I like to try new things, especially fusion. We stopped here on a whim. I had the general tso burrito which was very tasty and filling. Prices are good and the establishment is relatively low key.

Service was awesome — Our waitress was the shiznit. She kept up with our needs and was flawless. I called to ask if they served beer yet and was told no, not yet, but that we were welcome to bring our own. Woot! I wish every place was like this. I can’t complain about stopping and buying a sixer of budlight for $ 7 instead of paying $ 2-$ 3 a piece at a restauraunt. Anyway, yes, you can take your own beer in. I’m sure this will end once they get their license. The food was about a 7 on a scale of 1 – 10. It was good, but didn’t jump out and grab my taste buds. The red salsa that came with the chips was ok. It didn’t have near the kick to it that I like. I did ask for the green sauce as another reviewer mentioned and it was pretty good, Just the right amount of kick that I like. We were there on a Friday night and there were only about 7 other people in the whole joint. Hopefully it catches on sooner then later.

My husband and I were the only ones in the place, and that’s too bad. We enjoyed our entrees. We are both vegetarians. I had bean and cheese chalupas(aka tostadas), which had nice fresh ingredients. My husband had cheese enchiladas with guajillo sauce which he really liked. The waitress said it was a more«traditional» sauce like her mom makes. It had kind of a roasted flavor. The salsa had a nice flavor, but no heat. We got 2 punch cards for free stuff on our next visit.

I had the Ground Beef Enchiladas, the beef was hardly seasoned. For a place called Charro’s the Charro beans weren’t much more than beans in their juice. I may try the breakfast tacos, but I agree with the previous Unilocaler, I’ll be going elsewhere for lunch.

Charro’s serves a number of breakfast tacos that average $ 2 each, as well as a full lunch and dinner menu. Plates average under $ 10 and include most meals you would expect to find at a Tex-Mex place. They do stock Mexican Coke in glass bottles for those that like to enjoy a treat of real Coke instead of the HFCS stuff they make now. The red salsa brought out with chips is nice and tomatoey and not really hot. They do offer a hotter green salsa if you ask for it. I loved the chicken fajita tacos, which are served with plenty of cilantro. Charro’s offers decent iced tea and coffee as well, which is not always a given anymore(especially for iced tea.) Charro’s is not a big place, only about a dozen or so 4-seater tables and three bar-style taller tables suited mostly for single diners. There are two flat panel TVs mounted on the walls, but were not hooked up yet or on either time I’ve been there. Although there’s no shortage of Mexican food places in the immediate Four Points area, Charro’s would be a good choice. Update: place closed.
