The bartender was even struggling to hand us our drinks and food and if you’re a shorty like me, you’ll feel like a Tyrannosaurus Rex trying to eat your meal. My partner is average height(5’10″) and also struggled, so unless you’re some giant blessed with tall genes, the bar is uncomfortable to be at. I prefer sitting at the bar because the service is better, but next time I’m here, I’ll stick to a table like my first time.

We came here on Saturday night on the way back from the U game. Surprisingly it wasn’t that busy although it was still quite early(7:30). There was an average singer playing which may have been a reason. We sat at the bar and were immediately impressed by the wide variety of drinks on offer and the interesting pizza combinations. In the end we settled on The Creasey(red sauce, provolone cheese, pepperoni, bacon, banana peppers) although there are several others I’d like to go back and try along with the wings which are $ 0.75 cents on Sundays. The pizza tasted great, my only complaint was it was a little soggy, both the crust and the base, which it shouldn’t be when cooked in a proper pizza oven. We’ll surely be back to give them another try, next time we’d probably go during the week when they have some good specials on.

2nd time: our second time at this restaurant was even better than the first. We dined with a huge group of people after a youth football game. The staff was extremely patient(with about 7 kids under 10) and accommodationinf to our group of 15+. The food and atmosphere were perfect for warming up after a cold afternoon on the field. Definitely our stop every time we’re in round rock! 1st time: We decided to try this place out after a TYFA game because of the reviews. The staff was extremely accommodating of our group of 10+ even though we didn’t call ahead. Our server was knowledgable of the different beers/brews on the menu and allowed us to sample anything we wanted. The food and atmosphere were awesome! We will definitely be back!

Oh yeah… its Sunday and $.75 cents wings all day… now how in the world do you beat that? The wings have a fantastic smokey flavor with a perfect buffalo sauce. They do have several other sauces. They even took the liberty to mix a custom creation on the spot. Every wing has a generous amount of meat. Kitchen does a fantastic job all around as the pizza is very good and worth a second trip. There is an outdoor patio that helps pass the afternoon in comfort. Staff is very friendly, well balanced and attentive. Great location for your next pizza or chicken wing craving

If you find yourself in downtown Round Rock, you really must try Fire in the Hole. I’m sure by day the atmosphere is modern, but we came for dinner when the inside was lit with candle lanterns which set a much more romantic tone. After reading Amy D’s review I could not wait to try them as I’d never eaten a pizza with a sourdough crust before. Spoiler alert, it’s everything you could hope for. But I digress. My husband wanted to try the Texas Toothpicks so we ordered them as an appetizer. It’s breaded and fried onion and jalapeño sticks served with a side of ranch for dipping. Don’t worry about it being too spicy because they take the seeds and ribs out of the jalapenos to make it less overpowering. We really enjoyed it, however I admit it would have been better had it not been room temperature by the time it got to us. Since they weren’t busy, our waitress was at a table in the back eating dinner with some of the other employees. This doesn’t usually bother me since I was a waitress myself for years and know how hard it is. You can go hours on your feet without a break and only when it slows are you able to sit down. My husband has zero patience though so he got a little annoyed. Especially when we watched our appetizer sit in the kitchen window for ten minutes before she noticed, but I wasn’t about to be the person to walk over and tell her how to do her job. Once we did get our appetizer however(and the cider I ordered that took just as long to come out), everything ran smoothly so he got over it. We all have bad nights and I don’t think one mishap is that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things. The food was excellent and even though service was slow at first, everyone was very friendly and we had a nice meal. The honey vanilla cider I tried was heavenly and the white pizza we shared was superb. Not only did we love the sourdough crust, but the addition of smoked ricotta took what would have been a somewhat boring pizza and turned it into something sublime. I didn’t even know smoked ricotta existed and now that I do, I couldn’t live without it. SOOOO yum. Definitely a place we would come back to. For our appetizer, one beer, one cider, and a pizza it was $ 30. Not bad at all! I bet their desserts are great too.

