Absolutely my go to for delivery. Excellent customer service, quick delivery, the food is HOT when it arrives at my door. The food? Simply awesome. Best Chinese food around. No worries at all when I order… I know it’s going to be hot, fresh, and of the highest quality.

The empty restaurant at 7:30 pm on Friday night should have been a clue. This is a once and done experience. Not good. Lemon chicken was not lemony. Sauce was a watery slurry served in a bowl with a hint of lemon. Shrimp lomein was super fishy smelling and the shrimp were tiny. Lomein was way over sauced. Fried rice was nothing more than plain rice that was stir fried with a little oil until browned. No vegetables, no egg, no flavor. Sometimes a hole in the wall is real good, and then other times it’s just a hole in the wall. All that for $ 24 with only water to drink. Save your money!

The BEST Chinese food in central Texas. Not a big restaurant in size but you wouldn’t mind that with the excellent food. I’m glad I live just down the street from them.

This used to be our go-to take out place… The food was okay but nothing special… But it has gone downhill from that. The last two times our food was absolutely terrible. We thought it was a fluke and tried again. Inedible. I suspect a cleanliness problem. I’ve sworn them off.

Everytime I order from them the food is great and the customer service is splendid. I read the other reviews, and all seem so negative… but my experience has been nothing but wonderful! I guess with everything in life it’s a preference.

Hands down the best Chinese delivery in Round Rock. The food is always delicious, hot, and there is lots of it. Super fast delivery too. We’ve had it twice, it has been awesome both times. Not sure what is up with the past bad reviews, but this place is definitely worth giving a shot.

Found them quite by fate– a handful of their flyers were let loose in the parking lot at my apartment complex. Normally that would piss me off, but there are too few Chinese delivery places in Round Rock to complain about litter. They have a large menu and pretty good prices. Delivery took about 30 minutes. The food was piping hot and they got our order correct. The servings were very large, especially compared to Bamboo Garden. It was also freaking delicious. We’ll have leftovers for days. Only real complaint is that you can’t order on their website. First-world problem ;)

We should have wok’d on by. The food was very mediocre. The beef in the triple delight was mushy tasting and definitely not delightful. The shrimp was unmentionable. General Cho should have been court martialed. He was o.k., but didn’t deserve a salute. We paid way too much for this food. The cashier was polite. But we have had friendlier service elsewhere. There are just too many better Chinese restaurants around. Fellow Unilocalers nailed the reviews on this place.

I can’t believe this place gets any stars… I tried this place about 1 year ago on the advice of a friend of mine… it was bad then. Today I thought I would try again because I wanted to take beef dumplings to a super bowl party. I ordered the dumplings and sweet and sour pork. AWFUL, the dumplings were like rubber and the pork was so crunchy in batter that I almost broke a tooth. Furthermore in tasting the rice, it tasted like really old oil. Disgusting. I will never go back. The HEB in Victoria, TX is better than this place. Take a suggestion and clean your pots and pans!

The quintessential carry-out focused«Chinese» spot in Round Rock. MUCH larger portions than Beijing Express(at the corner of Sunrise and Old Settlers). They almost always get your order right and they’re quick. Nothing special. You get what you’d expect at a joint like this.

We order delivery from here pretty often, Love the crab puffs here. Last time I ordered them tho, I got no sweet and sour! Come on. How am I supposed to enjoy my Chinese takeout without sweet and sour sauce.

My fiancé and I had dinner here recently and we were pretty disappointed. I ordered Kung Pau chicken and it was not appealing. The chicken had a very soft texture, I prefer it to be a little browned, like it has actually seen the inside of a wok. It just wasn’t appealing, all soft and slimy with sauce. The sauce was Ok but it didn’t taste like any Kung Pau I’ve ever had. There was also a HUGE amount of celery, it dominated all of the 5 or 6 bites that I took. The fried rice did taste good but it was just seasoned, slightly oily rice, no egg or anything in it. The hot and sour soup wasn’t bad and the egg roll was good. My fiancé had Mongolian beef. That was actually good but it came with enough onions for at least 4 servings if fajitas. Seriously, the amount of onion and celery used was comical, we still laughed about it a day later. Will I go back? Maybe if I have a strong craving for egg rolls.

