Great chicken, great corn, great biscuits. Long wait. But it’s worth it!

I could not get home fast enough to write this review. Ordered hot wings in drive-thru. I was told it would be 9 minutes wait. No problem there are 3 cars ahead of me. Finally get to window and was told it would be 11 minutes as the wings have not been dropped(first sign of a potential problem). I was told to pull up and they would bring my order out. The car in front of me had parked in the front door waiting also. 10 minutes go by, no action on my order or the car sitting in the front door. But customers are walking in and out with orders. Now its 15 minutes, so I decide to go in and the lady parked in front door follows me in with her little kid. We get to the counter tell them we have been waiting 20 minutes for drive-thru order and they looked shocked!!! They had to ask what we ordered. Oh by the way, the wings still have not been dropped!!! I ask for a refund and of course they try to offer me drink and wait for wings. NO, give me refund. Other lady finally got her order which was 3 piece white … If you are asked to pull up, don’t do it. They will FORGET you. Just wait in the window or ask for refund right away and go elsewhere.

Everytime I go I get fresh, hot, greasy, delicious chicken! It ain’t fried chicken if your chin ain’t drippin’… I don’t know if that’s really a saying but there you have it. The staff is fast and courteous. The mac n cheese is steamy and gooey. The chicken has flavor. And yes I’m pulling the«I grew up in south Mississippi so I know what real fried chicken tastes like» card, because goddammit you shouldn’t have to put hot sauce on chicken unless you seasoned it like a fool! My mom carried a can of Tony Chachere’s in her purse and pork cracklins in her pockets!(we had a lot of ants in our house).

My recent 3 visits were really bad but the last one was terrible Every visit I got old & dry tenders, it was like if you are chewing a TIRE! Not mentioning the bad service and grumpy rude CSR there! Last visit I swear I had a rotten piece of chicken, it was too late cause my little kid already ate and got really sick and threw up three times, I had to take him to ER I’m not recommending skipping this store or even this chain I urge the Health department to shut down this business for good Because it pose a real danger to customers like my experience.

So I get off work early for a change and decide I’m gonna bring dinner home to my wife and daughter. I usually hit up Popeyes or mcdonalds but decided id try out the churches chicken right across the street. I pull up, not sure what to get, then saw the chicken and biscuit bites family meal, so I give my order at the drive thru and the girl says«uh ya it’s gonna be like 10 minutes» so I say fine, no big deal. So I pull up to the window to pay, it takes them 5 minutes just to come take my money. Then they tell me it’ll be a few more minutes, I understand she said 10 minutes so I knew I’d have to pull up and park to wait for my food. So about 20 minutes go by, it’s starting to get dark, and the hood rats start marchin in. This place looked like a corner where people go to pick up a dime bag on the low, super sketchy. So I’m still waiting and finally decide this is bull**** and go inside. The girl looks at me and I can tell they forgot about me, at this point I know if I open my mouth I’m gonna upset a lot of people so I don’t say anything. Point of my story, the employees here lack customer service skills big time, look, if u don’t like your job, don’t work there! Business is about customers, and u just lost one. You people need to get some better employees, better training and change the atmosphere after the sun goes down. Don’t bother contacting me, I will not be back, Popeyes makes the same stuff in a quarter of the time. Don’t eat here!!! Horrible service!

I don’t know if Churches has changed their recipe or what. The chicken we got today didn’t look and definitely didn’t taste like Churches chicken normally does. I would swear they were selling frozen Tysons chicken out of there today. We won’t be back.

Been awhile since I’ve had fried chicken .been awhile I’ve eaten chicken from Church’s. I do say that I think I like it better than KFC And I absolutely LOVE their honey butter biscuits! The prices seem to be reasonable and those working there are friendly. I am close by so I may have to drop again sometime I get those fried chicken cravings :) or even just to have some of those yummy biscuits!

OHNO, a new Church’s Chicken opened in the area, my wife likes Church’s Chicken. So I am guessing I will be going there many times for dinner, i.e. driving thru the drive thru to take home mostly I think, HUM!!! Yep that’s the ticket, been there a bunch of times now, my wife likes the spicy chicken, I like the regular chicken, we both like the mashed potatoes and corn and fries, I like the slaw as well. I am not big on honey so I don’t care for the honey biscuits but my wife likes them. Would I go back? Yep the wife wants some now! BTW: My wife said I forgot to tell you she loves the fried OKRA!!!

Despite the hoard of teenagers hanging out outside of this joint, I got friendly and quick service, hot fries, hot and fresh biscuits(YUM!) and chicken strips and sweet tea. I could have used more ice in my sweet tea, because it was warm but other than that, it was a pretty solid visit. :)

This was the absolute WORST fast food experience I have ever had, yes really, that bad. DONOT go to this store for at least 6 months to a year when these guys get trained on how to do their job, especially management. This is on them. It took me 30 min to get through the drive through at 6:30pm on a Tuesday. They did not give me one of my meals… on me for not checking… I was sooo ready to get out of there. I went inside to get my meal and there were at least two others with their receipts doing the same thing. You could tell everyone in the dining area was dis-satisfied and several waiting for a LONG time for their food inside as well. The kid that was at the counter was not surprised at the missing meal and threw the to-go folks under the bus in seconds yelling, «To go team. you forgot another one» WOW, talk about team work and personal responsibility. The manager tried his best not to look at me, he was trying to help on the line… but obviouisly part of the problem and very inexperienced. There was a huge communication issue between all the folks in the kitchen and you could hear and feel the tension and frustration. With all this being said, the manager was moving way too slow to give anyone the impression that urgency was being expressed. A family walked in with several children, I let them know that they should go elsewhere and not waste their time. I would not want to be in that situation with three small children waiting that long for food in a dining area full of negative energy. Watch Undercover Boss on NBC, Checker’s CEO had a similiar experience with a new store and shut it down until he could get the staff and management trained. This needs to happen to Church’s in RR, immediately!

Spicy Chicken strips where have you been? Here that’s where! Some of this may be nostalgia and convenience, but overall they do the chicken strips right and spicy here for a quick lunch break. The fries needed some work, but that was overcome easily by the white pepper gravy and buttery biscuit. There are not many chicken places in this area, so they fit very well as another go to for a quick lunch trip while you are out and about.

I will first start off by saying when i went here it was their first day opening. They had just opened at 12 i think or 2 i think… either way it was their first day. Orders were taking about 30 min in the dinning room. From what it looked like was there were too many Cheifs and not enough Indians. Not enough smoke signals as well. Or i should say… Communication. The employees were very nice and yes sir no sir. There was this one manager that was running drive thru that could have had a smile on his face and been a bit chipper but like i said they were stressed as it was their first day and lots of people where stairing at them wanting their food. I have been in Fastfood before and i know the pressure they were under when you grand open a new store. I have had plenty of experience with grand openings that i would say they just needed better comminication and having people stay at their own station instead of jumping from station to station. I would go back just to see after they have been opening for a while to see if the service is better and i will write another review… but being in their shoes before i rated them a 4 for now. They have a small dinning room and not enough chairs or tables so that is one that you have to think about if you want to eat their.