This was our first visit here. A fellow Unilocaler recommend it. I really enjoyed this place. When you first walk in has a very inviting feel. Kinda a retro thing working. I liked that. We sat outside in the back. And the fall weather was just great for that. We first ordered the smoked wings. They were great. Light smoke flavor then grilled and then tossed with a really great hot sauce that was tangy but not hot. They were served with a great ranch dressing and celery sticks. The meat was tender and fell off the bone. Hard to find really great smoked wings out. But these didn’t disappoint. Highly recommend it. Then we ordered a pizza. The Salumeria. It had craft salami, spicy sausage, smoked mozzarella and chili flake on it. The sauce was light in taste but had some flavor. The best part was the thin crust. It was excellent. Highly recommend this if you love thin crust pizza.

Enjoyed this place on a Saturday afternoon, shout out to the Unilocaler gang we went with who recommended it, good call fellas. We sat on the patio in the back and asked them to turn on the game, which they happily did, very cool. The staff was friendly and welcoming. There is a very nice selection of beers to choose from, I would guess close to two dozen varieties are available. Their wings came highly recommended, so I knew I was definitely getting some. But I also wanted to try the pizza, because I had heard good things about it also. So we ordered the salumeria pizza and some wings. The waitress said the wings were smoked and grilled, which sounded fantastic. The wings came out and they smelled really good. You could tell they had been smoked by their color and the aroma. They were sauced with a classic buffalo sauce. The first bite was awesome, the smokiness of the wing was immediately apparent and then the tangy, slightly hot sauce kicked in and it was a great combination. I love a good smoked wing, and these definitely were very good. Then the salumeria pizza arrived, and it had pepperoni, spicy sausage, smoked mozzarella and chili flake. The crust was thin and crisp but it had a good chew to it as well. It was a good pizza, but the wings took the prize for me. I would definitely go back for those wings. This is a nice place with a relaxed atmosphere, I really liked it.

What time is it? Everybody say it with me–«cheese bread time!!.» After my second visit, i decided to expand on my previously unhelpful review, and give y’all a glimpse into the sheer sincerity of this establishment. Located in historic downtown Round Rock, this place is nestled in a very picturesque street, giving it outward appeal. Built like the saloons of old, the front porch is open, without glass. The interior is a mix of modern upholstery and classic wood elements and light fixtures, creating visual interest. Enough with the architecture, I’d better get on with my review. We visited sunday evening, and the place wasn’t too crowded. There was live music and the hostess greeted us very cheerfully and took us to our booth. Within minutes, our waitress came by with the drinks menu and introduced herself, and let us know that it was her first day, and apologized in advance for any slip ups. I thought this was really cute. The beer selection is respectable — they have about 10 beers on tap, in addition to wines, cocktails($ 8-$ 11) and bottled beer. The Maine root sodas are a definite plus. Since we didn’t really want to have pizza(familiar, specialty), we chose to have the Alabama cheese bread($ 7). This is my absolute favorite here– it’s big enough to be a pizza; the lemon juice on the cheese gives it the most unique taste that I can’t get enough of. I should try the pizza sometime, but for now, this is my go to. I can’t stress enough about the service here. A lot of establishments make a fuss when you request a table change, let alone an indoors to outdoors change. Our waitress was very accommodating in this, and did everything to make sure we were comfortable.(3 year old being extremely fussy, same old drill) The patio is okay, the plastic chairs are durable but definitely not as nice as the inside. There’s a large fire pit, but the down side is that a railway track runs close by and you can hear train whistles now and then. Not one of those serene patios. We ordered the dessert of the day– bread pudding. This comes with a rum dipping sauce. Or something like that. Either way it has rum and rum is good. The pudding was delectable. That’s all. I actually got a sugar rush eating it, and at one point considered giving the chef a big ol peck on the cheek for having made this masterpiece. This place is definitely one of your more expensive pizza places, but it more than makes up in the quality. The service is outstanding, the ambience is charming and the food is wonderful. The drive to round rock is definitely worth it.(Beer lovers can also hop into the brass tap after dinner here.)

