I had my wedding makeup done at Dulhanz. I approached them on a short notice and did trial makeup the same week. Finally, got my wedding makeup done a week later. Tooba and Sabah were very nice to accommodate me on a short notice. Tooba initially told me that she was busy the day of my wedding for a personal commitment but due to my insistence she postponed it. Thank you! Both Tooba and Sabah are really skilled at what they do. They both work together to give you a fabulous look yet you cannot tell that two people worked on you to create the look. The foundation was flawless, giving me an airbrushed look that came out really well in the pictures. The makeup lasted well over 8 hours as I had multiple events in the day and it didn’t fade. I also had my mom’s makeup done from them which was very good as well. Not only do they have have excellent makeup skills but also their attitude makes you very comfortable on the biggest day of your life.

I scheduled a trial with Tooba for my Reception of Barat day. First of all, she is very nice and friendly. Unfortunately, I wish I can say better things about her make-up, but here it goes. I was at the trial for close to 3 hours and with an unsatisfied and unfinished look. She couldn’t do the hair style that I sent her pictures of. She couldn’t match the eye shadow color to my dress colors. I asked her to do a bright pink to which she responded that they don’t make bright pink color so I responded that I have 180 eye shadow colors pallet and it has every shade of pink and she told me that I should have brought that with me. I think if the service provider is charging $ 300 then then it should be their responsibility to complete their end of the bargain otherwise inform the Client before hand to avoid wasting money and time. Anyway, I kept an open mind about her suggestions and tried the golden eye shadow which would have been great only if it matched my bridal dress. I requested Arabic style eye-liner that extends out at the corners, she couldn’t accomplish that and hinted that it won’t look good on me. But the real issue was that she couldn’t do it. Another major draw back was she couldn’t match my foundation color. Ether I turned out to be too tan or peachy and I have a fair complexion so it was making my face look dull. The main reason I went with a desi make-up artist was to match the foundation knowing that they are desi and they know how our skin tone works. But to no avail I ended up losing my trial deposit and an unsatisfied bride to be. Although, I do recommend her for party make up only but keeping in mind that she is NOT certified make-up artist yet she still charges $ 300 plus for bridal make-up.
