Amazing food! The ribs were delicious! The greens were super vinegary — use the hot sauce to tame it. The fried green tomatoes were great. Macaroni was with white American or white cheddar, not sure but it was good also. People were raving about the banana pudding and I found it disgusting. I am sure it’s most likely an authentic recipe, but it wasn’t sweet at all. Even the whipped cream tastes like milk with no sugar. I guess I was expecting something better from the reviews. We sat outside which was awesome scenery — BUT they could really use some insect repellent out there! My family got but SOMANY times by spiders and mosquitos. My 1 year old had 5 bites on his leg! Other than those complaints the good was great and the service was awesome. Our waitress was very nice. They were out of smoked chicken so she offered to go to their sister restaurant across the street and bring over a rotisserie and put it in the smoker. It was amazing! This place gives you a down home country feel. A hidden gem for sure.

I was so pumped to visit Swallow at the Hollow! Came in for dinner last week and things were overall tasty with only a few disappointments. They only serve beer and wine so if cocktails are on your agenda think again. No biggie as they have a great craft brew selection! We all ordered a plate meal and our waiter informed us we could split it up half beef and half pork. We were jazzed! The food came out super fast. The pork was epically epic but the beef was dry sadly. I am a hugeeeee brisket lover so you can imagine my disappointment with the dry beef situation. I had potato salad and Mac and cheese as sides and baammmm they both rocked. I loved them! They offer three styles of BBQ sauce on the table, all tasty but I preferred the two thicker ones versus the vinegar one. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable but that beef man. Bummer! Not sure I will rush to come back, need to check out other BBQ joints in the area.
