After years of not trying it because of the name, we gave Chicken Time a try. Their fried chicken is delicious!!! Far better than any of the chains! It was crispy and flavorful on the outside and moist and flavorful on the inside too! The fried seafood we’ve had is always great too! The sides were nothing to write home about though. The staff is super friendly and helpful too!

My first time here was in 2001-02 but I started coming somewhat regularly since 2005. Their chicken fingers, fries, mozzarella sticks, and onion rings are delicious. I can’t comment on the other foods since I haven’t tried them, but they look just as good. I bring my friends here on occasion as well and they also love the food. The place may be a little run down, but there is something about the atmosphere that makes it more desirable.(call me crazy)

Wings are definitely good: plump, hot & tasty. Just get them to go.(You’ll see why).

Placed our order online which was quick and easy. They have delivery so that was also good. We got the fried chicken and ribs along with mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese. The chicken and ribs were pretty good. I felt like they had a good opportunity to make the meal especially good if they offered better mashed and Mac and cheese. The sides were just shmeh. Overall we would order from here again but maybe try some different sides.

I almost gave this place one star. The chicken being passable earned it the second star. Along with my chicken, I ordered macaroni salad, which turned out to be tri-color rotini pasta salad. The pasta salad was more like an oil soup with a dash a vinegar. I also got mashed potatoes and gravy. The mashed potatoes were not great, but how could you mess up mashed potatoes? Well, they figured out how, by drowning them in a dark gravy that had an overpowering vinegar taste. This was a seriously disappointing meal, when I was starving. I’ll eat anything when I’m starving, but this meal made me upset. Since it’s Chicken Time, I’ll give my opinion on the chicken. The batter was kind of crispy, but bland. It wasn’t overcooked, or burned; but the chicken was kind of slimy under the breading. This restaurant does not have a purpose. You can get better chicken, and sides, at any of the three major chains; at a much lower price, and in larger quantity. If a Popeye’s opened in Roslyn this place would be out of business in weeks.

I was looking for a chicken place with good reviews that delivered. I called Chicken Time but they don’t deliver to the Towers at Wyncote. They deliver to Arcadia University though which is DIRECLTY across the street. It’s a shame really because there are three buildings in the compex with a minimum of about 400 residents each. They could stand to make a lot of extra revenue to expand their travel radius from 3.3 miles to 3.5 miles.

I just threw away my whole meal. My company ordered from here because it had decent reviews and they delivered. Bad idea. The only good thing that was said was the fried chicken was ok. I got the grilled chicken and shrimp with mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes looked and tasted like they stopped off at KFC before they came by. The shrimp was heavily breaded popcorn shrimp that was way over cooked. The cocktail sauce seemed to have been frozen. The grilled chicken which should have been good considering their name, was fatty and had way too much pepper. From looking at the other meals and talking to my coworkers, the sauces looked and tasted odd. The food was not well put together and most of it was tossed out. Chicken parm should have either been a sandwich or over pasta, but it was just a piece of chicken over fries. Same with the bbq chicken. Looks like they just threw it together like they don’t care. I cannot recommend going here for anything.

Fried Chicken Excellent. Fries not bad. Mashed Potatoes — not great. The place looks a little dumpy from the outside — but the food is fresh and hot, and the people working there have always been very nice. The chicken was not greasy at all — and the spicy chicken was a nice alternative. They had corn nuggets(which I love) that were also great and not greasy — I cant be sure — but they did look like they cooked the chicken and the fish separate, unlike a lot of places, and is a huge pet peeve of mine. They are open really late which is great for the weekends. Haven’t tried the wings or ribs — but maybe this weekend.

The food at this place is alright, at best. My biggest complaint is the personnel that work there and the way they treat the customer! This owner hires a bunch of youngsters to work there who are rude, sarcastic, and outright offensive! What makes it worse is when you try to state your complaint to the owner, he ALIBIS for their behavior! During a recent visit, because one the younger workers couldn’t accurately explain a substitution issue on the menu, he started screaming at me right in the store! Screaming at a customer??? Are you kidding me? What made it worse was when the owner came out of the back when he heard the raised voices, he started explaining the menu issue to me instead of turning to that employee and saying, «YOU’REFIRED!»(I’m guessing he’s MORE interested in maintaining cheap labor than customers.) The owner then told me about issues the kid had, etc. Seriously? And he’s just going to excuse that? Unreal! The final straw came about 20 minutes later when a call came into my cell phone from the«Chicken Time» phone number. Since I missed the call, it went into my voice mail. I played the message back and all it the entire 18 seconds of message was the sound of someone either repeatedly pushing a cash register button or the one of the phone keypad buttons. I went the next day and before I played it for the owner, he lied right to my face and told me that it was him calling me back because I forgot an item with my order. I played it back and afterward just looked at him and said, «A this endless series of beeps is you telling me I forgot something???» If you have no concern or standard about how your are treated then, by all means, feel free to go to «Chicken Time.» But if you have reasonable expectations of any place you do business with, avoid this joint like the plague.

Best Fried Chicken place I have ever been to. I love their wings(buffalo & jumbo), their fried chicken buckets, their potato salad, and their fries. Haven’t tried their seafood yet, but definitely plan to! Fast delivery & very reasonable prices for everything!

The fried chicken was awesome! Crispy on the outside and tender in the inside. Also tasted very fresh! But was pretty much average, nothing at all special. but if youre hungry and in the area it will get the job done! Also they don’t take credit or debit.

Great fried chicken. Good wings. Decent fries. They deliver, which is probably their biggest selling point. Food always arrives quickly and hot.

Fried food HEAVEN. fried fish, fried chicken, fried anything. I especially like the corn nuggets, tiny pockets of sweet creamed corn, deep-fried. they have sides like mac n cheese and mashed potatoes with gravy as well. It’s not healthy eating, but when you are trying to get your GRUBON and you think you might be a chicken zombie… it’s chicken time.