I just ordered from this place for the first time(delivery) and I thought the food was great. Okay, my fault that I ordered the Orange Chicken. I don’t like orange chicken but for some reason I felt the urge to order it. Maybe it was one of those pregnancy cravings kicking in(although I’m not pregnant) but that’s beside the point. Anyway, I ordered the spring rolls(4), orange chicken, and vegetable lo-mein. Besides the orange chicken(which was not disgusting — again, just not my thing), everything else was great. The spring rolls were a little on the skimpy side as far as filling goes, but they were fresh and still very tasty. The sauce it came with wasn’t too ketchupy and that’s how I like it. The vegetable lo-mein — can’t complain at all. Oh, AND they must have been out of bottled Diet Coke at the restaurant because the delivery guy presented me with two ice cold DCs in a Walgreens bag. Cool with me; delivery was under 45 minutes on a Friday night, and I just got me a free dog poop bag, which I was in need of :)

If you happen to find yourself on 79 in Round Rock and it’s around meal time and you’re hungry and you happen to be traveling West so that the turn into the drive is easy and you really have a craving for Chinese food, stop on in. I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here, but if all conditions above are met, I’d go again. The food was hot, piled high, traditionally flavored, and priced appropriately.

Reading a recent review, I had to chime in. This place used to be a GREAT place to go! We lived in RR for about 8 years, and this was my non-buffet Chinese 1st choice. They had great delivery service, take out orders were seamless, and food was GREAT! BUT… somewhere between then and now, that clearly changed. Last time I went there, for some good ol’ shrimp fried rice… I was hella disappointed. Salad shrimp. really? Wow. And I don’t mind the $ 1 charge for extra shrimp, but that styrofoam better be packed. Wasn’t. The flavor of the rice changed too! I went back twice after that, thinking it was a cooks issue. I even expressed this to them. but after the 2 tries failed me, I ha vent been back :(Sad, because they could totally monopolize on us up North of Austin that don’t have A LOT of food choices. but they don’t get my business anymore.

Wow, I am surprised at all of the negative reviews of this place. They have a very loyal following I have been thereat least a half a dozen times and always had a good experience. It is not a flashy Asian restaurant but the food is good and the really appreciate their return customers. on several occasions i have received free appetizers for no reason at all except that they remembered my face. It is a quick place to get in and out with better than average food. Try the shrimp fried rice, it is loaded with shrimp.

The place is under new management and boy did it go down in service/quality/price…will not go back. We ordered at the counter, and once my son and boyfriend ordered it was my turn. I tried to order 4 things and they«couldn’t make» them. One thing the chefs had not made before(Japanese dish) and weren’t sure they could make it. WTH???

So as I rambled around Round Rock the other day I slammed on the brakes and slid into another strip center on HW79; yes I choose China Wok for lunch. It was different then I expected. It is a small place and when you enter you go up to the counter to order. I guess I was expecting a more normal Chinese restaurant with a wait staff. I missed the lunch specials so I ordered a dinner combo and ice tea for about $ 12. For the ice tea I was given a Styrofoam cup and filled up my glass myself. My order was the beef and broccoli with egg roll and hot & sour soup and white rice. I must admit the beef and broccoli dish was large it had some beef and tons of broccoli in a brown sauce. I ate all the beef and some of the broccoli but when I was done it looked like my dish had not been touched there was so much broccoli left. It taste was OK but no feeling of Shangri-La. The egg roll was good and but it had the crispier style skin; I do prefer the softer type skin. The hot & sour soup was good and not to spicy. I left with a blah feeling that maybe this restaurant was not for me. Would I go back? Maybe not.

I was very disappointed in China Wok’s food. Being Chinese myself, I was already surrounded by the good stuff whether it was homecooked meals or take out from a Chinatown(Boston). When I moved to TX a few years ago, I had quite a task finding some good Chinese, but luckily someone had referred me to Din Ho. So, it was late, I was hungry and I didn’t want to drive very far. I had a craving for some Chinese so a quick trip to Unilocal and China Wok came up. It was only a few miles down the street so I hopped in my car to place a take out order. I ordered orange chicken, sizzling beef and some wonton soup. The orange chicken was ok, but the sizzling beef left was not good at all and left me sick. The wonton soup was way too salty. All in all, this is Americanized Chinese so if that is what you like – then this is the place to be. But, if you’re like me and want some more authentic dishes like chow foon, you’re much better off going elsewhere.
