I’ve know this business for over 20 years and bought my vintage Rolex from them. It was such a great deal the watch is now worth over 4 times what I paid for it. After they moved to Georgia I had my watch serviced twice by someone else in San Diego. It was always a hassle to get it back, once it took almost two months. It was extremely expensive for just cleaning and gaskets. So this time I decided to look up the store I bought it from. From the moment I received their email I knew I could trust them with it. They were professional and understood most importantly that I needed it back quickly. The price was fair and every detail of the repair was detailed on the receipt. They did not try to up sell me once I agreed to the repair and the price was fair. They also returned the old parts. Everything was communicated clearly and I received my watch delivered to my door. And to top it off the time and date was set and it appears to be keeping perfect time!

Bought a Breitling from Capetown and shortly after receiving the watch it started to stop running after not wearing it for 5 – 6 hours. I sent the watch back to Capetown for services and when I received it back… the same problem. I wrote their CEO about my disappointment and haven’t heard a peep from them –and honestly now don’t want to. The watch is visually in good shape but obviously there is something wrong with the inner workings. So not having faith in Capetowns abilities to identify and fix the issues I sent the watch back to Breitling for service. The list of issues with the watch was extensive. Some expected and others you would think Capetown would have caught.

I just received my Patek from Jonathan. Like all the other reviews have mentioned the watch was in perfect shape as described and purchased at a reasonable price. What really differentiates Jonathan and his family from other business is his customer service. It was a breath of fresh air dealing with him. I asked a ton of questions for which I got honest answers. As you can imagine spending this kind of money sight unseen from a distance can be unsettling. I have a friend who had a good experience with Capetown Diamond last year, so when purchasing a Cartier watch this year I decided to use Capetown as well. I wasn’t disappointed, Mort and the rest of the sales team were very helpful, easy to work with, and they got the watch to me very quickly. Without any hesitation I would use Capetown again in the future.

I found a pre-​owned Cartier watch on an internet search to give as a gift to my girlfriend. Contacted Capetown by a link and they returned my email the next morning. Got on the phone and they bettered the price, verified the «mint» condition, and promised delivery in two days. All came true. Watch arrived this morning (in one day as they even covered extra overnight shipping). Also included a full written warranty for 12 months plus lifetime parts, which I hadn’t expected. The watch is exactly as represented. Worked with «Mort» who has been pleasure to work with, totally professional in all respects. I expect I will give them further business as they appear to be family-​owned and have an actual storefront (3 of them it seems) and are legit. Very pleased.

Very disappointing — I put a diamond ring on consignment with them. After 6 months, they had never listed the ring or obtained the appraisal they said was necessary before listing the item. Total waste of time!

I found a hard-​to-​find watch on the website of these guys. I printed out the ad and physically took it in to talk to them about it. Once I told them the item had been discontinued and i was glad they still had it, they told me they would look for it and the price «SHOULD» still be the same. It wasnt. They found one and called me and they raised the price on it by over $ 300. From there it just went down hill and they refused to honor their original ad for the watch. Not good business practices!