I have no hesitation recommending Fire in the Hole to my friends as I found this restaurant praiseworthy in every way. The manager and his daughter both work here and I found them to be friendly and helpful as this was my first visit here last week. I wasn’t in the mood for pizza so I asked the bartender(wish I remembered her name) for a recommendation. She recommended buffalo wings. That was an excellent recommendation. The buffalo wings were meaty, plentiful and tasted excellent. I’ve had bad luck with wings recently and these first-rate wings broke that curse. The beer menu is extensive and is listed on three pages. Each page lists the alcohol content which I appreciate. Samples available upon request. Two TV’s located in the bar area. I asked if it was possible to put the Giant’s game on and they happily obliged. Outdoor patio in the back. Plush booths throughout. Fancy and accommodating place overall. I’ll reserve 1-star for my next visit. If the pizza is as remarkable as the wings were, this will be a 5-star superior review. I’ll be back.

We met up with a coworker here for a drink awhile back and after smelling the delicousness coming from the oven I was anxious to return for the pizza. First off I really like the atmosphere. They did a beautiful job preserving the building while decking the place out with class. It’s not super fancy but it is nice. On my first visit I was pleased with their Étude Lyric pinot noir which would go great with pizza! They are also a full bar and 20 beers on tap. On our most recent visit we dined in and ordered the a pizza with gooey smoked mozzarella, pepperoni and mushrooms. All the pies are 12 inches with sourdough crust. I love sourdough and really loved the pizza that was baked to perfection. The wood-fired oven is front and center of the restaurant and you may watch your pizza being baked. They have a dog friendly patio and a dozen ice cold beers on tap with most being local. Some of their specials include: Monday — Happy hour all day(otherwise Tuesday-Friday 4pm-6pm) Tuesday — Buy one get one half off pizzas Wednesday — $ 10 off any bottle of wine Thursday — Pint night

This place is pretty cool. They have 20 rotating taps which puts them in second place behind The Brass Tap. Staff are very friendly. They have a kitchen which kicks out sandwiches, soups, salads. But they are better known for their pizzas and wings. Pizzas come with a gluten free option and are 12″. Build your own or do one of their specialties which they will allow you to modify. They use a gas/wood hybrid oven. I haven’t tried the pizzas yet, but, I will say they look and smell amazing. I like to go here on Sundays for the $ 0.75 wings. They have recently changed up the prep for the wings. They used to brine, smoke, fry. Now they brine, smoke, grill, bake. You get one option for sauce and it tastes like a traditional tabasco. The sauce is good. Nice lil’ kick, but, these wings pale in comparison to Wingzup. Having said that this is my go to in Round Rock for a wing fix. Much better than other competitors. Not sure about their new technique though. I think I liked the old way better. The taps here are quite interesting with a good variety. You can sample your little beer drinking heart out until you find something you like or just tell Greg your preference and he is guaranteed to find the right beer for you. I will eventually try one of their pizzas for sure but right now this is my go to wing fix when I don’t feel like making the commute to Wingzup. They have a nice little dog friendly patio in the back and feature live music on certain nights.

The pizza gets great reviews from my Unilocal buddies but I wasn’t all that impressed by this place. It was all good, maybe I just wasn’t in the mood. I initially ordered some fireball drink… It was just too much for me… I replaced it with some watermelon mojito thing which was really good(Rachel the server said she created it ;) I ordered the Tomato Basil Soup & Grilled Cheese(shallot, cream, focaccia, provolone)…the soup was really good(it has a little spice to it) and the grilled cheese sandwich was good, just super tiny :) My roommate ordered the Familiar White pizza(smoked ricotta, provolone, our mozzarella). I did not try it but it looked really good!
