Good prices. Great food. It is very casual — food is served in styrofoam; there is no music. The staff are friendly and attentive.

My first day in Alpharetta and I was craving for Indian food. The location was good from outside and I thought the food would be good too but sala pet ka waat lag gaya! Reasons why you should not visit here: — Restaurant ambiance makes you feel like you are in a ayurvedic hospital — no music, no air conditioning an more importantly, no people — lol — Very limited options to eat — Self Service — you eat in paper plates! — $ 23 for 2 vegetarian curries and 2 uncooked naans! — Staff looks lost — the real banjaras: D — My Vegetarian Kurma was full of cucumbers and broccoli. Chef doesn’t know anything. — 15 minutes after eating food I started getting stomach ache and headache. Guys, if you want to eat here, you better have health insurance coz you will need to see a doctor soon. Good Luck!

Great for dine in or to go. Don’t expect an amazing atmosphere but good food. Not the best I’ve ever had but it is very good. Great nann. Good level of spice. Friendly cashier! Very quick for to go. Make sure you order rice if you get to go. We made the mistake of not realizing to order in addition to our meat dish.

Not good. Went for the 2nd time, yesterday. I won’t go again. Limited selection. Food quality was just okay, not great. And there’s not much of a crowd, so the food doesn’t turnover often enough(i.e. stay fresh). On top of that, the price had gone up from $ 6.99 to $ 8.99, which was one of the attractions in the first place.(I don’t think anyone thought it was the greatest or anything, but hey, it was cheap. Not anymore.) If I’m going pay that much, I’ll go to one of the bigger places with better: selection, food quality, clean environment, service, etc.

I started going to Banjara back in May when I started working in the area and go once a week or two. They have a good reasonably priced lunch buffet at $ 6.99. There are always a lot of Indian diners and the food is seasoned accordingly. A lot of the dishes have a good kick. There is always tandoori chicken and a very good chicken biryani. They make the naan bread fresh, and bring it to the table. The manager is friendly but non-intrusive. The place is pretty clean, in my opinion. If I have any complaint it is that the dishes don’t change much from visit to visit. However, the standards, which include both northern and southern dishes, are very good. Recommended.

You can go to this place only if you are unaware about what Indian food is like. If you do, you will just walk out in few mins. Waste of money. I couldn’t find even a single item that I can appreciate or recommend :-(

Doesn’t deserve to be on Unilocal!Period! Stale food, poor hygiene and worst service. Remote villages in India have better quality than this restaurant. Avoid if you want to be healthy and happy.

This place used to be good. I just ate their chicken biryani today. It was nasty. The guy said they have the best biryani in town. Looks like he don’t even know how biryani tastes. My last couple of experiences are pretty bad. All the good reviews must be from owner or who don’t know how indian food tastes

I’d love to be able to review the food, but that’s where the real issue lies with this place. Apparently some folks have been able to sample the fare. They must know something the rest of us do not. Contrary to the hours on the sign on the front door, there seems to be no rhyme or reason with regard to when they are open for business. Today was the 2nd time I’ve tried to stop in for lunch and found it closed. The one time I was able to successfully place an order, the woman at the front counter told me my debit card was declined. Upon further investigation at my prompting(knowing that I had a substantial sum in my checking account), it turns out they just did not know how to hook up their credit card machine to the intranet in the restaurant. Unfortunately, there is so much uncertainty about even being able to eat here when you walk out the door that I just can’t see rating it above one star.

I am not quite sure what this restaurant is. They have tables but no table service. It’s a carry out place. But you can sit and eat. Food is tasty. We tried the Chicken Tikka Masala, the garlic naan, and the chicken 65. Serving size was adequate and flavors were strong and bright and clear. The Chicken 65 was good — the dry fried type,. Also they gave us a delicious mango yogurt drink, free. The nan was hot and plentiful and the guy at the counter was really friendly.

Easy to order take out — just call ahead and give your name. Having read the other reviews, take out seemed the way to go. The restaurant is in the back north corner of the shopping center with Athens Greek Restaurant and Mazzy’s. I don’t think it would be a bad place to actually eat lunch — there are a few booths, mostly wooden chairs at tables. You order at the counter and then they bring your food to you. In my case, I’d ordered ahead and so mine was ready for pick up. Due to miscommunication, I didn’t end up eating the food until dinner. The Chicken Tikka Masala was in clear plastic container, as was the Saag Paneer. The samosas and rice were in small white styrofoam containers. The naan was wrapped in paper and foil. Everything was delicious. I’d ordered everything mild, but there was still a good bit of spice to the Saag Paneer — enough that I’m glad it was my husband and me eating it instead of my spice-challenged friend. The CTM was very thick, perhaps from sitting in my car all day. The pieces of naan are huge and doughy. If you’re eating all the rice and you got samosas, you could probably stretch one piece between 2 people. But each piece is only $ 1.49, so it’s not like it will break the bank to get another.

Very good tikka masala and chili chicken. Also liked the yellow dal. No communication issues, either, which I do appreciate.

This is a small eatery located on Alpharetta Hwy. right next to Navrang Theater in the shopping plaza. The ordering is similar to a fast-food joint so don’t take your seats and expect someone to take the order for you. This was my first time with my colleagues and we were just sitting for a while until we realized about the ordering system. Good ambience and clean. I recommend paneer butter masala curry, garlic naan and biryanis. Also awesome Egg curry. Rice and naan are separate. Avoid dosas, appetizers and snack items altogether. No salt and no taste at all. Overall good price. Value for money.

I tried this last week — went there to eat, but decided it was more of a take-out place, so that’s what I did. Very fast and polite service, and very good prices. The food I had was very good indeed(and though I’m not Indian, I’m a Brit and know my Indian food!) The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is that I found the menu somewhat limited. And, while it’s a great take-out place, I don’t think I’d want to eat there. But I will be back for take-out — and looking forward to it!
