I want to give them 3.5 stars, but 4 will do. Ordering online was easy and painless. Having to find a box to send to them was a difficult task. Using the shipping label was confusing. They received my eye glasses in New York 8 – 9 days after I sent my glasses. It took 3 – 4 days to then ship my glasses. It took 3 days to get to me. It almost took three weeks to get my glasses which was a hassle and annoying. I am writing this review because my prescription came correct and my glasses were the same ones I sent them. Email communication between us was adequate, never a fast reply but a reply within 24 hours. I want people to know this is a company you can trust, even though it takes forever to get the glasses. Pricing wise, I really just should have gone to costco. That way I would have had my glasses sooner.

Poor quality looks like it was done by a butcher shop. Not even close to the prescription. ZERO response from their«customer service.» Thank God they returned the original lenses so that I could pop them back in. They returned the glasses in a plastic bag with no invoice, customer receipt, thank you for your business, NOTHING! Blew 140.00. Be smart and don’t blow your money at this unprofessional operation. Don’t believe me? Just e-mail or call their joke of a customer service department. Oh wait, they don’t respond to e-mails so you had better try calling them. AVOID!

Poor quality work. I sent Eyeglass People two pairs of my semi-rimless Mykita glasses to be re-lensed with my newer – but still relatively mild(«reading only») single vision prescription. Unhappy surprise: The replacement lenses Eyeglass People installed in both of my Mykita frames were visibly twice as thick(and felt at least twice as heavy) as my previous lenses – despite my having ordered the same lens material cut to an only slightly stronger single vision prescription. Eyeglass People basically tuned my once elegant, featherweight Mykita reading glasses into something more befitting of a legally-blind panhandler on The Flintstones [**See photo for apples-to-apples comparison. All three Mykita glasses shown have singe vision polycarbonate lenses cut to the identical prescription.**]. As soon as I unwrapped my(now heavy) re-lensed glasses it was apparent that whomever Eyeglass People assigned or outsourced to cut and fit my lenses was inexperienced working with semi-rimless frames. Despite the fact that Eyeglass People specifically charged me extra to work on semi-rimless frames. A surcharge I was glad to pay for the reassurance it offered that knew what they were doing and experienced with semi-rimless frames. Eyeglass People did not respond to my customer service inquiries. To be fair, the company did eventually agree to re-do my lenses. I want to give them an additional star for that. But I really can’t, as even these replacement lenses are noticeably and needlessly thicker and heavier than any other lenses I have had and I will not use Eyeglass People again, or recommend their services to anyone with semi-rimless frames.

I just received my prescription sunglasses back after sending them my old frames with written down prescription. Perfect. I could not get any place to use my old frames which was perfectly fine and so comfortable. Took it to Costo and they said they could not use my frames since it’s too old. It’s only because they wanted to make more money they did not even want to bother. And, I am their stockowner too LOL. But, EyeGlass People was perfect. Thank you. I love my glasses!

I have two primary issues with EyeGlass People: 1) Poor customer service 2) Poor quality control I ordered my new lenses online. I mailed my frames using the label they supplied. I received my glasses about ten days later. If that were the end of the story, I would be a happy customer. The right lens arrived scratched. THESCRATCHRESISTANTLENSESARRIVEDFROMTHEFACTORYSCRATCHED! They clearly did not inspect the lenses. They never should have been sent in that condition. I emailed EyeGlass People the night after receiving my glasses to complain. When I did not receive a response by noon of the next day, I called to complain. The person I spoke with started arguing with me that they couldn’t have sent me scratched lenses. She also said she could help me and Mr. So-and-So would have to call me back in an hour. He didn’t. After waiting several hours I sent another email telling them I was disputing the charges via my credit card because they were not response to my emails and they blew me off on the phone. Only then, did they agree to help. I asked them to expedite my order. They said they would. They did not. I sent my glasses back using a shipping label they provided. Not one day shipping, but their usual shipping(not expedited). Then they claimed a whole week passed before they received my frames(not expedited). Two days later I emailed asking for an update on my glasses. No response(not expedited). Three days after that I emailed again. I did not receive an answer until the following day(not expedited). The email said, «The lenses are finished and they are having the AR coating applied. The lenses should be finished later this week.» TWOWEEKSAFTERSENDINGTHEGLASSESBACK, THELENSESSTILLWEREN’T DONE(NOTEXPEDITED)!
